Metal brazier do-it-yourself drawing. How to make a brazier with your own hands from metal: choose details and sizes. Do-it-yourself collapsible brazier: photos, drawings, videos, tools

Barbecues are on sale today at a wide range. But if you have good instructions, equipment, supplies and, of course, a desire, you can make a brazier with your own hands from metal.

Do-it-yourself metal brazier

Construction types

To begin with, decide on the type of future design, since the brazier happens:

  1. stationary;
  2. collapsible.

Stationary type structures are multifunctional, because by adding some elements, you can additionally get a smokehouse or a grill. Moreover, they are able to really decorate a suburban area.

And here mobile devices compact, making it easy to fit even in the car trunk, which is ideal for outdoor recreation. The design can be folding or collapsible.

What will be required at work?

Despite the fact that the designs are different, the list of everything you need in in general terms the same. Only the quantity may differ. consumable, because if it is planned to manufacture an overall stationary product with a roof, then, of course, more material will be required in this case. In a word, prepare for work:

  1. welding;
  2. screwdriver;
  3. grinder with circles to it;
  4. square;
  5. electric drill;
  6. roulette;
  7. electric jigsaw;
  8. a sheet of metal a few millimeters thick, an iron barrel or cylinder;
  9. wheels (required for a collapsible barbecue);
  10. corners measuring 2x2 centimeters;
  11. handle, hinges;
  12. fasteners;
  13. a pipe with a square section of 2x2 centimeters.

Note! There are many varieties of designs, so check out the most popular of them in order to choose the most optimal option.

Do-it-yourself brazier from a metal barrel

The design described in this paragraph of the article may be without a cover or with it. In the second case, halves of the container are used, in the first - the whole. But regardless of the option chosen, you should first sketch out a drawing of the planned product.

Below is a figure that allows you to understand all the elements and their sizes. If you want, you can improve this design, but the finished drawing will help in the manufacture in any case.

After that, you should prepare the elements from which the brazier will subsequently be assembled.

Note! This should start with the main thing, namely the barrel. You need to cut it.

To do this, use one of two methods:

After that, carefully clean all sections, remove burrs. Next, determine the dimensions of the corners needed to frame the opening. Cut pipes or corners for stands and legs, then prepare fasteners - it is advisable to purchase the latter with a small margin.

Option number 1

The easiest way to build a brazier from 1/2 barrels than to fix the lid on the front wall. For ease of use, start by arranging stands. In this case, pipes will be required, which can have both rectangular and round sections.

Step 1. If you cannot bend the pipe to the dimensions of the barrel, then, having made preliminary calculations, weld a corner from a pair of pipes, and then weld two more pipes to it, connected to the letter "T". Make the second leg in the same way. Connect them together with a jumper, although you can use a metal basket for storing firewood for this if you wish.

Step 2. After that, install 1/2 barrels on these legs and weld it to them. It is advisable to immediately start cleaning the welds so that this do-it-yourself metal barbecue element is left alone.

Step 3. Now start working on the half itself. First, weld a corner to its edges so that the design looks more neat. A kind of shelf has formed, on which you will put the skewers.

Note! If the brazier will also be used as a grill, then fix the racks for the latter as shown in the diagram.

Step 4. If you use the second half of the barrel as a lid, then scald it with a corner. For greater convenience during operation, attach a handle and a holder with fasteners to the lid. You can install it on one or both sides of the structure.

Step 5. Lay a grid on top of the half-barrel so that the structure can also be used as a barbecue. To fix the grid, screw special stands around the edges.

Step 6. Make holes in the walls of the lower half to improve traction.

Option number 2

Here the barrel does not need to be cut into two parts. Instead, cut a pre-marked rectangle out of it. At such a brazier, food that will be cooked on a flame will be reliably protected from the wind thanks to back wall. In the pictures you see the installation of a barbecue grill.

Note! If you resorted to this option, then no welding of the edges of the barrel is required - they will be cleaned and rounded without it.

Otherwise, the work is carried out in the same way as described above, but the hinges are attached to the lid and the upper part of the structure. The holder for the cover in this model is not required, because, leaning back, it rests against upper part corps.

It is also worth noting that this brazier can also be made a part-time smokehouse. For this purpose, attach a chimney to the side. As you know, at the top of all barrels there is a hole with a cork, which you can use just to fix the chimney. But this moment should be planned in advance, before starting to cut the barrel, since the hole described should be located exclusively in the upper part of the body.

If required, arrange shelves on both sides of the barbecue (as described earlier). For this purpose, weld iron brackets to the body, and fix the coating on them (it can be either made of wood or metal).

Note! Barbecues are also built from propane cylinders in a similar way. But remember that they are narrower, therefore, they will require shorter skewers.

If desired, any do-it-yourself barbecue made of metal from those described above can be equipped with wheels for more convenient transportation. Although these structures are mobile only on the territory of the site, since it is very inconvenient to transport them somewhere.

Cylinders and barrels are ideal for making barbecue. And this is due to the unlimited scope for imagination. Would you like to see this for yourself? Then be sure to watch the video below.

We use metal sheets

And if you use the brazier only on the site, without taking it outside, then it is more expedient not to complicate your life, but to resort to the simplest option for making a stationary model. You can only move it around the site, and install it on a hard surface.

Traditionally, first make a drawing. This is quite simple to do, since there are no particularly complex elements in the design. After purchasing everything you need, make blanks for future components, based on a previously drawn up diagram.

As an alternative, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the already prepared scheme and, based on it, draw up your own, adding the necessary elements there that will make operation easier and more convenient.

Step 1. For work, you will need the following:

  1. a sheet of metal a few millimeters thick;
  2. metal corner 1x1 cm for the manufacture of the frame and legs.

Note! If it is planned to install one or two shelves, then they will also require corners.

Step 2. Next, mark the future structural elements on the sheet of metal. If the metal is not too thick (about 2 millimeters), then simply bend it, thereby getting rid of the welding work to connect the body to the bottom. In this case, at the end of the preliminary marking, cut out 4 rectangles - the result will be a cross.

Step 3. The central part of the cross will serve as the bottom of the case, the other four will serve as machines. Bend these walls at an angle of 90 degrees relative to the bottom element.

Step 5. In the lower part of those sides of the box that are larger, make holes so that oxygen enters the coals. But in the upper part of these sides, make cutouts to make it convenient to put the skewers.

Step 5. After that, build a frame from the corners, where you later install the case with the base under the shelves.

Step 6. On top of the frame, you can install a mesh made of steel wire. Remember that it will be convenient to put dishes or a cutting board on such a grid.

Step 7. From the bottom, equip another grid (or a basket - as you like), in which firewood would be stored.

Note! If you want, you can make different patterns on the walls using the same wire.

Step 8 After that, clean all surfaces with a metal brush, then paint with heat-resistant paint - the latter will prevent not only the formation of corrosion, but also burning.

As soon as the paint dries, you can start testing your brainchild - a do-it-yourself brazier made of metal!

Portable (collapsible) brazier on their own

We note right away that such a collapsible option will be useful not only in the house, but even in the apartment. Due to its compactness, it does not take up much space, you can easily place it on a shelf in a closet or pantry. You can use it both for outdoor recreation and, say, in your yard. high-rise building(following all fire safety rules, of course).

Note! When planning further work, take into account the fact that when folded, the structure will look like a suitcase, which will contain everything that may be needed for frying meat.

For example, the standard length of skewers for a hike is 60 centimeters, therefore, the brazier itself can be only 65 centimeters long, and 45 centimeters wide (when unfolded).

The design that you see in the image is quite easy to make on your own. But for work you will need:

  1. steel sheet 3 mm thick;
  2. steel wire, which will be used to form the mesh, as an option - a ready-made mesh;
  3. corners 1x1 centimeter for strengthening the walls and making coasters;
  4. metal rod with a diameter of 0.8 centimeters for the handle;
  5. loops that will connect the halves of the body;
  6. folding legs.

Now, having prepared everything you need, proceed directly to work.

Manufacturing instructions

Step 1. First, make a drawing, which will indicate all the necessary dimensions. This will prevent possible revisions of the product in the future due to inaccuracies.

Step 2. After that, draw future elements on metal sheets, cut them out. These elements should include:

  1. a square measuring 40-x40 centimeters, which will subsequently be cut into two triangles - the latter are designed to rigidly hold the structure;
  2. two walls of the case - approximately 40x63 centimeters;
  3. pieces of a metal corner - four pieces of 63 centimeters, four of 40 centimeters - for coasters and framing.

Step 3. Then proceed to the construction of folding legs, using movable fasteners (such as furniture ones) for this. To do this, cut four strips of metal 10 cm wide, although you can use all the same corners. These strips can be 40-60 centimeters long, although it is worth remembering that the higher the support legs are, the less stable the structure will be.

Note! After preparing everything you need, assembly begins directly. This should be done especially carefully - in this case, your product will not differ in any way from the "shop".

Step 4. First, clean the back and front walls, then scald three sides of each wall with a steel corner.

Step 5. Mark out where the mesh will be laid in the structure, attach stands from the corners in the appropriate places.

Step 7. Attach the support legs to the sides of the product so that they can be moved apart and folded without much difficulty. To easily install the side walls, the brazier in the open position should have an angle of 45 degrees.

Step 8. From above, in the side panels, weld 2 holes for installing handles (curved metal rods). If you want, you can also put a special hook that will prevent the assembled structure from opening.

At the end, assemble the brazier with your own hands from metal, lay the grid and try to make the first barbecue.

Note! To make the design truly multifunctional, you can make a barbecue attachment.

To this end, cut and weld five structural elements. These are special side nozzles, curved at the bottom at a 45-degree angle (you can install them if necessary instead of triangles on the sides). You will also need a grill for installation on top and a pair of frontal paintings of great length. By the way, with one more interesting option production you can see from the video below.

Protecting from rust

Any structure made of metal always needs protection against corrosion. Only in this case it will be possible to operate it longer, and external indicators will not deteriorate over time. You can, for example, paint a homemade brazier with paint. But remember that you can only use heat-resistant paint, which can be purchased at any automotive store in the form of an aerosol can (it is used to paint vehicle mufflers).

You can also resort to alternative- that is, a change in the structure of the metal. There is such a process (burning), during which the surface of the metal is covered with a heat-resistant black film. To burn the brazier yourself, first clean it of dirt and grease, then place the product in a solution of caustic soda (500 grams per ten liters of water) and keep it there for one and a half to two hours at a temperature of 140 C.

As a conclusion

As you can see, the manufacture of a brazier is not a super complicated procedure - if there is necessary equipment and minimal experience with it, you can handle it in about a day or two, but at the same time save a significant amount! And if you approach the work responsibly, do it with high quality, then your offspring will practically not differ in any way from their “store” counterparts.

Actually, that's all. Good luck with your work!

For suburban areas and country houses the brazier has long been an almost indispensable element. There is nothing better rest from the works of the righteous to fresh air, under a barbecue in a pleasant company. But only the right barbecue guarantees a good barbecue and other dishes on the coals. Let's figure out together with FORUMHOUSE users how to choose the perfect brazier.

The market today offers a huge number of devices for street picnics - from portable collapsible to solid forged and stationary barbecue complexes. Such products cost solid money, but it is not a fact that they will please the owners with ease of use and a long service life. A good device for cooking barbecue according to your needs is not difficult to make on your own, many members of the forum are convinced. The main thing is to keep a few important rules, dimensions and parameters, such as the height of the brazier, the width of the walls, the distance between the skewers, etc.

Brazier, correct depth.

The brazier is the right size.

The "correct" installation should be ergonomic, that is, convenient and safe to maintain, consume a minimum of fuel and not require any "waving" plywood and other unnecessary manipulations.

Choosing a brazier is not an easy task, we must take into account the material, dimensions, design. The thin steel from which the so-called "camping" collapsible devices are made is perhaps the worst material. The structures made of it are flimsy and unstable, they do not hold heat well. You will have to constantly swing a “fan” over such an aggregate, fanning the coals - from this, the kebab on skewers is charred from below, and burns from above. You can get used to it, but by this time the brazier itself may burn out: thin sheet steel simply cannot withstand regular use. Therefore, if you really had to use the "camping" option on occasion, it is better to cook the coals separately in a kindled fire, and then pour them into the furnace.

Collapsible designs attract many summer residents with the opportunity to remove the device for safety at the end of the season. In this case, you need to choose a simple and reliable system assembly-disassembly, without loops and clips for skewers that quickly fail.
Ideal brazier: steel thickness 3-5 mm.

A competent metal unit for giving, according to experienced FORUMHOUSE users, should have a wall thickness of at least three to five millimeters.

Welded44:

Everything perfect is simple. The thickness of the steel for the brazier is 3-4 mm, the length of the walls is 600 mm, the width is 350 mm, the height of the brazier wall is 150 mm, no sliding shelves for ash. Turn over the steel on top, along the entire length with a profile 20 * 20, removable legs - from a profile 30 * 30. This is a base on which it is easy to put a roof, a firewood shed, racks for a skewer, side shelves.

The optimal distance between the skewers on the grill

It is better to make recesses for skewers in the form of vertical slots so that the skewer can be rotated 90 degrees, the forum member advises Kuznecs. The distance between the skewers on the grill is 70 mm. It is desirable to paint the device itself with heat-resistant paint for a better appearance and protection against corrosion.

Many are worried about the slots for the barbecue, at what distance from the coals they should be. In this case, the dimensions do not matter: the holes in the side walls, which are often found in purchased devices, are considered by many members of the forum to be meaningless and even harmful. Because of them, the meat on skewers is fried unevenly, and an additional flow of air from below will provoke the appearance of a flame. In a furnace of optimal depth without slots, the coals will smolder evenly and for a long time due to the air flow from above. Alternatively, to speed up the ignition of coal from below, sometimes a blower is provided, closed by dampers. At the time of frying, the dampers are tightly closed - the finished coal is not blown by the wind and burns evenly.

What should be the optimal height of the walls of the barbecue

The height of the brazier wall is the value that raises the most questions. Most users agree that the height of the barbecue grill should be quite large: an effective minimum that allows you to cook a good barbecue and save fuel is 13-14 centimeters. This is optimal dimensions, and it is recommended to choose them. With a wall height of 18-20 centimeters, you will need too much coal, otherwise the kebab will turn out to be “dried”.

summer resident I,
Moscow:

- The ideal or close to it distance from coals to meat on skewers is 11-13 cm. That is, the net height of the firebox is 15 cm. Towards the bottom, the sides will taper correctly, and upwards - expand: the consumption of firewood or coals is less, and for cooking heat enough.

User Alex286 I made a height-adjustable bottom for my device: initially - 14 centimeters, but you can raise it by reducing the depth of the firebox to 8 centimeters. The height of the brazier for barbecue should be universal, because such versatility allows you to successfully cook various products on charcoal: not only meat, but also fish, vegetables, etc.

Alex286:

- 2 mm plates are welded to the bottom on both sides, and handles from a 10 mm square are welded to them. In the lower position, the handles lie on the sides of the brazier. Hooks are welded in the middle of the plates. If you need to increase the cooking temperature by reducing the depth of the firebox, raise the bottom by the handles up and hook the sides of the brazier with these hooks.

Optimal Height barbecue grill.

To get a delicious barbecue, it is not enough to choose just a box with metal sides. The real owner strives to make it not only reliable, but also as convenient and multifunctional as possible. forum member Vkokorin for a long time I was looking for one among purchased products, but in the end I could not find anything of my choice and made a transformer of my own design - with folding grilles, covers and shelves. The tests passed on a solid "five"!

Brazier. Distance between skewers

Transformer Advantages:

* Folding bars. When they are above the firebox, it is convenient to cook on them: put a cast-iron frying pan, a pot, etc. In the folded state, the grates become comfortable tables on the sides of the barbecue.

* Removable cast iron grate under.

* Removable covers have multiple uses. From above - so that water does not get into the furnace, because there are no holes in it, and there is nowhere for water to drain. Bottom - like a shelf. And if you put them on the folded bars, you get two tables.

Vkokorin:

- Hinges for gratings - pipe sections with a diameter slightly larger than the fittings. They are first welded to the finished grating, then a piece of reinforcement is threaded into them and welded to the barbecue. The depth of the furnace is sufficient for cooking in a cauldron placed on the grate from above.

Many owners, however, believe that a metal device of even the most successful design is still inferior in reliability, durability and convenience to a stationary unit. Portable barbecues are indispensable for outdoor trips, but they tend to rust, lose shape, which affects its useful qualities. Another thing is a solid brick structure.

Brazier. Board height.

stone oven

A brick brazier or a stone oven on the site is ideal for preparing a variety of dishes, and is small architectural form, which can perfectly decorate the landscape. But the cost of manufacturing such a capital hearth will be more significant.

But it’s easy and inexpensive to build a brazier made of fireclay bricks of a simple design, but it will last a long time and will consume fuel much more economically than steel. And it is not even necessary to lay bricks on the mortar.

Such a unit, with careful use, will last fifteen years, the forum member claims. JimDaddy .

JimDaddy:

- The bottom is a flat brick. Walls, first row - brick flat, second row - brick on edge. It turns out a height of 18 cm, which is close to ideal. Gradually, the side of the brick, looking at the fire, will crumble, such bricks can be moved to the bottom, and whole ones from the bottom to the walls. Such bulkheads will be no more than once every three years. Cover the firebox with a sheet of iron, press the sheet with a brick.

forum member queser invented and brought to life the design of a collapsible mobile "Lego-barbecue" made of bricks. As the author assures, his unit "scales" in size, which can be selected depending on the company's appetite, free space, budget, etc., it is easy to assemble and disassemble, saves firewood.

As can be seen from the diagram, on which all sizes are indicated, the design is simple, like everything ingenious. According to its creator, the "constructor" easily fits in the trunk of a car, does not require careful handling (it will easily survive a dozen winters in the open), any damaged element is easy to replace. And if you build a heat-capacitive lid for the “Lego-barbecue”, then the possibilities of cooking become comparable to a Russian stove or tandoor.

If you add a little imagination to skillful hands, material, the right size and tools, your unit will become a real decoration of the site. Here is a work of art created by forum member VZenev. You can’t deny its dragon its functionality: it’s both a brazier, a grill, and a smokehouse at the same time.

What is a suburban area or cottage without a metal barbecue. It is in great demand during relaxation and cooking hot meals. The design of forged braziers and barbecues allows you to quickly cook food on charcoal, which is distinguished by its exquisite taste. At the same time, the structure is simple, and a beginner can cope with manufacturing.

Features of barbecues

Purchasing a finished product in a store is enough expensive pleasure However, it does not always live up to expectations. A metal brazier made with your own hands according to drawings and photos with step-by-step instructions can serve you for a long time, as it is designed specifically for your needs.

Certainly, the best option for a suburban area there would be a brick oven, but it is quite bulky and takes up a lot of space. it is used, as a rule, seasonally, so it can lie for a long time unnecessarily. You can place it anywhere: in the gazebo or in the open air.

Metal frying and smoking appliances can not be placed in all places, there are safety requirements and recommendations for more quality use. Professionals recommend:

What are the braziers in their appearance:

How to choose the size

The dimensions of a metal device are very important for a novice master. It is important to take into account the number of people in a company or family to calculate the number of barbecues and the size of the structure itself. Recommendations for standard sizes:

Welding a homemade brazier

With help welding machine you can create a solid and reliable design that is resistant to sudden changes in temperature and can serve you for a long time. At the end of the welding process, all seams between parts are carefully checked and ground.

What materials can you make a home brazier from:

  • Steel barrel.
  • Cuts of a wide metal pipe.
  • Empty balloon.
  • Tank from a washing machine.
  • Massive sewing machine.
  • Wrought iron countertops or metal shelves.

Non-separable design

To make a stationary brazier, we need:

  1. Durable metal sheet (made of steel).
  2. Welding plant.
  3. Powerful drill.
  4. Corners for racks or pieces of reinforcement.
  5. A well-functioning grinder.

Before you start assembling the structure, you need to draw up a drawing with dimensions and the distance between the parts. For example, between the holes for ventilation in the lower part of the case should be from 7 to 8 centimeters. The photo shows the use of an additional stand.

We determine the number of skewers, we will have no more than 8 of them in one tab. Procedure:

With the help of a video master class, you can make an excellent barbecue for evening gatherings with friends.

Folding suitcase

A do-it-yourself folding brazier made of metal can be made according to the drawings with a photo. You will get an easy-to-use installation-diplomat, it is transportable and mobile. The design folds inward, thereby hiding all dirty surfaces and details. In such a suitcase, you can place skewers and transfer to any place, just holding on to the handle.

How to make:

Barbecue barrel

We need a barrel with thick walls and a good blueprint. There are 2 methods of cutting a barrel: only the top part is cut off (creating a lid) or the barrel is cut exactly in half (the most common). We'll look at both.

1 way

Consider the process of assembling a brazier with your own hands from metal with a barrel roof:

2 way

Production takes place in the same way as in the first case. The only difference will be cutting the barrel into two equal parts. The second part can be left and used as a cover.
Then it should be scalded, a handle and holder fasteners should be mounted in it. Step-by-step instruction in the video tutorial.

Home brazier must be carefully looked after in order to increase its service life. Remove dirt with soft cloths, lubricate the unit from time to time with special oil. And also do not forget about finishing painting and decor, because the brazier should be not only functional, but also beautiful.

Camping with kebabs is a popular form of recreation. Big noisy company, delicious food and fresh air: what could be better?! To ensure yourself an unforgettable weekend outside the city, you should do it in advance do-it-yourself barbecue or buy it. The first option is suitable for those who have free time and a desire to save some money.

Modern range

There are 3 types with different working principle, sizes and designs:

  • mobile. These braziers are easy to fold and transport when traveling. It is used in country house and on long journeys. The brazier is mobile, easy and inexpensive. It fits in a small suitcase, and its weight allows you to transport the structure even on a bicycle and in your hands. But it has a low level of heat capacity and leads to burning of products, the service life is up to 6 months;
  • portable. A popular and sought-after model for comfortable outdoor recreation. Its advantages are reliability, durability, ease of use. Not aesthetically pleasing appearance and cheap, but will last 2-3 years;
  • stationary. The best model for giving. Production material: cast iron, brick. The design is reliable, there is a chimney, but it is expensive and large in size. Valued for a high level of heat capacity, versatility, uniform heating.

You can find more than modern models- electric grills. Here, the automatic rotation of the skewers is set, and the meat is roasted using heat from electric spirals. But in our country it is not popular.

The choice is wide and varied, but the prices are sometimes too high. Therefore, creating a brazier with your own hands will be the right and economical solution for an unforgettable outdoor recreation.

Calculation of the size of the barbecue

For optimal use of the brazier, you will need to buy materials, familiarize yourself with the technology for creating a structure and accurately calculate the dimensions. To begin with, determine the number of skewers that are usually used during the holidays. For laying 4-5 skewers, a design of 30x60 cm in size is enough. It is no longer worth making a width, because this will reduce heat transfer. The depth of such a barbecue should be 15-20 cm. This is necessary to prevent burning meat and vegetables on skewers.

Factors affecting the quality of the design:

  • sizes that correspond to the length and number of skewers;
  • distance to coals - up to 100 mm;
  • maximum wall thickness for even heat distribution and preventing food from burning.

Homemade design for a cottage made of bricks

Summer residents often make brick bases for braziers. They are durable and reliable, will last 10-20 years. It is important to know the features of the creation process and use quality materials. Start by creating a barbecue project, choosing a place and materials, determining their quantity and size of the structure.

After preparatory phase and procurement of materials should begin construction. First, make a foundation by tearing out a trench of the desired size. The depth of the foundation is up to 50 cm. Use sand for backfilling, the next layer is reinforcing mesh and concrete. After the solution has completely solidified, work should continue on the construction of a stationary barbecue.

The type of roof construction depends on your wishes and budget. First, bricklaying is done dry. Thanks to this, you will continue to use the blocks and their halves without prior crushing.

Advice! Brick is a water-absorbing material. Therefore, before starting work, it should be moistened with water. This will prevent unpleasant consequences in the future and ensure the reliability of the structure. For masonry, use the prepared barbecue sketch.

The preparation of the solution consists of the following steps:

  • mix cement, slaked lime, sand in a ratio of 1:1:3;
  • add water;
  • the finished solution has a thick consistency.

From the second row, bricks should be laid with a slight deviation of 1/2 brick. Such a checkerboard pattern will provide the maximum level of strength and durability of the structure. Beginning of work - corners, with gradual filling of areas of partitions. You yourself determine the width, height, number of additional compartments for firewood and other necessary items.

Bookmark the brazier with high quality. Place metal corners on a brick base. For the oven, use high quality durable metal. For effective work braziers should make 5-10 small holes in it. Also make a place to lay the skewers using bricks.

Your brazier can already be used. But it is advisable to improve it before that by adding additional compartments for the necessary things, firewood, skewers. Add aesthetics to its appearance with a canopy, painting.

Arbor with brick barbecue

This gazebo will be a decoration country house and country cottage. To create it, you will need to decide on the materials and type of construction. Use metal, brick and wood to build, creating original solutions. First of all, think over the roof plan, using wood and metal for the frame. Polycarbonate and tiles are suitable as a coating. Sometimes you can see the use of reeds, straw and wood shingles for this purpose.

Beginner should choose simple design which does not require special knowledge and skills. Create a project and develop a change plan. The easiest way is to make a design from metal pipes and corrugated roofs. Construction work will be quick and easy. The presence of a fence is determined by your preferences and budget.

Aesthetically and naturally looks gazebo made of wood with a roof in the form of a tent. It is important to properly frame this structure by raising the base above the ground. Consider a drainage layer of crushed stone and river pebbles to prevent damage to the created structure, rotting and damage to the wood used.

Interesting to know! Choose materials for the gazebo in accordance with the type of structures and structures on the site. Such a harmonious combination will be aesthetic, there are no sharp contrasts of colors and textures.

Forging, wooden elements, comfortable furniture in the color of the materials used - to create beautiful gazebo and comfortable place to stay. Rounded timber, limestone, natural wood are also suitable.

Brazier from a barrel or metal sheets

For creating homemade design masters use various materials: metal, brick, barrels. The traditional shape of the brazier remains rectangular. But a barrel can also produce a great result. Use old metal barrels for this and gas cylinders, abandoning containers from under lubricants.

Before starting work, prepare a container, a welding unit, a grinder, metal corners. Having made an exact markup, cut off the top. Save it for making the lid, using the corners as legs. Build supports for skewers from the corners.

The second option is a construction made of sheets of metal, corners, rods. This non-separable design is made using a grinder, welding and a drill and will last you 2-5 seasons. To simplify the work, prepare a drawing and determine the dimensions, taking into account the number and length of skewers. Select the appropriate leg length by marking each value on the plan.

Make special holes in the walls of the container for ventilation and prepare supports for skewers. The distance between the holes is up to 10 cm. The thickness of the walls and bottom is 2-5 mm, giving preference to the maximum thickness of the metal. For cutting, use the grinder and hacksaw prepared earlier.

Advice! To create a stable structure, sharpen one of the ends of the made legs and stick it into the ground. So you will achieve the reliability of the barbecue and prevent unpleasant situations in the future.

Corners can be made collapsible using prepared holes in the walls and nuts. It is important to check the fastening of the walls to each other so that the structure is durable and safe for you and your guests.

Means of protecting metal from corrosion

The metal will last for a long time if you cover it with special protective equipment. Buy paint with heat-resistant properties or heat-resistant film. To achieve the bluing effect:

  • degrease the surface;
  • prepare a sodium solution in a ratio of 1:20 with water;
  • soak the prepared elements for 1-2 hours.

The optimum metal processing temperature is 140 degrees. For painting, use a special harmless paint that does not emit harmful substances at the time of heating. This is a silicon-based enamel that can withstand temperatures up to 600 degrees, as well as thermal-type paints. Carrying out oxidation is an excellent solution for obtaining a surface resistant to high temperatures. For processing, a prepared solution of sulfuric acid is used.

For many of us, cozy gatherings in nature are associated with a fire and a fragrant barbecue. The process of cooking meat on hot coals creates a spiritual, but at the same time solemn atmosphere. A high-quality brazier facilitates the process of preparing a delicious dish.

For the manufacture of this structure, several types of material are used. Basically it is: brick or metal. How to make a barbecue with your own hands? You will find the answer to this question in our article. Here are detailed diagrams and drawings of improvised structures.

Model project

Before you start making a brazier, you need to decide what material this product will be made of. Experienced craftsmen offer to make an additional system of protection against climatic conditions.

A cozy gazebo with a barbecue in the countryside adds a piece of warmth and comfort in the process of friendly gatherings. Here you can also hide from rain, wind and the scorching sun. A partially open veranda or terrace is ideal for solving this problem.

More experienced craftsmen prefer complex barbecue instructions. Here, in addition to barbecue, you can bake bread, cook food and much more. The standard parameters of such structures are:

  • height 1.5m;
  • width 1.6 m;
  • the depth of the furnace is from 0.6 to 0.8 m.

Before proceeding with the construction of such a structure, it is necessary to first make strip foundation. There may be additional niches and a spacious storage system.

Making a brick brazier with your own hands is quite simple. The first step is to draw up a detailed project. Next, we proceed to the arrangement of the zero base. The size of the foundation must correspond to the dimensions of the structure.

If the fire zone will be located on the street, then it is not recommended to make complex structures here. The optimal solution there will be parameters of 0.5 x 0.8 m. Here you can place from 5 to 10 skewers with meat.

There are hundreds of drawings of barbecues on the Internet, each of which has its own characteristics. characteristic features and appearance. Designs differ in sweat material type and dimensions.

Metal barbecue

Particularly popular are products made of iron. They are distinguished by their durability and aesthetic appearance.

As a rule, they represent a complex two-tiered composition. Hot coals are located in the upper part, and an ash cleaning system is located in the lower part.

More simple option is a brazier from a cylinder. Ready product is roomy and spacious. In addition to barbecue, here you can cook vegetables and a lot of all kinds of food. On one side of the cylinder, thin rods are welded using an electric welding machine. In the future, they will act as a grill.

For the construction of a metal barbecue, we need the following materials and equipment:

  • Bulgarian;
  • thin metal rods;
  • semi-automatic welding;
  • electrodes;
  • metal supports;
  • powder paint;
  • sprayer for pigment formulations.

The process of manufacturing an iron brazier is divided into several stages:

  • On the surface of the barrel or cylinder, we mark the future hole.
  • Next, along the contour, we begin to cut out the upper part of the metal base. On the sides we make shallow notches. Here, in the future, skewers with meat will be located.
  • To make a cover on the cut off part, we fasten the hinges. Next, we fix the other end of the mechanism on the side of the barbecue. This will help to freely open and close the structure at the time of operation.
  • At the bottom, we begin to mount the support legs. The height of the base is from 0.5 to 1 m.
  • When the product is almost assembled, you can proceed to the manufacture of the grill. To do this, we weld thin metal rods to one of the side parts of the cylinder.
  • We make a handle on the lid. The thicker the metal, the less it heats up.
  • The finished product is covered with black powder paint. During operation, it does not fade and does not emit harmful toxic compounds. The photo of the brazier captures the entire sequence of the workflow.
