    After the arch is mounted, the wall adjacent to the room is sheathed, you can proceed to the next stage - sheathing and insulation of two side walls, the ceiling and the “screen”.

    All the loggias that I sheathed, and this is more than two dozen, were insulated with either foam or pressed foam. Some of them overwintered 6-7 winters and no problems arose.

    You can also insulate with mineral wool, but I’m not sure if the wool will absorb moisture, since the “dew point”, when insulated with wool from the inside, will be inside the loggia.

    Therefore, you can not experiment, but feel free to glue dense foam plastic on good glue, seal all possible gaps with mounting foam and be sure that the walls will not freeze and it will be warm in winter.

    For sheathing the walls of the loggia, it is supposed to use moisture-resistant drywall, but this is not at all necessary.
    Moisture-resistant drywall is used for cladding rooms with high humidity, a well-insulated, heated loggia, which is a continuation of the room, cannot be called a damp room, so you can safely use ordinary wall drywall, there will be no negative consequences from this.

    Also, to embellish the loggia, to make it more expressive, you can mount it from drywall decorative elements on the ceiling or walls, as well as place decorative lighting on the ceiling or in the arch.

    Another important point regarding heating. It is best when the heating radiator is located directly on the loggia itself, on the wall under the window - the “screen”. In this case, excellent heating of the loggia and uniform distribution of heat throughout the room is ensured.

    But if for some reason you cannot put a radiator on the loggia, then you can place it in the room.

    Many of my clients have different reasons it was not possible to place a radiator on the loggia, but nevertheless, none of them complained and they did not have any significant problems.

    What are the main differences between a loggia and a balcony? The loggia floor panel is not only extended beyond the outer walls, as in balconies, but also rests on the side walls, so their load-bearing capacity is much greater than that of balconies.

    But the main disadvantage of balconies is their weak bearing capacity. If you load it with such a weight, this does not mean at all that the balcony will collapse. But the slightest crack in the slab can end in disaster.

    Is it worth living in constant fear?

    Therefore, I believe that balconies should not be attached to rooms. You can put metal-plastic windows on a pre-welded frame, which is attached to the outer walls and, accordingly, takes on part of the weight. Inside, sheathe with light clapboard, MDF or wood and mount light wooden floor.
