Potassium humate universal application with trace elements. Potassium humate is an effective fertilizer with a wide range of applications. For indoor plants

There are many supporters of both organic and mineral fertilizers. You can be an adherent of any method, but many still agree that natural plant supplements are most often more beneficial. At least due to the fact that they completely decompose in the soil. One such fertilizer is potassium humate. In this article, we will look at how to use it.

Humat fell in love with our gardeners and gardeners for a very long time. It is easy to use, and the effect of using this natural supplement is extremely good and noticeable even to the naked eye. It is obtained from completely natural natural ingredients. Potassium humate is produced from the remains of vegetation; extracts from peat, manure and even lake silt are also used for this. In some cases, lignite is used as raw material. The natural components of humate have a pronounced stimulating effect. So, with the preliminary soaking of seeds, the degree of their germination sharply increases. If you process cuttings with it, then the chances of their rooting increase significantly.

To process seeds, seedlings and cuttings, you should prepare a solution at the rate of 20 ml of the drug per 250 ml of water. Soaking is carried out for 10-15 hours a day before planting.

How to breed potassium humate?

If potassium humate is used for irrigation, a composition is prepared at the rate of 50 ml of the drug per bucket of water (10 l). For a large cultivated area, you can start from the ratio of 1 liter per 200 liters of water (one barrel).

Perennial plants are treated four times with a solution for irrigation: the first time the treatment is carried out in early spring. 3 weeks later, a second treatment is performed. After the formation of buds, humate should be applied a third time, and the last - fourth time - during flowering.

Liquid peat humate with a potassium composition has proven itself very positively. This fertilizer is in the form of a dark brown liquid. It has a stimulating effect and contains 80% of the main substance. Liquid potassium humate on a peat basis, produced as a result of processing natural peat, by extracting many active substances from it (phosphorus, nitrogen, trace elements and potassium). It is very rich in mineral and organic trace elements. Peat liquid potassium humate contains up to 30 useful and nutritious microelements.

Instructions for using this fertilizer are not complicated: you just need to dilute the concentrate in water with a concentration of 0.01%, depending on the purpose and the fertilized crop. This type of humate is used for soaking seeds and planting materials, seedlings, as well as root and non-root fertilizer of crops.

In order to improve the condition of the soil, increase the composition of organic matter in it, liquid potassium humate is added to the ground in the form of a concentrated solution of 0.1-0.2% of the main substance.

The considered fertilizer in combination with pesticides and mineral fertilizers is considered very effective. It can be mixed without any restrictions with nitrogen, organic fertilizers, even potassium.

Liquid potassium humate is not combined with phosphorus preparations due to the formation of compounds that are not able to dissolve. They are recommended to be added separately. If you have any doubts about any other pesticides or organic substances, then it is better to take each drug in small parts, mix and look at the reaction. If, as a result of this compound, no precipitate forms, then the preparations can be safely mixed and used as a fertilizer.

The treatment of growing plants with a non-root method in combination with mineral preparations and pesticides has one very big advantage - this contributes to a significant reduction in nitrates and poisons in a growing plant and a grown crop.

Potassium humate is an organomineral fertilizer that is produced from peat, river silt, brown coal, as well as waste from the production of alcohol and paper. For the manufacture of humic fertilizer, silt deposits accumulated at the bottom of freshwater ponds and lakes are also used. The main condition for obtaining sapropel (the so-called multilayer deposits) is the presence of stagnant water and the absence of oxygen. Then all layers will be saturated with the remains of living organisms, plants and will bring the greatest benefit to the fertilized soil.

In essence, potassium humate is a salt of concentrated humic acid. In nature, humic acid is one of the main chemical constituents of the soil. But since we constantly work with the land, plow it, irrigate it, dig it up, introduce various chemicals and fertilizers, humates cannot be formed in the required concentration. As soon as the amount of humic acids reaches a minimum level, the fertile properties of the earth are reduced to zero.

The harvest on such land turns out to be meager, even with abundant irrigation of plants with complex fertilizers. The problem with poor growth of vegetable crops cannot be solved only by processing bushes and leaves. First of all, it is necessary to saturate the soil with minerals, acids and restore its original properties. Humic fertilizers are ideal for this, because it is almost impossible to oversaturate the soil with humus.

Some advanced farmers organize special compost pits, constantly producing humus, with which they fertilize the beds. But since many people's plots are not very large and there is no way to allocate special places for humus, they prefer specially created industrial humates.

Humic fertilizers are also divided into ballast and non-ballast. The first group is directly a mixture that has not been purified from natural impurities and retained its original composition. It is mined as carefully as possible and they try not to destroy the layers formed over the years. Ballast-free humate is more suitable for improving plant growth due to the fact that it contains a much larger amount of active substances. That is, ballast-free humates go through the saturation stage additional elements which makes them even more effective. No wonder ballast-free humates are called growth activators.

The use of humates is useful on alkaline, ground soils, which have a low iron content. Such soil will gratefully accept fertilizer and will respond to it with an increase in yield by several times.

But, if you have fat black soil on your site, then it will not react to this fertilizer in any way, even if you fill it with every centimeter of your garden. Before the beginning spring planting vegetable crops, try to analyze the soil, determine its acidity, so as not to fertilize the soil in vain if there is no need for it.

People began to use potassium and sodium humates as fertilizers back in the days ancient egypt. True, the land was fertilized most often without their direct participation. The Nile River overflowed its banks and overflowed for many kilometers. When the water left, the peasants found on their arable plots a dense black layer of a substance that they could not give a name to. Time after time, the Nile came and flooded the land, and then people began to pay attention to the fact that the crop after the river overflowed its banks became more abundant. Then the peasants themselves began to bring humate to their plots and fertilize the land with it.

And at the end of the 19th century, scientists with their scientific works confirmed the usefulness of the use of humates as fertilizers. It turned out that they are able not only to accelerate the growth of plants, make them more resistant to weather conditions, but also prevent heavy metals and radionuclides from being absorbed into the roots and remove the effects of pesticide treatment on the fruits.

And only after scientific recognition, potassium humates began to gain wide popularity among gardeners and farmers. Now every person who has his own plot and grows various vegetable and berry crops knows potassium humate. Humate is sold in any agricultural store and costs very little money.

How to properly dilute potassium humate

Potassium humate is available in several forms, among which you can choose a more convenient option for yourself:

  • dry powder
  • liquid concentrate
  • paste
  • prompter.

Before you start working with any of these products, you should carefully read the instructions and learn how to properly dilute the fertilizer. Do not forget about safety precautions when working with any fertilizers!

dry powder

Fertilizer in the form of a powder can be used both in dry form and diluted in water. The dry form may be more convenient in large areas where it can be simply sprayed on. Humate penetrates into the soil, improves its fertile qualities and is able to increase the content of useful components in the soil several times.

It should be understood that a universal humate breeding scheme cannot exist, if only because this fertilizer is produced by completely different companies and the data in the instructions may differ from each other. It all depends on the concentration in which the powder is produced.

Let's look at one of options dilution of dry powder so that you understand how to work with it.

Breeding for soaking seeds and sprouts

Take 0.5 grams (about a third of a teaspoon) of fertilizer and mix it in 1 liter of water. Dip the plant seeds into the resulting solution and leave them there for 8-12 hours. And the sprouts descend into the liquid by 2/3 of their length and are left for 14 hours. Soaking in such a liquid makes future crops much more resistant to various diseases and nourishes them with all the necessary nutrients.

Using fertilizer for spraying and watering

Dilute 3 grams of humate in 10 liters of warm water at about fifty degrees. Stir the liquid thoroughly until all granules are completely dissolved. If possible, use filtered water.

The resulting solution can be used to treat the leaves of plants. Try not to be too zealous with spraying, as excess does not lead to anything good. Spray the area in this way three times with an interval of two weeks. The consumption of the resulting solution is approximately 1 liter per 10 square meters when spraying. And when watering, 10 liters of liquid per 10 square meters are consumed.

To determine whether the solution is outwardly ready for use or not, take a closer look at its color. The finished liquid has the color of weakly brewed tea. The solution must be clean and not contain any impurities and suspensions. If it seems to you that something is floating in the bucket, then it is better to strain the solution through cheesecloth.

Soil treatment before sowing

Mix the humate with sand and evenly scatter over the area. 50 grams of the product is enough to process 10 square meters of soil. Then walk around the entire area with a rake and loosen the ground. If there is a lot of precipitation in winter, then in the spring there will be a lack of useful trace elements. That is why such an important place is occupied by fertilizing the land in early spring, just before the start of planting.

When it comes to dry humic fertilizer, we cannot ignore the most popular representative of this species.

Humate +7

Humate +7 is a natural fertilizer based on humic acids, additionally enriched with seven trace elements:

  • iron
  • molybdenum
  • manganese
  • copper.

The addition of elements to the composition made the product even more versatile: it became possible to use it both as a growth stimulator and as a fertilizer.

Breeding instructions for Humate +7 are very simple. One package weighing 10 grams is enough to prepare a solution with a volume of 200 liters.

In the event that you want to cultivate the soil before the start of the gardening season, calculate how much humate you will need. One bag of Humate +7 weighing 10 grams is enough to process 3 square meters of soil.

Soaking seeds and tubers in humic fertilizer is very useful, but just keep in mind that different plants should be in the solution for different times. For example, large-seeded breeds can lie in the liquid for about three days, and all other crops for no more than a day.

If you want to use Humat +7 for watering your beds, then keep the interval between treatments for at least two weeks.

Humate +7 is compatible with nitrogen and complex fertilizers, but is absolutely not friendly with phosphorus and potash agents, so it is not worth treating the soil with them at the same time.

liquid concentrate

The liquid form of humate is a concentrate, which consists of 80% of the active substance. The liquid has a dark brown color and a rather specific smell.

In order to soak the seeds in humic fertilizer, make a solution at the rate of 20 ml of concentrate per 250 ml of water. Leave seeds and seedlings in this liquid for about 12-15 hours for maximum positive results.

If you are going to spray fertilizer or water the garden, then make a solution at the rate of 50 ml of concentrate per 10 liters of water.

In the event that you are going to introduce some other agent into the soil together with humate, for example, phosphorus fertilizer, it is better to refrain from this. The fact is that humate interacts very poorly with phosphorus and your beds will not benefit from such an alliance.

If suddenly you doubt whether it is worth treating the soil with two different fertilizers at the same time, then try mixing them and see the reaction. If there is no sediment, then everything is in order and you can continue your agricultural experiments.

According to their active ingredients liquid form is no different from dry powder, and both options do their job perfectly.

Paste and gel

Such release forms as paste and gel appeared on sale relatively recently. The manufacturer claims that in this form, the fertilizer dissolves much better in water and is more economically consumed than dry or liquid form of humic fertilizer. Also in one small jar there is a much higher concentration of trace elements and potassium than in other forms of fertilizer release.

Humate is mixed in proportions of one tablespoon per 10 liters of water. 1 liter of this solution can be sprayed on about 1 hectare of the garden. By a simple calculation, it becomes clear that the gel and paste, indeed, at a lower consumption, help to process a much larger area.

Humat Prompter

This type of fertilizer is obtained from humic sapropel, it contains the maximum amount of organic matter and a number of valuable trace elements. It is the prompter that is considered to be the universal version of humate.

It is suitable for processing indoor plants and for fertilizing vegetable crops. The prompter is sold in liquid concentrated form of dark brown color.

In winter, the processing of indoor plants occurs no more than once every 1.5 months, and during the flowering period, some gardeners prefer to fertilize their beds every week. There will be no harm from such regularity of processing, but it will not be possible to get more benefit than fertilizer can give.

Humate not only increases the resistance of plants to various negative factors affecting their growth and development, but also improves even appearance the resulting fruits. They are significantly larger than their unfinished counterparts and look equally beautiful and glossy.

Potato fertilizer with potassium humate

Potatoes are rightfully one of the most popular vegetables. It is included in the diet of all people without exception, and farmers are ready to go to great lengths to get a rich harvest in the fall.

Treatment with potassium humate is the safest and most in a simple way improve the condition of vegetables. First of all, it is necessary to soak the tubers themselves before planting them in the ground.

To do this, dilute in water room temperature concentrated fertilizer solution (we wrote how to make such a solution a little higher) and place the potatoes in it for 10-12 hours. This time is more than enough for the tubers to get all the nutrients they need.

After the tubers have sprouted and the first leaves have appeared on the sprouts, it is time to start watering and spraying the bushes with humate.

If suddenly you are going to treat potatoes with fungicides or insecticides, then it is better to use humate after them. Since it will help reduce the harm received by plants from chemicals.

During the growing season, it is better to treat potatoes with humate twice, the second time during the period when the first buds began to appear on the bushes.

Useful and harmful properties of humate for plants

O useful properties potassium humate, we have already said more than once in this article, but let's try to systematize all the advantages that appear when using this type of fertilizer.

  • Humate is an absolutely natural fertilizer, the effectiveness of which has been proven not only by the scientific work of scientists, but also by many years of use by gardeners.
  • This type of fertilizer is universal: it can be used to treat the soil, the plants themselves, as well as seeds, tubers and seedlings before planting in open ground. Few tools can boast such versatility.
  • Humate improves the soil, saturates it with microelements, helps to reduce the amount of radioactive components and heavy metals.
  • With this fertilizer, the yield increases in some cases from twenty to fifty percent.
  • Humate increases the resistance of plants to diseases, helps them to tolerate chemical treatment more easily, and recover faster from pest invasion.

  • Vegetables and berries treated with humic fertilizers ripen faster and look glossy and beautiful.
  • This tool can be used not only to treat plants planted in open ground, but also to feed home flowers.
  • The cost of humate relative to other fertilizers is very low and therefore, even when treating a large area, you will spend a very small amount of money.

Such an impressive list positive qualities humate turned out, but what harmful properties does it have? And are there any at all?

  • Harm from humic fertilizers can be if you use them uncontrollably. Follow all the instructions on the packaging and do not strive to fill every inch of land with fertilizer in pursuit of a good harvest.

  • If you do no harm to chernozem with potassium humate, then soil with a predominant amount of humate salts is useless. Only disturb the balance of trace elements even more and worsen the condition of the earth.
  • Harm from potassium humate can also be if you bought fertilizer from an unscrupulous manufacturer, who instead natural remedy sold you an incomprehensible chemical mixture. Try to give preference to trusted fertilizer suppliers and do not buy goods from non-specialized stores. Have pity on your harvest and nerves.
  • Humic fertilizer is not a panacea for all diseases and cannot fill the plants with a maximum useful substances. Sometimes gardeners place too much hope on him and do not feed their beds with anything else. The end result is not as happy as it could be. In order not to experience such disappointment, alternate humate with other nitrogen fertilizers.

Advice

In the event that you have made a solution with the wrong ratio of humate and water and suspect that your houseplant has received an excess of minerals, then correcting this situation is quite simple. Rinse the top sod with clean water and repeat this procedure several times so that the water comes out of the holes in the pot. When the water passes through the entire soil several times, the excess of humate will be eliminated.

Humus and its derivatives humates, humic acids are the most important constituents of the soil, which determine its fertility. They are the basic elements of soil biochemical processes. For the purposes of crop production, the industry produces potassium humate - an organic type of fertilizer containing a large percentage of humic acids.

In the process of decomposition of plant residues in the upper layers of the soil, humic acids are formed, their salts (sodium, potassium) are called humates. These natural compounds are essential for soil microorganisms. Consuming them in the process of life, they change the mechanical and chemical composition soil in better side, make it more permeable and air-conducting.

  • sapropel;
  • peat;
  • coal (brown);
  • lingnosulfates (secondary products obtained in the production of cellulose).

The production of two varieties of humic fertilizers has been launched: ballast-free and ballast. The first type is used as top dressing, the second type stimulates the growth of seedlings, strengthens the immunity of garden and vegetable crops. Release form: granules, tablets, powder, gel, paste, liquid concentrate.

Useful properties of the drug are determined by the composition: 80% - humic acids, 20% - enzymes, growth activators, peptides, amino acids. Appointment of humic preparations:

  • change for the better of soil characteristics, restoration of its fertility;
  • increased activity of soil microorganisms;
  • pH normalization;
  • more effective use organics introduced into the soil;
  • reduction of application rates of nitrogen fertilizers by 50%;
  • increasing the effectiveness of fungicides, insecticides, herbicides;
  • a positive effect on the appearance, taste of vegetables and fruits, maintaining their health, environmental cleanliness;
  • formation of stress resistance (weather, infections) in all plant species;
  • restoration, strengthening of the root system;
  • soil improvement (removal of harmful impurities).

The use of humic agents for personal plot does not provide negative influence on humans, domestic animals, the environment. These drugs are not inferior to mineral fertilizers in terms of efficiency, they surpass them in terms of price, environmental friendliness.

Humic fertilizers can be combined with most of the mineral preparations (carbamide, ammonium nitrate, KAS-32). Gardeners note an increase in yields after the first year of their application. Fruits and vegetables harvested from plants that receive this type of nutrition during the growing season retain their marketable qualities and nutritional value longer.

Instructions for use

In the package with any form of potassium humate there is an instruction for use. It is produced in the form of a liquid concentrate and a brown powder. When using fertilizer, the pH level of the soil must be taken into account. The desired effect from the use of humic fertilizers is obtained on soils with an alkaline reaction.

Before applying any humic fertilizer, organic matter (humus, compost, manure) is introduced into the depleted soil or requiring annual restoration in the fall (spring). Immediately before making the soil loosen, moisten.

It is forbidden to apply humates together with fertilizers containing phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca). This requirement must be observed so that the synthesis of insoluble compounds that impair its quality does not occur in the soil. First, fats are introduced, which contain Ca, K or P, and only after 5 days - potassium humate or its analogues.

Potassium humate peat liquid

Summer residents prefer the liquid form of fertilizer . It is produced in the form of a concentrated brown liquid. The raw material for production is peat. For different types of treatments, a certain concentration of active substances is recommended, which is achieved by preparing a working solution, the basis of which is cold water.

  • from 0.1 to 0.2% of the liquid volume when preparing a solution for tillage;
  • 0.01% of the liquid volume when preparing a solution for treating plants of any kind.

On sale there is peat potassium humate, enriched with a complex of trace elements. It has a wider spectrum of action on plants, therefore it is more popular with amateurs (vegetable growers, flower growers, gardeners).

The concentrate is diluted in different proportions. The rate of humate per unit volume depends on the purpose of use:

  • seed soaking solution - ⅓ tablespoon per liter;
  • root dressing - 1 tablespoon per 10 liters;
  • foliar top dressing - 1 teaspoon per 10 liters.

Potassium Humate Prompter

Liquid variety of potassium humate. Due to the rich composition of organic substances and minerals, the drug is classified as a universal organomineral fertilizer. The use of the Prompter is indicated for the cultivation of vegetables, flowers, fruits.

With regular use throughout the growing season, its properties are fully manifested:

  • plants take root faster and easier after transplantation;
  • sudden changes in the weather do not reduce immunity;
  • the period of storage of fruits increases.

Potassium humate peat powder

The solid form of the fertilizer is represented by a brown powder, which, when dissolved in water, saturates it with all the necessary trace elements. It is easy to imagine the nutritional value of the product: 1 kilogram of powder is equivalent in its action to 1 ton of humus.

This type of fertilizer facilitates the hard work of the summer resident, accelerates the ripening of the crop. When using potassium humate, the collection begins 2 weeks earlier. For the future, the working solution is not prepared, it must be used immediately after preparation.

Powder of peat potassium humate is used to detoxify the soil after the use of pesticides. 50 grams of funds are spent on an area of 10 square meters; before use, it is mixed in equal proportions with dry sand. The mixture is scattered on the ground.

For accelerated maturation of organics, the powder is added in a volume of 10 grams per 10 kilograms of compost, humus, manure. It is possible to introduce organic mixtures under plants 3 months after treatment with potassium humate.

How to apply for garden and vegetable garden

The benefits of using potassium humate fertilizer in the garden, in the garden, were appreciated by many vegetable growers, gardeners, flower growers. The neutral pH level of this category of products does not cause soil acidification. Humic preparations are indispensable for processing before planting tubers, cuttings, seeds.

Application to cereals

Potassium humate solution is used to treat seeds of grain crops before sowing. The consumption of liquid concentrate per 1 ton of seed material is 100 grams, it is diluted in 10 liters of water. The drug accelerates the development of the root system of plants, ensures the appearance of friendly seedlings.

  • strong immunity;
  • drought tolerance;
  • friendly shoots.

Grain crops are sprayed with a solution up to 2 times per season. The first treatment is carried out during tillering, the second - during earing.

Potassium humate on vegetable crops

The first treatment is pre-sowing. Planting material is soaked in a solution prepared from 1 liter of water and 0.5 grams of the drug. The dose is measured with a medical syringe. Soaking time (hours):

  • seeds - 24;
  • bulbs - 8;
  • tubers - 12 hours

Vegetative vegetables are processed 2 to 6 times. With root top dressing, the concentration is 100 milliliters of the product per 10 liters of water. Consumption per unit area depends on the type of vegetable crop, it is indicated in the instructions for use.

Seedlings respond well to iodine humate - Humate + 7 iodine (how to properly water the seedlings is indicated on the package of the drug). It contains important trace elements and iodine. A concentrated solution is prepared by diluting 10 grams of the product in 10 liters of water.

The resulting liquid (1 liter) is first diluted with 9 liters of water, then vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers) are watered, spending ½ a bucket of fertilizer per 1 square meter. During the season, vegetables are fed 3-4 times, the first time - when the first flowers appear.

Fruit and berry crops and grapes

Fruit trees, berry bushes are fed on the leaf - by spraying, or under the root, combining watering with a fertilizer solution with the application of pesticides.

Humic top dressings are organic natural origin which does not harm the soil and plants. On the contrary, humates improve the palatability horticultural crops increase their yield and shelf life. These are universal fertilizers that are suitable for all types of plants.

What are "humates"?

Humic acids (another name for humates) are produced from peat, lake silt, brown coal. Most often, peat is used. Humic acids are extracted from it by means of alkali. Then comes the purification from impurities, neutralization and preparation of dry or liquid organic fertilizer.

Due to the high content of macro-, microelements, vitamins, many gardeners consider them a first-class fertilizer. In addition, humates are a natural stimulant for the rapid growth of garden and home crops.

Getting into the soil, these substances activate the activity of soil microflora. As a result, there is an improvement in the structure of the soil and its qualitative characteristics.

Beneficial features

Humates have a positive effect on the growth and development of garden crops, as well as on the structure, qualitative composition of the soil:

  • Normalize cellular metabolism, accelerate the production of proteins.
  • Simplify the establishment of seedlings in open field, contribute to the development of a powerful root system.
  • They increase the immunity of garden crops, allow them to more easily withstand adverse growing conditions: droughts, the scorching sun, prolonged rains, hail, frosts.
  • Suitable for any type of soil, reduce the level of heavy metals in the soil.
  • They allow you to save on other fertilizers, enhance the effect of herbicides, insecticides.
  • Do not harm the environment, allow you to grow environmentally friendly fruits.

What are there?

Potassium or sodium humate is used to feed garden crops. They differ in composition and properties, application features.

potassium humate

This organic top dressing is widely used in crop production. Particularly relevant to preparatory stage- seeds, potato tubers, cuttings are treated with potassium humate garden plants, shrubs, flowers. Due to its powerful stimulating properties, this substance contributes to the early rooting of seedlings, the emergence of rapid shoots.

Specialized stores sell both pure potassium humate and additionally enriched with essential trace elements.

sodium humate

It improves the immunity of plants, thanks to which they grow more productively, endure unstable weather conditions. In addition, sodium humate inhibits premature leaf fall, prolongs the flowering period of perennials and annuals.

Important! Sodium humate, unlike potash, is not suitable for alkaline soils.

Release form

Available in the form of granules and liquid concentrates. The first need to be dissolved only in warm water(26-27 degrees). 5 g of granules are enough for a bucket. Liquids are simply diluted according to the instructions on the package, taking into account the type of soil and the characteristics of specific crops.

Gardeners usually prefer liquid concentrates. They are easy to use, affordable and very economical. Liquid humates are used at all stages of development of garden and indoor crops: from seed soaking to pre-winter soil preparation for future beds.

When diluting humates, follow the instructions on the package. Increasing concentration nutritional composition cause burns, adversely affect the development of plants. The prepared composition is best used immediately, its shelf life is up to 7 days.

Instructions for use

Humates are somewhat different from the usual organic top dressing. Their application has its own characteristics and specifics.

For indoor flowers

Top dressing activates the growth of domestic plants, provides abundant and long flowering, presentable appearance. They are applied by the root method, as well as by spraying.

To prepare the basic composition of top dressing, take 50 ml per bucket or the entire bottle per 200-liter barrel. Fertilizer is applied every 14-30 days. depending on the condition of the plant. The most popular humate for indoor flowers is "Prompter".

For tomatoes

Tomatoes are fertilized at least 4 times per season: at phase 2 leaves, during budding, further flowering and immediately after fruit set.

Potassium humate is especially useful for tomatoes. Potassium is necessary for culture for friendly budding and abundant flowering. In addition, this macronutrient has a positive effect on the taste characteristics of tomatoes - it makes them sweet and fleshy.

For cucumbers

These cultures are also treated 4 times: at the stage of the appearance of the first leaves, and then every 14 days.

Cucumbers also love potassium humate. It promotes education a large number ovaries on one plant. Cucumbers grown on humates have a rich taste, they lack voids and bitterness. Top dressing is carried out throughout the season with an interval of 2 weeks.

For onions and garlic

These crops are very responsive to the introduction of humic acids. Thanks to their use, onions, garlic receive all the nutrients and vitamins necessary for full growth. The latter are in the optimal ratio, and therefore do not harm either plants or soil.

The nutrient solution is prepared only once for the entire season. If the dosages (indicated on the package) are observed, it is possible to obtain invariably good harvest these cultures.

For fruit and berry

Berries and fruit trees are watered with the prepared solution 4 times per season, starting from the end of flowering. The concentration of the composition depends on the condition of the plants and the degree of soil depletion. If the soil is not fertile, the application dosage is slightly increased.

Grapes are processed three times: when laying buds, after flowering, during the growth of berries. The application dosage should not exceed that indicated on the package.

Fertilizer Features

There are many brands on the market from different manufacturers. All of them differ in composition, purpose and application features.

Sakhalin

Produced on about. Sakhalin. Its base is hydrocarbon shale (leonardite) containing humic acids and beneficial bacteria in high concentration. Acts as a powerful growth stimulator of any plants, improves the condition of the soil. Perfect for regions of the so-called risky farming.

The drug reduces the loss of potential yield under conditions of deficiency or excess of moisture, attacks from pests.

Conclusion

Humates serve as an excellent alternative to traditional organic fertilizers. They not only increase the yield of garden crops, but also restore the structure and qualitative composition of the soil.

Organic farming is becoming increasingly popular among farmers. Many agricultural specialists and private gardeners and flower growers are switching to growing natural crops without the use of various chemical additives and top dressing. a major role in these modern technologies humates play, and in particular potassium humate.

About six decades ago, the famous professor Lidia Khristeva showed in practice the effectiveness of humates. Having isolated humic acids from the soil, which were represented by a solution of sodium salts, she used them to water the plants. This solution contributed to the accelerated growth and development of crops. Nowadays, preparations based on humates are used and manufactured in many countries and are in great demand in agriculture. This industry is reborn every year into the production of environmentally friendly and safe for health products. Farmers massively began to use humates in their activities.

What are humates?

Humates are a variety of preparations that are made from salts of humic acids, which dissolve easily and turn into an effective solution for use in various industries. Potassium and sodium salts are the basis and concentrate of humus, which directly controls the biochemical processes in the soil. Numerous groups such preparations are used to restore depleted and poor land plots, in land drilling, in environmental practice, in crop and livestock production, as well as in construction and medicine.

Benefits of humus

Humus is formed during the decomposition of organic products and their waste. The more organic matter and less oxygen, the more efficient the process of humus accumulation. Useful biochemical processes in the soil under the influence of humates occur only with three main components - soil, water and plants.

  • Humates improve the composition of the soil and fill it with nutrients, stimulate the growth of crops and protect them from toxic products and heavy metals.
  • Humus contributes to the heating of the soil, as with its help it paints it in a dark color.
  • Humus is able to keep required humidity soil, as it can retain water in large quantities.
  • Humus can change the composition of the soil. For example, sandy crumbly areas with humus become cohesive, and viscous clay soils in combination with humus turn into loose ones.
  • When using potassium humate, accelerated absorption of nutrients by plants from soil and water occurs.

The impact of potassium humate on various crops

Different cultures react to this fertilizer individually, so they can be roughly divided into groups according to the effect and degree of exposure:

  • A strong reaction occurs in vegetable crops.
  • A good reaction is in corn, alfalfa, wheat and millet.
  • Weak reaction - in legumes.
  • Minimum impact - on sunflower and pumpkin.

Potassium humate resembles ground coffee in appearance. It has the same color and similar flowability. It is used as a top dressing for indoor plants and for flowers in the open field. This universal fertilizer is able to change crop volumes for the better, despite various unforeseen situations and unexpected weather conditions.

With the correct and timely application of humates, a good harvest is guaranteed. In principle, the fertilizer can be applied at various stages of plant development and growth. It is only necessary to take into account the difference in application between annuals and perennials. A one-year-old plant needs fertilizer very much at the initial stage of development and before the formation of reproductive organs. Perennial crops need top dressing after planting or transplanting to a new place to strengthen and maintain the root of the plants.

Fertilization with humates is carried out in several ways:

  • When soaking seeds before sowing or for processing other planting material.
  • When watering.
  • When foliar processing (for example, when spraying).

Each type of crop has its own fertilizer application rate, which is indicated in the instructions for the preparation. Violating these recommendations in a smaller or larger direction is strictly prohibited, as the result will be a negative result. The growth and development of plants may slow down, which will subsequently lead to a low yield. It is recommended to distribute the drug so that a small part is used for seed soaking and spraying, and a large part is used for watering under the root, that is, to nourish the root part of the plant.

To increase the yield factor, humates can be used in combination with other mineral components and microelements. The number of components of each individual such complex fertilizer depends on the specific crop and on the selected dressings. For example, you can use humus in combination with compost, manure and humus. Manure and compost contribute to the rapid growth of microorganisms, if they are treated with a humate solution approximately 2.5-3 months before use. For 10 kg of compost or manure, 10 g of humate will be required. Such a complex fertilizer is applied to the soil when digging or in liquid form when watering.

The drug consists of 80% of the main substance and is a concentrated dark brown liquid with a growth-stimulating effect. During the processing of natural peat, many useful substances were extracted, which are used in the preparation. These are potassium, numerous trace elements, as well as nitrogen and phosphorus. All these active organic substances are excellent plant nutrition and natural protection.

This fertilizer can be applied at all stages of plant development and applied by any means. The liquid must be diluted with water according to the attached instructions (for a single crop) and used for soaking planting material, spraying and root application, soaking seedlings.

An excellent effect is given by potassium humate peat as a means for soil nutrition. It helps to increase the organic components on the land. It must be applied in the form of a concentrated solution, using the manufacturer's recommendations. In combination with organic, chemical and mineral fertilizers, the effectiveness of the drug increases several times. There are no prohibitions for combining humate with potassium and nitrogen, but it is not recommended to mix it with phosphorus preparations. The newly formed compounds will not be able to dissolve with such mixing. Preparations that contain phosphorus must be applied separately from other fertilizers.

Mixing organics and chemicals should be done carefully if you are not sure of the final result. When mixing small doses of various elements, their reaction can be easily traced. When a homogeneous liquid is formed, fertilizer can be used, but when precipitation occurs, it cannot.

The method of foliar treatment with complex fertilizers (with potassium humate, pesticides and minerals) not only favorably affects the development of plants, but also significantly reduces the amount of nitrates and toxic substances in their composition.
