Cabinet floor under the oven. Cabinet under the oven and hob - assembly steps of the simplest design. Placing the oven in a pencil case also has its advantages and disadvantages.

Hello dear reader! If you are now thinking about the design of the cabinet for the oven, then read the article to the end and you will learn almost everything possible options. I will talk in detail about the pros and cons of each version.

The result of reading the article will be your conscious choice of a particular module. You will know exactly why you need such a cabinet and you will get maximum pleasure from your choice in the future.

Oven cabinet designs

There are two main types of oven modules. And each of them has its own additional variation. The most common type is the oven under the hob. And the second, in my opinion more convenient, is an oven in a pencil case.

The design of the cabinet under the hob has two options - with a drawer at the bottom oven and with a drawer on top of the oven. The pros and cons of each design will be discussed in the following paragraphs.

The cabinet design in a pencil case, at eye level, has an option with a work surface above the cabinet and in a pencil case at eye level without a countertop. I will talk about the pros and cons of each design in the following paragraphs.

Advantages and disadvantages under the hob

When the cabinet is located under the hob, a common cooking area is created. Particularly relevant design to save space in the kitchen. A definite plus is that such a cabinet is suitable for a hostess with any height.

The downside, with this arrangement, is the work in a bent state. You will have to constantly bow while cooking and cleaning the oven. If your woman has a bad back, you will be left without baked meals.

There is a cooling vent at the bottom of the hob. When the drawer is located on top, under the hob, there is a risk of blocking this system. If a sheet of paper gets into this box, it simply sucks in and the air flow is blocked.

Advantages and disadvantages of the design in the pencil case

The location of the oven at chest level is a comfortable operation of the stove. The hostess is happy to cook a lot of delicious food. She doesn't have to bend down to look into the closet. And cleaning doesn't take much effort.

Perhaps the only drawback, when the oven is located in a pencil case, is the difficulty of using it for women of small stature. Again, by design, this problem is easily eliminated.

You should focus on the reinforcement on which the oven stands. To do this, you need to screw two strips to the sidewalls of the canister, under the carrier horizon. The stove has a decent weight and without reinforcement there is a risk of collapse of the structure.

Dimensions and assembly diagram of the cabinet for the oven

The dimensions of the built-in oven remain unchanged. Therefore, when designing a cabinet, you can never make a mistake. About 2 years ago, the hinges on the cabinet door were replaced. Now it does not stick out from below when opening.

in front of you standard scheme assembly cabinets under the oven. Pay attention to the inner sidewalls, they are mandatory in the design - they reinforce the horizon. The bottom and horizon are 20 mm shorter than the sides, for cabinet ventilation. The diagram does not show a box.

Detailing

600×530 – 1 Bottom

568×530 – 1 carrier horizon

704×550 – 2 Sidewalls

88×550 – 2 Supports under the horizon

477×50– 2 Front and rear drawer slats

116×596 – 1 Front

505×495 – 1 DVPO Drawer bottom

Within walking distance from you, located according to the calculation of cabinet furniture.

Before you is a standard scheme for assembling a pencil case with an oven. The design also contains slats reinforcing the bearing horizon. The horizons above the oven are 20 mm shorter in depth. For free air circulation.

Detailing

600×550 – 1 Bottom

568×550 – 1 carrier horizon

2024×550 – 2 Sidewalls

60×550 – 2 Supports under the horizon

716×596 – 2 Front

715×595 – 1 DVPO Back wall bottom

709×578 – 1 DVPO Rear wall top into groove

The cabinet assembly scheme without sidewalls has a number of advantages over other options. There is no need for reinforcing bars, the drawer is correspondingly wider. A gap is added on the sides of the walls of the oven and of course less material consumption.

500×50 – 2 drawer side rails

116×596 – 1 Front

115×595 – 1 DVPO Back wall

537×495 – 1 DVPO Drawer bottom

Required ventilation

Particularly meticulous customers express dissatisfaction with the front gap between the countertop and the oven in 5-6 mm. This clearance is necessary for correct operation hob and oven.

Not everyone knows that there is a cooling system in the hobs, it is located at the bottom of the structure. The necessary flow circulates through this gap. Air enters through the distance between the base and the bottom of the cabinet, goes around the back of the cabinet and exits from the top.

I detailed the topic of oven outlets in. In which he told where and how to install sockets for the oven. Pointed to common mistake. If you are planning to install a cabinet, you should definitely read it.

Conclusion

The oven in the kitchen is one of the important elements and its location should be well thought out. In order not to regret the decision made in the future. I hope my article will help you cope with this task.

If you need detailing cabinet or built-in furniture,. We will certainly discuss the terms of cooperation and come to a consensus. For a moderate percentage for my work, I will prepare a detailed project for you on time.

By mounting the oven above the usual level, the cooking process becomes much more comfortable. In our article you will see different variants oven cases and find out what sizes experts recommend for creating a module.

Two high modules are designed for mounting equipment. One cabinet fills the refrigerator and a storage shelf, the second has a built-in oven at the level of the countertop and roomy shelves that cover the facades.

Pencil case dimensions

Approximate dimensions of the canister (HxWxD): 2040x600x550 mm.

The area of the room and design features make adjustments to the overall dimensions of the cabinet.

Embedding dimensions. Gorenje ovens are purchased complete with similar instruction for mounting. The graphical example shows the Gorenje B2000Р2 model.

1. Wardrobe to order

This option is most popular among buyers, since the master takes into account all the details of the layout in the process of making the kitchen. The main thing is to choose the equipment in advance and provide accurate data on the dimensions to the specialist.

Modern headset without technology. All sockets for appliances are pre-displayed. The next stage is installation.

The combination of beige color and texture under the tree on corner kitchen. In one pencil case, a built-in oven and a microwave oven were placed on a separate shelf.

White kitchen in minimalist style. A microwave oven and an oven are built into a tall cabinet that completes the composition of the headset.

Bright turquoise furniture angular shape. The independent oven set was set to a comfortable height level.

Strict interior, minimum details. For such a kitchen, it is better to choose built-in appliances.

The cabinet with the oven is located next to the hob, so the cooking area is concentrated in one part, and a large working area remains.

2. Factory pencil cases

Kitchen manufacturers offer customers ready-made furniture options for built-in appliances. The main difficulty lies in the fact that the dimensions for embedding coincide with the actual dimensions of the furniture. That is, you will have to act from the opposite - choose an oven for certain parameters, or adjust the furniture during installation.

Remember, the control panel must be above the level of the belt, and the installation height of the oven must not exceed the level of your eyes, otherwise the operation of the appliance during cooking will not be comfortable.

Cabinet for oven and hob - assembly steps the simplest design

March 27, 2018
Specialization: master in construction drywall constructions, finishing work and installation floor coverings. Installation of door and window blocks, facade finishing, installation of electrics, plumbing and heating - I can give detailed advice on all types of work.

Today we will figure out how to assemble a reliable cabinet for the oven and hob. Work is within the power of almost any person, the main thing is to have at hand necessary materials and tool.

Stages of work

Let's figure out how to properly organize the workflow, for simplicity, we divide all activities into 3 stages:

  • Training;
  • Cabinet assembly;
  • Cutting a hole in a table top.

Preparatory work

To get started, collect everything you need:

  • Chipboard blanks for furniture, They are made in accordance with the rest of the elements of the kitchen set. The standard width of the cabinet is 600 mm, the depth is from 400 to 600 mm, the 600 mm option is most often used, most ovens fit under it;
  • Furniture supports. The cheapest plastic elements will do, they are easy to use and easy to attach;

  • Fasteners for construction. We will tighten the locker with euro screws, which are also called confirmations. The guides for the drawer are screwed with self-tapping screws 3.5x16 mm;
  • Drawer guides. It is better to purchase a ball version, it is much more reliable and durable than standard roller elements.

From the tool you need the following:

  • screwdriver. In the kit, stock up on equipment: nozzles for self-tapping screws and euro screws, drills of different diameters;

Additionally, purchase a special drill for confirmations, it makes a hole and at the same time selects a pot under the head of the fastener.

  • Electric jigsaw. Necessary for drilling an opening in the countertop under the hob;
  • Measuring fixtures, you can do with a tape measure and a pencil.

Assembling the cabinet under the oven

Let's figure out how to assemble a cabinet under the oven. Regardless of the size of the structure, it is always assembled in the same way:

Illustration Description

Side walls being prepared. It is best to order them in ready-made, but you can cut the material yourself, for this you use a power saw or a jigsaw.

Sidewalls are being prepared:
  • The line of attachment of the guide is drawn, the height of its location depends on the height of the drawer;
  • Holes are drilled along the location of the partition on which the oven will stand. It is located above the drawer.

Exposed guide, it aligns with the outer end of the structure and the previously drawn line.

The guide is fixed. For this, self-tapping screws are used, which are located in holes specially designed for this. There must be at least four fasteners per rail.

Another guide is similarly attached to the second wall.

The bottom of the cabinet is being prepared. 4 holes are drilled in it for confirmations, the indent from the front and back sides is 50-70 mm, the indent from the edge to the middle is 9 mm, since the thickness of the plate is 18 mm.

If the thickness of the chipboard is 20 mm or more, then the indentation is made by half the thickness of the plate.

Legs attached to the bottom. Points are marked with an indent of 5 cm from the edges, and supports are attached there. They are screwed on self-tapping screws 3.5x16 mm.

The bottom is placed on the edge, the side of the cabinet is combined with it. Holes are pre-drilled in it using a confirmatory drill.

Side walls screw on. To do this, euro screws are inserted into the holes and tightened with a screwdriver so that the cap is flush with the surface.

A partition is inserted on which the oven will stand. It is screwed on with confirmations from the sides.

Cabinet is almost ready. It remains to assemble the box according to the size of the opening and attach the mating parts of the guides to it.

The finished box is inserted into the opening. The cabinet is ready, you can proceed to the preparation of the countertop.

Preparing the worktop for the hob

The table-top can be both separate, and integral for all working zone. A cabinet is placed, a tabletop is fixed on it and the following work is carried out:

Illustration Description

The center of the panel is marked. The line is drawn strictly perpendicular to the wall.

For this marking, the outer part of the hob is pre-measured.

Built-in oven - very convenient. This device is an independent "player" in the kitchen and can be installed where you can not put a classic oven combined with a hob.

The oven set is a very important part modern kitchen. Built-in oven, hob, as well as a storage box for accessories. Such cabinets have indents for ventilation of the device, which distinguishes them from ordinary cabinets.

Interesting fact! The first built-in ovens appeared more than half a century ago. Now these devices are the best-selling in the world, despite the prevalence of classic models of ovens.

There are several types of cabinets for installing the oven:

  1. Cupboards. In the design of this type of oven, they are built in at eye level, and spacious cabinets are installed below for storing various kitchen utensils.
  2. Under the hob. Such devices are more like the classic version of ovens combined with stoves. They are less convenient than pencil cases, because when cooking you need to constantly bend over, which brings some discomfort. And also there may be problems with cleaning the oven. But they have advantages in some situations. For example, in small kitchens it will be difficult to put a large cabinet for the oven. Also, this design is suitable for those who concentrate all the items for cooking in one place.

Pros and cons of the design in the pencil case

Pencil cases have a number of conveniences: when cooking, you do not need to bend over, it is easier to follow the cooking process. Such headsets are useful for owners with back problems. Of course, their scope is much wider than just the location of the oven. There you can install a slow cooker, toaster or other kitchen appliances.

Since the ovens are at a height, it is important that the fastening is strong, because if the structure collapses, injuries can occur.

How to make a cabinet under the oven with your own hands

It is not difficult to make such a headset yourself. It is important to have basic knowledge and necessary materials. Self-collection is cheaper, and the procedure itself usually takes about three hours. Creation takes place in several stages:

  • Dimensions. Standard sizes of headsets: width - 60 centimeters, height - 85 centimeters. It is necessary to calculate the size of the headset in advance so that the width of the oven is 1-2 centimeters less;
  • Materials:
  1. Plywood, thickness - 18 mm;
  2. Materials for countertops with a thickness of about 30 mm;
  3. Drawer guides;
  4. Furniture supports (ordinary, plastic);
  5. Euroscrews or confirmations, Self-tapping screws (3.5 by 16 mm);
  6. Screwdriver, tape measure, pencil, ruler;

Drill 4 holes in the bottom, indent on the right and left -60 centimeters.

  • Assembly. Count 5 centimeters from the edges to the middle, attach the legs. Put the bottom on an edge, attaching the side parts (the holes on the bottom are specially for this). Screw tighter so that the screw head does not protrude from the plywood. Then we attach the partition, screwing the confirmers through the side holes.

Prepare the box by installing the mating parts of the guide.

Let's move on to the next part of the design - installing the hob. First, in the countertop, determine the center where the hob will be installed. To do this, you need to additionally measure the outer part of the plate. After that, outline the dimensions of the future opening into which it will be installed inner part panels. Measure the inside.

It is important to make drawings five millimeters larger for free entry of the structure. Then drill a hole in the line. It is important that it does not go beyond the line. After that, the jigsaw blade is inserted and an opening is cut out.

Then try to insert hob in the opening If necessary, carry out additional trimming. Then fix the device with the fasteners that come with the stove.

Ventilation

Good ventilation is essential for ovens to function properly. It is important to take care of this even before making a curbstone for the oven. For good ventilation, install the oven 60 mm from the headset wall, and the gaps on the side and bottom should be approximately 5 centimeters.

Some cabinets are designed with a special gap between back wall and bottom for more productive ventilation. It is important to take care of this in order to avoid damage to furniture, as well as breakage of the oven itself. Carefully read the instructions for the oven before constructing the cabinet.

findings

Ovens are a real miracle of technology. After the introduction of built-in devices without a cooktop, people have the freedom to choose the location of this device. They are compact, they have more useful and interesting features that will help you create culinary masterpieces.

Although for such ovens you need to purchase special kitchen sets, competently understanding this issue, we will be able not only to purchase comfortable and high-quality cabinets, but also to create them with my own hands, with basic dexterity and the necessary materials.

At present, the vast majority kitchen sets are designed with, therefore, understanding the design of such modules is very important.

The box we are considering has two fixed sizes:

  • This is its width, which is equal to 600mm
  • And, which is also equal to 600mm (sometimes, the opening is designed with a height of 595mm).

From the total height of the box, only the size of the lower drawer with a facade depends.

The dimensions of the niche for the installation of the equipment we are considering can always be found in the instructions for it.

Let's calculate the details of the module:

Horizon - 600 by 460 (mm) - 1 pc.

Side - 870-28-100-16 \u003d 726 (mm), where 28mm is the thickness of the tabletop, 100mm is the distance from the box to the floor (height of the supports), 16mm is the thickness of the lower horizon.

  • Side - 726 by 460 - 2 pcs.
  • Horizon 2 - 600-32=568 (mm), where 32mm is the thickness of the two sides of the box.
  • Horizon 2 - 568 by 460 - 1 pc.
  • Body bar - 568 to 100 - 1 pc.

A few words should also be said about the hull bar.

In this case, it is designed alone, moreover, it is located 10mm below the upper edge of the side ().

This is done so that when using a 28mm thick tabletop, it is normally attached to the tabletop and does not rest against the bar itself (sometimes the dimensions of this technique can go beyond the dimensions of the tabletop in height).

By the way, I often met training materials on the net, where in the box we are considering, the hull bar is not designed at all.

I think this approach is not correct, since this bar maintains the distance between the sides of the module, and in any case it is necessary.

Calculate the facade for the drawer below

The height dimension it overlaps is:

870-28-100-600=142 (mm), where 100mm is the height adjustable feet, 600mm - inner opening of the box.

You also need to know that the depth of the oven is such that with a back “overlap” of the countertop on the box of 100 mm (namely, this (and more) size should be given for kitchens that include such modules), in the projection of the oven (on the wall ) there should be nothing (sockets, pipes, etc.), since the cabinet may simply not “become” into the box.

The photo shows an option when there are sockets on the part of the wall visible through the opening, which then had to be removed. Therefore, these problems need to be addressed at the design stage of the kitchen, and not when it is almost installed. Also, you need to consider the evenness of the floors. If they are not even, then the lower modules will be adjusted, and accordingly, the position of the projection of the opening of our box on the wall will change.

All this must be taken into account.

Similar modules can also be designed in such a way that it is located not from below, but from above, but we will talk about that.

That's all.

See you in the next articles.
