What can be done with fridge magnets. We make fridge magnets (and not only) from improvised, waste and natural materials. Fridge magnet made of polymer clay

You don't have to buy expensive accessories to decorate your home. Some little things will help to revive the interior, and making them is very easy. For example, appearance your kitchen will change a lot thanks to ... magnets on the refrigerator door.

Do DIY fridge magnet You can quickly enough, and for this you do not need any special materials.

Simple and bright do-it-yourself fridge magnet

What you need:

  • round magnets,
  • glass or plastic circles of the same size,
  • glue,
  • interesting pictures (you can cut them out of magazines or draw them yourself).

Making such interesting magnets will be easier than ever. You just need to glue the selected picture to the magnet, wait until the glue dries, and stick a glass circle on the picture.

Once the glue is completely dry, your magnet is ready.

Do-it-yourself living plant-fridge magnet

What you need:

  • magnets,
  • wine bottle corks,
  • glue gun,
  • Earth,
  • small plants,
  • screwdriver.

First you will need to make a small hole in the top of the cork with a screwdriver. Next, we expand this hole with a knife (very carefully, trying not to hook the walls of the cork).

We attach the cork to the magnet with a glue gun.

After that, you need to carefully pour the earth into the resulting recesses and plant the plants. Thus, magnets with living plants will appear on your refrigerator. Don't forget to water them regularly. As soon as the plants noticeably increase in size and no longer fit in traffic jams, transplant them into pots. And it will be necessary to fill the traffic jams with other soil and plant new plants.

Do-it-yourself "fabric" fridge magnet

What you need:

  • magnets,
  • needle,
  • fabric pieces,
  • threads in color.

Take a piece of fabric and cut a circle out of it, the diameter of which will be 3 times larger than the diameter of your magnet. Now you need to sew a "cover" for the magnet. Fold over the edge of the fabric piece and sew it. In the resulting "case" you need to put a magnet and gently pull the fabric with a thread.

Tie a knot at the end of the thread and cut off the excess.

This magnet will look great on your refrigerator. The fabric "cover" will protect your refrigerator from scratches. And if you want, you can change it without much difficulty.

Do-it-yourself fridge magnet

What you need:

  • magnetic tape,
  • acrylic paints,
  • wooden clothespins,
  • thin brush,
  • glitter (optional)

Making these magnets is pretty easy. You need to decorate the clothespins with paints and a brush (you can make the same pattern on all the clothespins or paint them different colors). If you want magnets to be bright and eye-catching, then use glitter. Glue a magnetic tape to the back of each clothespin.

Your clothespin magnets are ready. They will help to accurately record photos or notes.

DIY polymer clay fridge magnet

What you need:

  • magnets,
  • polymer clay,
  • rolling pin (can be replaced glass jar),
  • Bakeware,
  • stamps,
  • sandpaper,
  • ink pad,
  • glue gun.

First you need to roll out the polymer clay with a rolling pin. You should get a layer of clay about 0.5 cm thick. Use stamps and apply various patterns to this layer in a chaotic manner (so that they do not overlap each other). If you have an ink pad, then you can give the patterns the chosen color.

After that, using baking molds, cut out various blanks for future magnets from the clay layer.

Read the instructions on the polymer clay packaging. Depending on what is indicated there, leave the blanks to dry or bake them in the oven.

When the blanks are ready, carefully process them with sandpaper and glue magnets to the side on which there is no pattern. Let the glue dry and you can use ready-made polymer clay magnets.

DIY wooden fridge magnet

What you need:

  • small magnets,
  • tree branches,
  • sandpaper,
  • wood saw,
  • Super glue,
  • drill and drill for wood.

You will need to cut the branch into pieces about 2.5 centimeters thick, then process all sides of the workpiece with sandpaper. Using a drill, make a small hole for the magnet in the center of each blank. It must fit completely. Apply glue to the magnet and insert it into the hole. After 6 hours, when the glue is completely dry, you can hang magnets on the refrigerator.

Master class progress

1.Introduction.
The teacher enters with the children (4-5, who are well acquainted with the decoupage technique and able to explain the stages of work, if they wish to help adults). Introduces children of assistants and welcomes the participants of the methodological association:
- Dear colleagues. Today the guys and I will introduce you to a very interesting technique for decorating a wide variety of decoupage products.
slide number 1
The further story is accompanied by a presentation with the involvement of child helpers in the explanation.
- Before we start making crafts, let's turn to the topic of our meeting - "Ecology"
Slide number 2, 3
- Nowadays, the problem of pollution is very acute. environment all kinds of garbage. Wherever a person appears, he often leaves a dump behind him. We often see this picture with children when we go on excursions around the village. This makes us very angry. It has become a tradition, when going on excursions, to take garbage bags, gloves and clean Beautiful places our village.
Slide number 4, 5
- In addition to these direct measures, the guys and I make beautiful crafts from waste material (various jars, boxes, disks, containers from kinder eggs ...). We use them to decorate the group, kindergarten give to family and friends. The guys think about the fact that it is possible, it turns out, to give a "second life" to objects that we used to throw away. They bring them to the group, where we, subsequently, make exclusive, original things from them. This is a very interesting and exciting activity. We hope you will like it too.
2. Explanation of the stages of work on the product.
- Today we propose to make together with us a fridge magnet from an old and unnecessary CD disk.
slide number 6
Decoupage is a technique for decorating products with applique from the most different materials. Napkin decoupage is the most common and popular. About it and will be discussed further.
slide number 7
Consider the sequence of work on the example of such a product:

To make this craft you will need:
disk, napkin with coffee motifs, flat brush No. 12 (bristle), PVA glue, tile glue, Moment-crystal transparent glue, coffee beans, magnet, acrylic lacquer, white acrylic paint, sponge for coloring.

We prepare the disk for work in this way: cut out a circle from thick cardboard according to the size of the hole in the disk.

We cut out small circles from transparent adhesive tape and fix the cardboard on both sides of the disc.

We seal one side with masking tape to protect it from contamination during work.

Cut off excess tape around the edges. You can leave a small corner to make it easier to remove the tape later.

We paint the disc with white acrylic paint with a special sponge or foam rubber sponge.

slide number 8
Select the appropriate pattern on the napkin and cut it out. It is possible that the napkin is cut completely to the size of the disc.

Slide number 9, 10

We lay out the cut out fragments of the picture on the disk, thinking over the composition.

Glue with PVA glue. Lubricate the surface of the disk with glue.

We place the cut out fragment of the picture on top. We smear with a brush, smoothing and soaking the napkin.

Adhering to this algorithm, we glue the rest of the drawings and inscriptions.

slide number 11
Note: Work in the decoupage technique implies stages in manufacturing and requires intermediate drying of the product. To speed up this process, we will dry the craft with a hairdryer.
If necessary, apply an additional background of a different color. slide number 12 and 13
In this case, this is not required.
We cover the product with acrylic varnish slide number 14

We dry. Now you can remove the masking tape from the inside of the product and stick the magnet. Glue with glue "Moment-crystal"

The most interesting stage is the decoration of the product. Examples can be seen at Slides 15, 16, 17, 18.
It all depends on your imagination. You can spray, draw, draw details, giving them volume, decorate with various decorative elements.
In our case, I decided to stick coffee beans along the edge of the disk.

When gluing the grains, I used a universal polymer adhesive for ceiling tiles. It practically does not smell, it is strong enough, I use it when working with children. You can use any strong glue that you are used to ("Moment-crystal, glue gun). The only condition is that it should be transparent after drying.

This is the result. On the slides of the presentation, there are options for crafts with a notepad for notes, with a decorative hook for potholders or towels.
slide number 19

3.Practical activity of children and adults - making crafts.
slide number 20 contains approximate stages of work in decoupage technique. It remains throughout the entire master class.

Do fridge magnet not just simple, but very simple. You can do this by yourself or with your children. This is great for developing imagination and motor skills. This activity can also be turned into an exciting hobby. Anything can be used as an idea for a homemade fridge magnet. Alternatively, you can look at the photos that are offered to your attention in this article.

How to make a fridge magnet

Before you do fridge magnet, you need to think about its function. It can be a photo or picture magnet, a decorative magnet holder for small notes and notes, a toy magnet or.
To make a fridge magnet you will need:

  • small magnets;
  • scissors;
  • PVA glue;
  • Super glue.

This is the essential kit for every magnet maker. Then everything depends on your imagination. The main thing is to do a beautiful craft small size, so that it looks harmoniously on the door of your refrigerator.
Recently, I came across Cool photo magnets from Instagram. This can also be an idea for your crafts. Simply print out the photo, stick it on thick cardboard or plastic, and attach a small magnet to the back of it. The painted flat pebbles also look very nice. Once, my friends and I made cool magnets from salt dough. After the dough hardens, you can paint it with paints and varnish it. Glue a magnet on the back and attach it to a refrigerator or other metal surface.
As you can see, there are a lot of ideas for creating cool fridge magnets! Turn on your imagination and create!

salt dough fridge magnet

You will need:

A glass of flour;

1/2 cup salt (fine);

1/4 cup water;

Colorless varnish;

Glue (for example, super glue);

A piece of magnetic tape two centimeters long and one centimeter wide.

First of all, make dough for modeling, for this, put flour, salt and water in a bowl and mix everything (you should get a rather thick elastic mass, resembling plasticine in consistency).

Then roll out the resulting dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of about one centimeter. On cardboard, draw a shape of what shape you want to make a magnet, for example, a heart. Cut out the workpiece, put it on the rolled out dough, and then carefully cut the same figure out of the dough with a sharp knife. Put the cut out figure in a warm place for about 24 hours.

After the time has elapsed, paint the front side of the workpiece with gouache of any one color or several colors at once. Let the paint dry completely, then cover the figure with a colorless varnish. After the varnish dries, glue a super glue magnet to the wrong side of the workpiece. The fridge magnet is ready.

Fridge magnet made of polymer clay

You will need:

Polymer clay;

Hot glue;

Curly molds (you can use molds, for example, for cookies);

Toothpick;

A piece of magnetic tape;

Rhinestones or beads.

Pick up a piece of polymer clay, roll it into a layer about 0.5-0.7 centimeters thick. Put a figured mold on the resulting layer and press. The result was a blank of polymer clay.

Put the workpiece on a ceramic plate and send it to a preheated oven to 120-130 degrees for 20 minutes, then leave to cool at room temperature.

Using glue, glue a piece of magnetic tape to the wrong side of the workpiece, then decorate the front side of the magnet with rhinestones or beads (they can be laid out along the edge of the figure).

You will need:

Coffee beans;

Magnetic tape;

Beautiful button;

Bright satin ribbon 10 cm long and 0.5 cm wide.

On cardboard, draw a heart shape about 10 centimeters in diameter and cut it out. Carefully stick coffee beans on one side of the resulting workpiece, placing them as close to each other as possible. Stick a small piece of magnetic tape on the opposite side of the figure.

Fold a bow from a satin ribbon, then glue it on the front side of the magnet, then glue a bright button on the middle of this bow. The coffee magnet is ready.

I wanted to make simple souvenirs as a gift. But I had nothing: no blanks, no suitable napkins, no opportunity to make printouts... I had to improvise, and Alisa Lucinska's advice to use CDs turned out to be very helpful.

So, first of all, we need CDs and postcards. Finding suitable ones was also not so easy))) Most of them were made on the basis of photos, but I didn’t find the drawn ones right away. Getting Started)

1. Materials:

CD-disks (it is better to take those with one side completely smooth, without grooves)

Postcards (napkins, printouts)

White acrylic paint

PVA glue

Acrylic varnish

Cardboard

Acrylic paints

Sandpaper

Scissors

magnets

2. We skin the disc on both sides and prime it with one layer of white paint with a sponge.

3. Cut out circles from cardboard to mask the hole in the disk.

4. On the side where there are more irregularities, glue a larger circle. Since this is the wrong side of the magnet, it is not necessary to get rid of irregularities. And we will paint over the circle and then cover it with a magnet.

5. C front side glue smaller circles. How much depends on the thickness of the cardboard.

If cracks remain and there is a groove around the hole, you can cover everything with putty.

6. Again we paint with white paint, dry, skin.

7. Now we are engaged in a postcard. We soak it in water not for a long time, just a few seconds, so that it gets wet all over. If overexposed, the paint starts to burst and peel off. At least that's what happened to one of the ones I bought.

8. Then very carefully stratify the postcard. Again, if it is too wet, it will tear, if not completely soaked, then the top layer will come off unevenly, there will be flaps from the bottom layer of paper.

9. Since the image was printed on both sides, I received two pictures.

10. We cover the image with a layer of acrylic varnish to save the image. We dry.

11. Glue the image onto the disk with PVA glue, carefully smoothing and expelling bubbles. Dry. Sand off the excess from the edges.

12. We do the painting.

13. Varnish on both sides. Dry.

14. To decorate the edges, you can use whatever fantasy tells you) I had a thin white cord at hand. Glue it along the edge with transparent glue.

15. Glue a magnet from the inside. You can use a magnetic plate, or you can use small plastic magnets.

16. You can leave the wrong side white, or you can do this:

17. We hang it on the refrigerator, admire and delight our friends with author's gifts)
