Block house interior finishing technology

Installation of building material indoors is carried out along the crate, for the arrangement there is no need to pre-prepare surfaces and level the walls. The crate consists of a compiled set of planed wooden bars or slats, they are attached to the wall with a calculated step. To create a structure, you need a bar 5x5 cm or a rail up to 7 cm wide. Cut-to-size bars are installed at a distance of 50-70 cm by level or plumb.

Installation of the crate and laying insulation

During assembly, the board must be placed with the spike up - this will allow to avoid the accumulation of condensate during operation. To avoid surface deformations, the panels should not be installed close to each other.

Attaching the block house panels to the crate is carried out using clamps, self-tapping screws or nails. The mounting method primarily depends on the size of the wooden board. Nails can be used to install thin boards, and thicker finishing material is mounted using self-tapping screws.

Fastening the block house to the spike with a screw Special staples (clamps)

You can start decorating the walls not only from below, but also from above. From the edges of the skin, you need to leave a small gap for better air circulation under the surface to be decorated.

During installation wooden board inserted with a protruding spike directly into the groove. It is especially important that the spike of the first and subsequent boards is located towards a natural light source. In this case, you can successfully hide the resulting joint. After joining, the panels are fastened with screws or nails to the crate.

To increase the service life of the surface to be decorated, the panels must be treated with a special compound. The finish is primed and then topcoated with a colorless paint or wax-based lacquer. After drying, the surface is sanded and covered with another layer of varnish.

Interior design options using a block house.

The issue of finishing the house is no less important than the construction of its supporting frame. Ultimately, improperly made finishing can harm not only the appearance of housing, but also cause damage to the supporting structures. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly observe the technology and sequence of work.

At present, in the wake of the “return to nature”, such a type of home decoration as blockhouse sheathing, which is planks rounded on one side and flat on the other, is in great demand.

To finish the facade, they often use not wood, but a vinyl or steel blockhouse that imitates a wooden surface. For interior work, only natural materials are used.

Blockhouse classes and dimensions

When buying a wooden blockhouse, you must definitely pay attention to its quality.

On this basis, all panels are divided into 4 classes:

  • class "Extra" - products without a single defect or knot;
  • class "A";
  • class "B";
  • class "C".

All panels are produced on the same equipment, and quality sorting is carried out after production. Chips, dents, cracks, black (falling out) knots are considered defects. A class "C" product may have several defects per linear meter. Extra products are very expensive and are used mainly for finishing elite facades and interiors. The most popular materials are class "A" and "B" slats.

As for the dimensions, the width and thickness of the panels are regulated quite strictly, and there are no special requirements for the length. Therefore, each consumer can choose a blockhouse of such a length that, in terms of waste, is most beneficial when finishing his particular house. The width of the panels can be 140, 170,190, 195 mm, and the thickness is 20, 27, 28, 36, 40 mm.

Products from different manufacturers may deviate from the standard dimensions, so when sheathing it is better to use planks from the same manufacturer, which will fit perfectly with each other.

For interior decoration, narrow panels are usually used, while wide ones look better on the facade.

The cost of the material is greatly influenced by the type of wood from which it is made. Larch and cedar are quite expensive, while spruce and pine are much cheaper. On sale there is also a material made of hardwood, which is used for the interior lining of saunas and baths. Coniferous material is good for exterior and interior decoration of a residential building, as it is resistant to moisture and improves the microclimate of housing due to the high content of resinous substances in it.

Sheathing the interior of the house

In order for the result of the skin to please the eye, you need to immediately solve the following questions:

  • How will the planks be placed on the walls - vertically or horizontally. If the ceiling height is low, then it makes sense to direct the sheathing vertically - then the rooms will appear higher.
  • It is necessary to determine whether the walls are even and whether the diagonals of the room are sustained. If the walls are even, and the dimensions of the room are strictly maintained, then the blockhouse can be mounted directly on the walls, without a frame. If the walls are uneven and the corners of the room deviate from 90 degrees, then you will have to align all the parameters of the room using wooden frame, otherwise the result of the work is unlikely to please.
  • It is necessary to immediately mark all the exit points of switches, sockets, junction boxes. This is done so that you can make neat cutouts in it even before mounting the rail on the wall.
  • Before the start of work, the blockhouse must lie indoors for at least 2 days. This is necessary so that its temperature and humidity are aligned in accordance with the microclimate of the house. This reduces the likelihood of warping of the planks after fastening and the appearance of unnecessary cracks on them.

  • It is better to immediately purchase all the necessary elements for the complete decoration of the room: plinth, external and internal corners - they will be needed to join the planks in the corners.
  • The tree absorbs water well and is prone to decay, so it’s better to immediately buy material treated with an antipyretic and an antiseptic (now there are two-in-one compositions). Otherwise, the processing will have to be done independently, after which it will take time to dry the material.
  • It is also advisable to immediately decide what fasteners will be used: nails, self-tapping screws, kleimers. Of these, the greatest preference is given to self-tapping screws and kleimers, and nails are an option for the lazy.

To cover the walls with a blockhouse, you will need the following tools and fixtures:

  • building level;
  • circular saw or hacksaw;
  • drill with drills;
  • screwdriver;
  • rubber mallet (used to fit the top board onto the bottom spike).

The installation technology itself is simple:

  • If there is a need to install a frame, then the first thing to do is expose it. Used for the frame wooden blocks 30-40 mm thick.
  • If the blockhouse is located horizontally, then the wall sheathing starts from the bottom. The first board must be leveled, then in the course of work, the horizontalness of the planks is checked every 3-4 rows. If the strips are installed vertically, then you can start work from any corner of the room.
  • The board is positioned with the groove down and the screw is screwed into the spike at an angle of about 30 degrees. The second fastener is screwed closer to the groove. It is advisable to pre-drill holes for self-tapping screws in the slats - this will avoid splitting them.
  • The next board is put on the spike of the previous one with a groove and fastened in the same way.
  • At the end of the work, the visible nests where the screws are located are varnished or special decorative plugs are inserted into them.

Some time after the work is done, the blockhouse is polished (if necessary) and varnished, which will protect the material from moisture, dirt and greasy fumes, if it is a kitchen.

Blockhouse cladding can be made along walls of any material. It is only important that the wall is dry before starting work. Preparation for cladding consists in cleaning the facade of dirt, old plaster, and mold.

For the sheathing device, here without options, you will have to install a frame, especially if the house needs insulation.

The order of work is as follows:

  • First, a vapor barrier layer is installed. It is needed in order to protect the insulation from moisture contained in the wall material.
  • Then a frame made of wooden bars is installed, designed to level the surfaces of the walls and install the insulation. In this case, the thickness of the frame bars must correspond to the thickness of the plates or rolls of insulation.
  • Insulation (usually mineral wool boards) is fixed between the racks of the frame with glue or dowel umbrellas. It should fit snugly against the wall surface.
  • Then a special film is attached with a construction stapler - a wind barrier that will protect the insulation from the effects of air currents.
  • Through the film, a counter-lattice is attached to the frame - slats 20 mm thick, which serve to create free space between the wind barrier and the blockhouse, which is necessary for facade ventilation. At the bottom and top of the wall, you need to leave small vents for air circulation.
  • Next, the first cladding board is installed with the groove down. For the front part, this is especially important - so the water will roll down without lingering in the grooves of the wooden cladding. The fastening of the boards is carried out in the same way as when sheathing the internal walls. To work on the facade, it is better to use galvanized self-tapping screws that do not rust and cannot subsequently decorate the wall with red streaks.
  • The next board is put on with a groove on the spike and fastened in the same way.
  • To give the facade an external appeal, the joints between the planks are closed with decorative strips or special connecting elements.

Advantages and disadvantages of finishing the house with a wooden blockhouse

Although the facade of the house can be sheathed with vinyl or steel blockhouse, which are more durable than wood, natural sheathing still has its advantages.

The advantages include:

  • The wooden blockhouse is strong enough, and thanks to impregnations, it is also resistant to environmental influences.
  • Damaged trim elements can be sanded, puttied and coated with stain or varnish so that the defect is not noticeable.
  • Thin panels are lightweight and do not load the foundation too much.
  • The material is environmentally friendly.
  • Having a low thermal conductivity, wood paneling serves as additional insulation for the house.

The disadvantages include:

  • Quite high cost of wooden planks.
  • Fire hazard, although with appropriate impregnation it is significantly reduced.
  • The need for periodic treatment of panels with varnish, which increases the moisture resistance of the material.

For adherents of ecology and just a rustic style, interior wall decoration with a wooden blockhouse is just perfect, and the high cost of the material here is fully justified by it. positive qualities. If we talk about finishing the facade, then it is necessary to proceed from the size of the budget. If it's limited, then it's probably better to go with woodgrain vinyl siding than to buy a cheap, low-quality wood blockhouse that quickly loses both look and functionality.

Blockhouse interior and exterior decoration

More and more owners country houses choose a block house for interior decoration of residential premises.

Initially, a block house was used to decorate and insulate buildings from the outside, but it turned out to be so aesthetic that interior designers very quickly learned to use it to decorate interior spaces in various styles, especially country music.

Advantages and disadvantages

The block house is a good old lining, but somewhat modernized. If the lining imitates boards, then the block house is logs.

The walls, finished with a block house, look like a wooden frame. This gives the room a unique flavor.

The room, decorated with wooden blocks, is full of natural scents.

It can be the smell of a pine, deciduous, fir forest or oak grove - depending on the wood of which tree the interior decoration of the room is made.

The tree releases natural antiseptics into the air. This has a positive effect on the microclimate of the room, making it healthier.

The wood of coniferous trees releases special compounds into the air - phytoncides, which kill many microbes.

For this reason, pine and larch are used not only for interior decoration. country house, but also sheathe them with saunas and steam rooms.

Block house does not need additional finishing. This is a completely finished material that does not need to be puttied, painted, primed, etc. As an option for interior decoration, the block house looks aesthetically pleasing and even exotic.

With the return of fashion to the old days, log-like blocks have become very popular.

They are used for interior and exterior cladding of manor-type houses, dachas and cottages, country holiday homes, hotels and restaurants. They are useful wherever you want to create an interior in a folk or rustic style.

Made of wood block house, like any natural material, refers to environmentally friendly types of interior decoration. It does not emit harmful fumes and does not accumulate static electricity.

Coniferous wood has good strength and moisture resistance, hardwood has beautiful patterns on the surface and hardness.

Resin-impregnated coniferous wood is resistant to decay, so pine or larch block houses can be safely finished in rooms with a humid atmosphere.

Block house interior for a long time does not lose its novelty. Wood does not fade, is resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage, and if shallow scratches appear on it, then they can simply be sanded.

Installation of a block house does not require special knowledge - everything in this finishing material is thought out so that each person can assemble a surface of the desired size without much effort and skills.

Parts are connected to each other without fasteners, according to the tenon-groove principle. Blocks are easily sawn with a regular hacksaw, so it is not difficult to reduce their size to the desired size.

The interior decoration of the block house has drawbacks - this material has low vapor permeability, so condensation can accumulate on the walls under the blocks.

A good internal ventilation system at home will help get rid of this problem.

Like any wood, block house has a high flammability. Therefore, the wiring in the house, the walls of which are finished with wooden blocks, must be in perfect condition.

Application in the interior

The front surface of the block house imitates a cylindrical bar. This feature allows you to use it for interior decoration of residential premises - houses and apartments, if you need to get an original, unlike any other interior.

The small thickness of the blocks does not "steal" the useful area of the house. For spacious rooms, a block house with a width of 120 millimeters is produced - such dimensions make it possible to imitate the structure of a real log house inside the house.

There are two ways to decorate the interior with a block house:

  • use for solid interior decoration;
  • use for fragmentary interior decoration.

The latter method allows you to get an interesting effect, especially if you decorate the wall of the bedroom with “logs”, to which the head of the bed is moved.

The remaining walls are made smooth: plasterboard or plastered. This technique allows you to avoid monotony and introduce natural motifs into the interior.

A block house can be combined with a lining - this not only allows you to create interiors that are interesting in terms of design, but also reduces the cost of interior decoration, because lining is cheaper than “logs”.

The combination in the interior of surfaces covered with a block house, plastered decorative plaster and lined natural stone, allows you to forget about cosmetic repairs at home for a long time.

All these materials will last for decades without deteriorating decorative qualities.

Using a block house, you can give country house view of a boyar estate from the time of Ivan the Terrible, a hunting lodge, a fairy tale hut, a peasant or merchant's house.

It is not necessary to hit the old days or rural motifs. Think a little, and you will definitely have ideas on how to fit log surfaces into the interior in a modern style.

The interior decoration of the block house, painted with light paint, will help to create a shabby chic style. For country, rustic and ethnic interiors use wood of any shades.

Block house is an extremely expressive material, but at the same time it is versatile, as it is combined with any other finish, including glass, metal and stone.

The photo shows successful combinations wooden blocks with other finishes, wrought iron, glass and stone accessories.

The block house is best used not only inside, but also outside the house. This design allows you to achieve stylistic unity. A complete decoration for a log cabin of a country house is perceived much more organically than just the interior or just exterior finish.

Types of block house

The material is made mainly from wood, but metal and vinyl can be used. Metal and vinyl blocks are used only for exterior decoration.

They can decorate the walls of the house, fences, gazebos. They are better than wood, tolerate climatic influences and are cheaper.

The front side of the block house can be semicircular with varying degrees of convexity or flat - then it is called an imitation of a bar.

For the production of a block house, wood is used. Most often these are conifers: pine, spruce, fir, larch. Of the hardwoods, linden, alder and aspen are suitable for making a block house. Premium class block house is made from trees valuable breeds: oak, cedar.

A block house is a solid, not glued, wood material, so its dimensions depend on the diameter and length of the log from which the blocks were made.

For interior decoration, blocks 3 and 6 meters long are convenient. Their dimensions allow you to design walls in large and small rooms with a minimum amount of waste.

The table shows the most popular block sizes.

By quality, the blocks are divided into several classes. The material of different classes is very different in price:

  • class C - economy, blocks may have small chips, holes from knots, uneven coloring;
  • classes B and A - standard version, blocks without chips, cracks, holes, smooth, without visible color defects;
  • premium class - block house of the highest quality, without visible and hidden defects.

On sale sometimes there are intermediate options AB and BC.

What kind of block house do you prefer? The choice depends entirely on financial capabilities.

If you need to save money, you can buy economy class material and improve it yourself appearance: grind burrs, putty holes and cracks, varnish the surface.

You'll have to tinker, but the cost of class C material is sometimes half the standard, and its performance properties are no worse.

After the installation is completed, it is desirable to protect the casing from dust and dirt. To do this, use primers, varnishes, stains.

The most elegant wood looks, varnished or waxed. Subsequently, it will be enough to wipe the treated surfaces from dust with a damp foam rubber or clean with a vacuum cleaner. When caring for such a finish, abrasives and aggressive SMS should not be used.

You can paint the material or give it the desired shade with the help of stains. They significantly increase the life of the material.

Stain allows you to emphasize the texture of wood, enhance shine and give the right tone, but it has to be updated every few years.

Despite the vintage appearance, block house decoration refers to modern ways interior design. Blocks allow you to decorate the room in different ways.

With their help, you can quickly change the style of home decoration, without resorting to the help of specialists.

The English word "blockhouse" means a house built from individual elements, a block structure building. Such buildings belong to the category of quick assembly objects. However, in the Russian language this concept has been transformed and is applied only to the finishing material that is used for sheathing surfaces.

In fact, this is ordinary wood (usually softwood), treated accordingly. It is called and spelled differently (blockhouse, block house, block house), but this is not for everyone. It's about about the same material. Moreover, for some reason, this name is used only for those blanks in which one side is somewhat convex, imitating a log. There are products and "under the beam", which have only flat surfaces. All the difference in production technology is indicated at the stage when the log is "trimmed".

The interior decoration of the house with a block house is very convenient. When compared with lining, the difference seems to be small. On the sides there are the same "thorn" and "groove" for articulation of workpieces, one surface is perfectly flat. It has already been said about the other side - either flat or convex (half-cylinder). And yet, many masters prefer this particular “board”. Why?

  1. About material
  2. Video instruction
  • Quality drying. What does this mean? Firstly, the weight of the blanks is significantly reduced, which makes it easier to work with them. Secondly, the likelihood of such “troubles” as thermal deformation, decay, and the development of fungal diseases is much reduced. Thirdly, it is not subject to "shrinkage", therefore, cracks will not appear and additional sealing of surfaces will not be required.
  • The processing of all sides is better than that of the same lining.
  • Peculiar appearance. All properties of natural wood (environmental friendliness, the ability to regulate indoor humidity, and some others) are fully preserved.
  • Experts note that in terms of the quality of the joints between the boards, a block house is more preferable than a lining.

At the same time, relatively low vapor permeability is noted as a disadvantage. Therefore, if the blockhouse is used for interior decoration, then you should consider the issues of waterproofing surfaces and creating reliable system ventilation. Otherwise (under certain conditions) it is impossible to avoid the formation of condensate, an increase in the level of humidity.

It is used to decorate any buildings: residential buildings (including country houses), baths, gazebos and the like. In its installation there are some nuances that you need to know about.

Application features

It is necessary to take into account the specifics of the house. If it is built from natural wood, then it is necessary to wait until the logs (timber) shrink. And this is usually about a year. Immediately after the completion of construction, it is pointless to carry out finishing work.

1. Correct selection type of wood.

It is necessary to take into account its properties when designing a particular room. As already mentioned, most products are made from conifers. Such a "tree" has some features - with high temperatures wood begins to secrete resin, "resin". In addition, having a dense structure, it heats up a lot. Therefore, there is a possibility of thermal burns. Therefore, for some rooms of a sauna or bath (steam room, shower room), the use of larch species (alder, linden, aspen) is recommended.

However, it can be considered good option larch block house for interior decoration of such premises, if the choice fell on coniferous wood. First, when wet, it becomes stronger over time. Secondly, he practically does not "tar".

When choosing larch trees, you need to consider that, for example, ash does not like high humidity and temperature fluctuations. It is not suitable for a steam room, bathroom, kitchen. When choosing a particular type of wood, read its characteristics. Experienced craftsmen warn against finishing all rooms with the same type of wood. Although this is more convenient, but first of all, the specifics of the use of each room should be taken into account;

2. Choice of sizes.

It will be mounted on the crate. Based on this, the material should be fairly light. A small thickness and a width of no more than 15 cm is preferable. This is quite enough to beautifully and economically sheathe the house from the inside with a block house;

3. Installation of a waterproofing layer.

Attaches to the surface to be treated. And only after that the slats are mounted under the block house.

4. Installation of the crate.

Its dimensions (configuration) are selected based on what material will be used for insulation. It fits between the slats, and therefore determines the distance between them, as well as their thickness. Depending on the conditions, it is recommended to leave a small "gap" between the insulation and the wall. This provides good ventilation.

5. Installation of insulation and vapor barrier layer.

The latter is superimposed on thermal insulation. After the “assembly” is completed, it is recommended to equip another waterproofing layer on top. This is the final stage of work on preparing the surface for sheathing with a blockhouse.

6. "Finish" surface finish.

Boards are fastened either with nails or special clips. If the latter are used, then it is better to choose metal ones, since plastic is less reliable. Workpieces are placed horizontally or vertically. It all depends on the overall interior and the taste of the owners. In rooms with high humidity, condensation often appears on the walls, and water droplets begin to roll down. In such rooms, the boards should be placed vertically to prevent the accumulation of moisture at the joints of the workpieces.

This is a brief instruction for decorating rooms with a blockhouse. But before you start such work, make detailed list with everything you need and make a cost calculation (make an estimate).

In many ways, it is determined by the design of the building (area, configuration of the premises) and the material from which it was built. Indeed, in accordance with this, both the dimensions of the boards and the type of wood are determined.

For example, 1 m3 of a pine blockhouse costs about 9,000 rubles. The standard length is 3.4 or 6 m, the most purchased variety is AB. The remaining "parameters" are 26 (36) x 136 (141).

Larch will cost 930 rubles / m2 with dimensions of 27 x 140 (24 mm thick). Thinner blanks (22 mm) are sold for 850 rubles / m2. For 1 m3 you will have to pay about 16,000 rubles.

Other wood "goes" at a price of 390 to 560 rubles / m2.

If you choose the right finishing material (thickness), the type of wood and do-it-yourself installation, you can save a lot. It is only necessary to take into account that it is still necessary to take with a small margin. In the course of work, something is always missing. And if you buy more, it will be a blockhouse from another batch, which is undesirable.

You can invite specialists to perform finishing work, but you will have to pay for their services from about 450 rubles / m2 (including cost).

Recently, products have appeared on the market that can be called a hybrid of the siding described above and already familiar to us. It's called metal siding. There is also a plastic one. But they are more often used in the exterior design of buildings, so we will not consider these types of material in more detail.

Natural and environmentally friendly finishing materials, despite high costs and special functions, never lose their relevance.

Decorating a block with a house within a house is a chic, exclusive and rather pleasant option that will change every apartment that will no longer be recognized.

A house block is one of the types of spacers that can be made from a variety of materials.

The classic cladding is made of natural wood, most often coniferous (spruce, cedar, pine), as well as deciduous trees (lime, rash, alder).

For outdoor applications, climate-resistant vinyl or metal counterparts are characterized by increased wear resistance and durability.

A feature of the Haus block is its front part in the form of a rounded rod.

The material of the interior decoration has distinctive features:

  • It is made from environmentally friendly raw materials;
  • It has high strength, reliability, wear resistance;
  • It offers repairs, painting and polishing;
  • It is light in weight and therefore does not cause unnecessary stress on different surfaces;
  • It provides high heat and sound insulation of the premises;
  • Allows you to support optimal humidity inside the house;
  • Simple and easy to install and then worry.

Main dimensions and material classes

When choosing a house block, it is important to consider its size and grades.

Manufacturers offer two sizes of plates. Narrow (8-9 cm) and medium (12 cm) width (20-25 cm), thickness from 2 to 4 cm long. This product can vary from 1.5m to 5.5-6m.

As you already know, you can use narrow products to small rooms with low ceilings, medium boards for large rooms.

But wide elements are suitable for facade cladding.

Also, you need to define a class. Modern blocks of blocks represent three classes:

  • Economy Class (C) - small defects and surface damage, small worms, pockets and uneven colors;
  • Standard (A, B) - includes a small amount of knots and small cracks, the absence of significant errors in the database.

    The plates are clean and textured;

  • The extra class is completely flat and clean with no bugs or bugs. Resin pockets.

Based on the foregoing, we can conclude that the stove is of the highest class, more expensive material.

The most common products are coniferous products, which are characterized by high density, strength and durability.

Particular attention should be paid to the thickness of the panels as this will determine the strength of the coating.

Experts advise choosing products with a thickness of at least 3 - 3.5 cm.

Mounting functions

Completing a home in a home starts with preparation necessary materials and tools.

To work, you need the following:

  • screwdriver;
  • Self-tapping screws or nails;
  • Fretna žaga;
  • drill;
  • A hammer;
  • Building class;
  • Antiseptic for wood;
  • Brush (5, 10 cm), roller;
  • Grinding machine.
  • Block house (correct size and quantity);
  • Chopsticks (thickness 25-30 mm);
  • Corners for interior and exterior decoration;
  • pedestal.

After buying the coating material, he must spend some time in the house for the so-called.

acclimatization. How does this happen? The plates should be placed on the floor in a room that is ready for finishing within a few days. This prevents shrinkage of the wood and the formation of cracks and cracks.

The installation of the home block begins with the installation of the frame, which will be made of wooden beams.

House block for interior decoration: dimensions and quality, basic principles of installation, warnings

It is necessary to carefully observe the distance between the individual elements, which should be 45-50 cm. The year is mounted on the surface in a vertical position using nails or self-tapping screws.

To ensure that the gasket indoor unit did not look uneven, it should be aligned with the construction stage at the time of attaching the container.

Where it is necessary to cut the rods somewhere, make an additional substrate.

If the house needs to be insulated, then a heater or steamer must be installed after the rack is installed.

The finished material can be attached in one of two ways: with knives or dowels in the prepared holes.

After installing the lamellas with a drill, small holes are made in the rods for installing dowels or self-tapping screws.

The process of laying the blockade always starts from the top, since the first plate must be twisted up.

Among the elements at the intersection with the floor and ceiling, small slots should be left at a distance of 4-5 mm for ventilation.

Each plate must be fixed at a 45 degree angle in a suitable groove in the screws of the prepared holes, which are screwed in with a screwdriver.

Corner finishes are simply machined, so the end faces of the plate must be inserted into the inside or outside corner insert.

When all panels are installed, you must install the ceiling and base.

After completing the installation process, you can start grinding the surface with a mill.

Then the surface is covered with an antiseptic or stain in several layers. You can use brushes for the corner and for the main surface - the cylinder.

The cover and block of the house can be painted, and at the same time, you can choose different color solutions for home.

If you notice slight roughness or surface roughness, you can remove them with a sprint. After that, apply stains in a stain and leave to dry completely.

Well in the end you open wooden base varnished for wood.

It effectively protects against damage, provides high resistance to high humidity and sunlight. For this, it is better to use compositions deep penetrations with long drying time.

  1. Why choose a block house
  2. Block house installation: recommendations
  3. Summarizing

When it comes to updating the interior, people first of all start from their aesthetic preferences. The attribute of comfort is something that in our time occupies a leading position.

Finishing the facade with a block house is an opportunity that will turn the house into beautiful building effectively improving its appearance.

Such a design of a summer house or a country house will allow you to give a certain status to the owners of real estate. Moreover, such a cladding in itself is useful for the home and has a number of advantages.

Why choose a block house

Facing the facade with a block house will strengthen the house: such a finish of the building provides mechanical strength, which protects against adverse atmospheric and external influences (sand, stones, bumps, etc.).

Also, finishing the facade with a block house allows you to maintain the integrity of the skin.

If, nevertheless, the finish was damaged, it can be easily restored without spending a lot of effort: you need to sand the damaged area and then paint it.

After finishing the facade in this style, the building will be perceived completely differently.

Finishing under natural wood is a very favorable campaign that brings aesthetic satisfaction.

It must be admitted: facing the facade with a block house is not a cheap pleasure, therefore it will create the necessary idea of the owners of the house among neighbors and passers-by.

One of the big pluses is that decorating a house does not take much time and is an easy job.

How to decorate the inside of a house with a block house

The load on the foundation will be insignificant. The house will be able to "breathe". While doing exterior finish block house creates additional insulation, which is never superfluous.

The advantages of a block house can be described further, since the above is far from all the advantages. But the essence is clear: finishing with a block house allows the house to look not only spectacular, but also effectively protects it.

The disadvantages are quite few against the background of all the advantages.

And yet: in order for the operation of the block house to last for a long time, it must be periodically painted, covered with protective materials, or varnished.

This means that additional financial resources will be required, as well as certain concerns. If the house is large enough, then the procedure will take a lot of time and effort.

As for the tool, you may need:

  • roulette;
  • hacksaw;
  • stapler;
  • screwdriver;
  • marker;
  • level.

How to choose wood for house cladding

As simple as choosing an exterior finish may seem, it's not an easy task.

The trick is to choose boards that differ in their properties and appearance.

The boards must be at least 150 mm wide if this is an exterior block house finish. It is on this parameter - size - that you need to pay special attention. It is great if all the boards do not differ from each other.

Since the block house is outdoor, the wood must also be of high quality so that it can serve for many years. Taking this fact into account, it is best to use conifers in the decoration: spruce, pine or larch.

These trees have good rot resistance.

Before making a choice, you need to find out from which places this board came. It is much more profitable to buy a tree that grows in the North. It has a higher density, and this has a positive effect on other properties.

To purchase quality goods, it is best to split a log that is potential for purchase and peer into its inner side: a tree from the North has a smaller interval between rings.

Basically, wood from any region is suitable for decoration, but, according to authoritative experts, it is the northern tree that lasts longer.

A little about the care of the block house

After the house is lined, there is no need to relax if there is a need for long-term operation.

If there is one, then you should stock up: mastics, paints, stains and varnishes, as well as other protective coatings - to your own taste.

In fact, caring for a block house is not something difficult. Moreover, work on fresh air always helpful. In order for the wood not to wear out, it is necessary:

  • Prime the surface, and then treat it with a colorless varnish or paint.
  • Wait until the coating dries and sand the surface well.
  • Apply the desired amount of final coating - paint or varnish.
  • It is recommended to do this procedure every 5-7 years.

Need to use only quality materials which have a long service life.

It is the quality of the materials that will determine the life of the block house. It is recommended to use the same materials that were applied for the first time, otherwise you will have to remove the old coating and apply a new one.

If there is a need to give the wood a different shade or highlight the texture, then there are special stains that allow you to do this.

Before starting the installation of the facade of the house, it is necessary to carry out preparatory work.

First you need to acclimatize the boards by letting them lie down in the room without packaging. Since there are several ways of installation, you need to decide how exactly the work will take place.

The order of finishing the house with a block house will be as follows:

  • A vapor barrier is attached to the wall.
  • A crate is mounted on the vapor barrier.
  • Insulation.
  • Windproof film.
  • The second layer of the crate.

After that, you can proceed to fixing the block house.

As mentioned above, there are several ways to mount a block house.

For this, screws or nails are most often used. A big plus is the anti-corrosion coating on self-tapping screws or nails.

Despite the way the board is attached, you need to pay attention to its location during installation. It should be located spike up, which will not accumulate dust and moisture.

With this installation, the boards will remain intact longer, therefore, the service life is increased.

Summarizing

It should be noted that finishing the house with a block house allows you to create a structure whose purpose is to insulate the house and make the room comfortable.

In other words, the block house is primarily practical, and then aesthetic.

Despite the fact that the cladding requires care - albeit rarely - and the installation procedure itself requires a considerable amount, the block house will breathe life into the house and make it look pleasing to the eye.

It has a lot more pluses than minuses.

Having resolved all the troubles and done the work once, you do not have to worry about it all year round.

If you want to build a house with wooden frame and surround the house, this is an opportunity to get a reliable and warm apartment relatively cheap.

Comparing the design, assembly technology and thermal characteristics framework and wooden houses, I found that both options have similar performance metrics. But frame house cheaper and can be built faster as there is no need to transfer the plank to shrink.

house frame

We left separate skeletons for each floor.

The corners from the solid beam have moved from the facade to upper part second floor. Pinned posts are the top sticks. Their upper ends are cut at an angle, which forms an inclined base.

At these peaks, the top floor of the first floor is assembled. Beams of the second floor are installed at the back. In the main building of the house, the media are sterilized, as they are visible on the ceiling of the first floor.

Bottom, middle and top straps are made of 100*150mm wood. cabinet compartment 100 x 100 mm (intermediate wall corner) and bridge bridges are connected with connecting screws and “liquid nails” adhesive force.

The minimum distance between the uprights must be at least 0.8 m. Floor beams with a bar 100 * 150 mm are laid in 0.8 m increments.

Diagonal stem skeletons are provided around the corners of the frame to increase the strength of the frame. On the second floor, as well as on the first, there are additional rods attached to the corner pins, on which the top band is loaded with rafters.

The upper frame of the frame of the house is made of hardwood with a profile of 100 * 150 mm.

The structure of the side wing structure is below 0.2m mostly. We introduced Gable to 0.4m substring blowouts. They need to break down and draw on the ground so they don't have to do it over 6m.

roof

Since the roof of the house is multiple, the frame was assembled in two stages. First, to avoid mistakes, the plan was drawn to the ground according to the blueprint, using the base of the foundation as a template. Then the skeleton of the roof was removed, which indicated all the details and their location, so that the height was simple and easy to install.

Assembling the frame of the house

The middle pillars joined the corner pillars on which the other panels were supported.

Small stands on the ground floor and diagonal slopes were installed by marking. On the floor on the second floor, they assembled a temporary technological bottom and began to lay the top tape. To install the reefs and roof frames, temporary scaffolding was built half a meter below the level of the upper belt.

Block wrapping

To save money, we chose block class C (the number of holes from falling knots is allowed) with a thickness of 40 mm and a width of 145 mm.

Errors in them can be easily repaired with wooden pins adapted to the dimensions of the knots and PVA glue.

Cutting slabs with defects for projectiles and gable trim. By carefully choosing the material, the marriage takes a maximum of 5%, and in the future the remains will also be useful - for the arbor or cavity.

The cladding of the house began with the adjustment of the bottom plate.

It was installed at a 25 degree angle to the wall, checking the horizontal level of the top edge. Glassine was used to waterproof the walls. The plate above the tile can also be used with a severe tear as it must be cut at the same 25 degree angle.

joints

The standard blocking length is 3 m.

The trimmed sorted plates form a decorated wall with a uniform profile.

Block house for interior decoration: ideas for space design

But on the long sides of the panels of the house, it must be fixed. To make the skin look strong and not blow on the joints, we used special technology interface. A bar (with the same thickness as the block) was attached to the smoothly visible edges of the leather ends. The following plates were laid and fixed on the other side of this board. This technology also interfered with the interior corners of the interlocked house. If there was more than one such joint on the wall, it was not always possible to accurately match the joints - and small defects had to be hidden with a vertical fabric tape.

Thus, in case of rain, the block is not wet, we immediately destroy each wall with a special color.

The walls were painted to look like oak, and all other details were painted in a dark matrix.

Old types of shale

We chose the simplest and cheapest material for the roof of the house - ordinary gray slate. Stack it up - it's pretty simple, but there was a lot of time building and equipping classes, and slate overlay at the skater's crossroads.

After fixing all the sheets, galvanized iron ridge elements were installed.

The slate is covered with a special color, the so-called rubber roof. The color chosen was dark brown, the tone of the windows and the corner.

The painting work was as fast as before, the ink sheets were processed with a special powder, after which it was enough to paint the roof only once.

In less than 7 hours our roof was not recognized.

We have completed the second floor

On the roof, they began to break the walls of the second floor. The work was slower: first you had to build a forest on one of the walls, and then transfer it to another. A lot of time was used to fill the gables. For the overall harmony of all elements and the structure as a whole, we decided to end them with a blockade.

The problem was the installation of the front panels in the corners and along the length. In this part we were useful - the proposals of the two rulers, attached to the end of the course. He identified this small one as the slope of the slope and took it to the boards.

Windows and doors

After the house was finished, the windows were put in.

Widths and widths were determined at the stage of mounting the frame, so we inserted all 8 windows in one day. The outer window block was heated at a distance of 1.5 cm from the outer part of the blockade. Later, when the clypeus was nailed in, this shelf was covered with a specially dense fitting and along the wall of sticks.

External corners of the house

First, the armor was tied to the ends of the blockade, and the corners were closed with boards 25 mm thick and 150 mm wide.

And we cut one of the plates by 125 mm so that the coating is symmetrical.

The height of our house is almost 5 m, so we decided to make corner panels for each floor. The places of their joints between the floors were covered with decorative spots. The already painted corner panels were fixed with screws.

porch

Her roof was on the side that matched the roof of the house.

It was difficult to fix it to the roof of the porch with the wall covered with blockage. To do this, on the wall plate with a circular saw, cut a depth of 25 mm along the contour of the roof, from the gutter to the height above the shaft (120 mm). Above the slate, lying on the roofing board and against the wall of the house, the apron was made of galvanized iron, which swayed under the profile. inner corner. outside corner was placed over it in a container and tied tightly to the wall of the house that covered the apron.

Before painting the roof was additionally mixed with propylene sealant in the block.

Perhaps we built the house too early: two seasons were a long time. Naturally, hiring a team of professional builders was possible and fast: within two weeks, the house could be built by a team of 4 people.

But we wanted to do it ourselves.

What type of finishing material is called block house?

In European countries, this concept refers to a set of parts for assembling a frame structure.

In Russia, when this term is used, they mean panels with which the finishing of a building structure is carried out.

There is no doubt that cladding a house with a block house is more convenient and economical, compared to finishing with plaster, for which expensive construction teams have to be involved.

Varieties of finishing material

There are several types of such finishing coatings:

Sheathing, which includes natural wood.

Coniferous trees are mainly used. One side of the product has a flat surface, and the other is convex.

Artificial coverings. Vinyl is used to make them. They consist of plasticizers and protective strengthening agents.

The metal cladding is corrosion resistant. It has a long service life.

wood paneling

Panels made of wood look like planed and processed boards.

When finishing with such a coating, a complete imitation of a house is created, which includes natural timber.

Coniferous and deciduous types of wood are used for the production of products:

The composition of pine and larch includes natural water-repellent substances.

When decorating walls conifers the structure is additionally protected from rotting and mold. Coniferous trees contain natural antiseptics.

Such coatings are quite strong and durable.

The material has a democratic price.

Spruce is not usually used in the manufacture of a block house. It is not a strong enough type of wood that can be used for exterior cladding.

To hardwood oak, birch and alder can be attributed.

They are rarely used in the manufacture of a block house. At the request of the customer, such coatings are made in single versions.

Finishing with oak can be used almost forever. This type of wood is the most durable. It is little affected by weather conditions.

Sheathe wooden house from the outside, you can do it yourself.

To do this, you must follow the installation rules.

When buying a coating consisting of natural wood, you should definitely check its quality. Many unscrupulous manufacturers can find wet and poor-quality products.

Panels must have a flat surface. Humidity should not exceed 20%.

Use of vinyl flooring

Sheathing the house with a block house, which includes vinyl, is a fairly reliable coating.

The panels are not afraid of moisture, do not rot, mold does not start in them.

In addition, they are easy to care for. Vinyl sheathing can be installed in a short period of time.

The material has convenient grooves for docking and fastening the necessary fittings.

For installation, it is not necessary to carry out carpentry work, which is present during the installation of a natural coating.
