Step-by-step instruction

  3. First, using the prepared cord, we make the winding of the hoops. At the end of the process, the frame should be completely covered with cord. Description of work

  1. Fold the piece of fabric into two layers. Using a marker and a ruler, mark the corner, cut it off (as shown in photo 1).

  7. To make the structure strong, weld a pre-bent horizontal rod.

  9. Finish all welds with a corner grinder.
  10. Degrease the metal frame-frame with a special compound, paint it with your chosen paint in 2 layers.

For the frame, you can use steel, copper or plastic pipes, rods, tree branches. metal pipes, if you need to bend them into a circle, you will have to roll them on special machines, so it’s better to use an old gymnastic hoop of a suitable diameter instead. The rods can be bent by first soaking them in water. Frame parts can also be made from pvc pipes or from metal-plastic with a diameter of at least 32 mm.

For the base, round or profiled pipes can be used. In order for the furniture to withstand the weight of the person sitting, the size of the pipe section must be at least 30 mm with a wall thickness of 3-4 mm. The base must be made very stable to prevent the chair from tipping over.

When making a frameless chair from a piece of fabric, you can put a circle of plywood inside to give the seat a comfortable shape. Of course, it must be sheathed with a cloth and pillows should be placed on top.

From the many types of materials, you need to choose the most appropriate for the conditions of use of furniture. Fabric chairs, for example, are not advisable to use outdoors, since most of these materials fade in the sun.   5. The upper hoop, which will be the back, is braided in the same way. In this case, weaving is performed from top to bottom and ends at the bottom hoop. The remaining pieces of cord can imitate the fringe for the resulting seat.
