The device and connection of the purmo heating battery. Purmo radiators: technical characteristics of Finnish appliances. Delta Twin M Tall Radiators

Without high-quality radiators, it is impossible to create an efficient heating system. It is from this element that the rapid and uniform heating of the room depends. Finnish Purmo radiators have all the technical characteristics necessary to create a comfortable microclimate in the house.

Model range of Purmo radiators

Purmo products allow you to mount a heating system of any configuration. The company produces both tubular and panel radiators. In addition, the range includes heated towel rails, pipes, convectors and ventilation systems.

Purmo Compact

This is a basic model of a panel-type radiator with a profiled surface, which has 4 side holes with a ½ inch thread for supplying heating pipes. Products of this model are marked as follows - 11, 12, 22, 33. The first marking value indicates the number of panels along which the coolant moves, the second - the number of rows of internal U-shaped ribs to improve the convection effect. Accordingly, the larger the designation, the more powerful the device will be, but in this case its depth also increases.

Purmo Compact batteries are designed for use in one- and two-pipe closed heating systems. Depending on the model, the length of the radiator can be from 40 cm to 3 m, and the height - from 30 cm to 90 cm. Permissible pressure is 10 atm. Maximum temperature coolant - + 110 ° С.

If it is necessary to supply pipes from below, a model with bottom connection Ventil Compact, in which the inlets can be located on the left or right side radiators. When ordering by phone, this point must be clarified. The Ventil Compact M model has a bottom connection in the middle of the instrument.

All models with bottom connection are equipped with a thermostatic valve. It is configured in production. Additional adjustment is required in rare cases, if for any reason its operation is not satisfactory.

Purmo Plan Compact

The technical characteristics of this radiator are practically no different from the base model. The only difference is a smooth plate superimposed on a profiled panel and a higher cost.

It should be noted that in all models with a lower pipe supply, the coolant supply hole is on the left, and the coolant outlet hole is on the right.

Purmo Ramo Compact

In this model, as in the previous one, the profiled panel is covered with a plate, but it is not smooth, but made in the form of wide horizontal stripes. This solution emphasizes the strict design of the radiator and looks stylish in the interior of the room. The model has the possibility of side and bottom connection. Devices with a lower pipe supply are designated by the word Ventil. This model range includes the following types of radiators - 11, 21, 22, 33, 44. Devices are produced from 40 cm to 3 m long and from 20 cm to 50 cm high. Permissible pressure is up to 10 atm.

Purmo Hygiene

Special hygienic type of radiators without internal fins. When convection currents move along with them, dust particles rise, which then settle on the inner surface of the radiator. The absence of ribs facilitates the cleaning process of the device. The Hygiene model is recommended for installation in rooms where people with allergic diseases live, as well as in hospitals, kindergartens and other public places. In such radiators, the proportion of heat transferred by infrared radiation significantly exceeds convection heat transfer.

The lineup Hygiene includes 3 types of batteries - 10, 20, 30. All of them have modifications with Ventil bottom side connection and Ventil M in the center, as well as Plan Hygiene with a smooth overlay plate with all pipe supply options.

Purmo Vertical

Vertical radiators are designed for rooms with limited horizontal space, but which require a large thermal power. The device has 4 holes for lateral piping and 2 from the bottom center for bottom connection. Vertical radiators are available in the following types - 10, 20, 21, 22, width from 30 cm to 75 cm and height - from 1.5 m to 2.3 m. Permissible pressure up to 6 atm., Maximum coolant temperature - + 99 ° C .

This type of radiator belongs to the design type and is more suitable for country houses or apartments with autonomous heating system.

Purmo Air

Metal-plastic windows have good energy efficiency, but they must be periodically opened to ventilate the room, otherwise fresh air can cause you to feel unwell. The company's specialists took this problem into account and developed the Air model, which allows you to ventilate the room without opening the window.

The radiator is mounted on outer wall, a through hole is made nearby and a filter is installed. Passing through it cold air heats up from the radiator and dissipates throughout the room. This results in a miniature ventilation system with heating. Ventilation equipment is supplied with a radiator.

The line of Air models consists of devices of the type - 11, 22, 33, from 70 cm to 3 m long and from 30 cm to 75 cm wide. Permissible pressure - up to 6 atm., Permissible coolant temperature - + 110 ° С.

Delta Laserline

This model belongs to the tubular type of radiators, consisting of sections. The design of each section consists of two heads interconnected steel pipes. Depending on the model, the number of rows of pipes may be different. By welding, the sections are connected into a single radiator. In such a design, the quality of the welds plays an important role. For the manufacture of tubular radiators, laser welding is used, controlled by a computer system.

Delta Laserline models have the traditional shape used in these types of batteries, but in a slightly different design. Pipes are made not rounded, but in the shape of the letter D, due to which more efficient heat transfer is achieved with smaller dimensions.

The length of such batteries varies from 20 cm to 2.5 m, height from 15 cm to 3 m. It is possible to manufacture radiators of any height according to individual sizes. Permissible coolant temperature 120°С, at pressure up to 10 atm.

Also available is the Delta Twin M model, which has a similar design, only in a vertical version. It does not provide for the possibility of lateral connection - the supply of pipes is carried out from the bottom in the center. The model range consists of two batteries 50 cm and 60 cm long, height - from 1 m to 2 m.

Purmo Delta Bar

This radiator can be called truly exclusive. It can serve not only as a heating device, but also as a decorative table or even a bar counter. It can also be used as a room divider.

The inlet pipes are hidden from below in the legs and along appearance the device looks more like a designer table, and not like a heating radiator. The lid is not included in the scope of delivery, it will have to be ordered separately. The length of such a product without a countertop is from 70 cm to 1.1 m, height - from 75 cm to 90 cm. Permissible pressure is up to 10 atm., The maximum temperature is + 120 ° C.

Purmo Delta Column Bench

Another exclusive development of Purmo designers. At the same time, it can serve as a heating device and a decorative bench. As in the previous model, the inlet pipes are hidden in the legs, the difference lies only in the horizontal arrangement of the pipes. Base model painted in White color, but on an individual order it is possible to paint in any shade from the color palette. The length of such a "bench" is 1.5 m to 1.8 m, height - 20 cm to 35 cm. The maximum pressure is up to 10 atm., The permissible temperature of the coolant is +120 ° C.

It is worth noting that Purmo provides a 10-year warranty for all described models of radiators.

Advantages and disadvantages of Purmo radiators

For the manufacture of Purmo radiators, high-strength steel 1.25 mm thick is used. Products are painted according to the technology used in the automotive industry. Radiators are immersed in a container with a priming solution, and then a special paint is applied under the influence of an electrostatic field. This technology allows the coating to firmly adhere to the steel surface, which completely eliminates the possibility of peeling and swelling of the paint during temperature fluctuations. Products are painted in white, but there is the possibility of painting on an individual order. To choose a color, the customer is provided with a palette of 700 shades.

Purmo products have a wide range advantages:

  • effective heat transfer due to natural convection and infrared thermal radiation;
  • simplicity of design ensures a long service life, since there is simply nothing to break in the device;
  • various options for supplying heating pipes allow the installation of radiators in any conditions;
  • Purmo radiators are light in weight and do not require massive brackets for installation;
  • due to the small internal volume of the devices, high efficiency of the heating system as a whole is achieved;
  • the cost of metal radiators is much cheaper than similar aluminum products;
  • the aesthetic appearance of the radiators harmoniously fits into the interior of any room;
  • Purmo radiators have a universal design that allows them to be used in one- and two-pipe heating systems;
  • high-quality paint and varnish coating reliably protects the outer surface of radiators from corrosion;
  • It is possible to choose a color in accordance with the design of the room.

Disadvantages of Purmo radiators:

  • in district heating systems, service providers on summer period the coolant is drained, if air enters the device, the metal may corrode.
  • due to the presence a large number welded seams, radiators do not withstand water hammer, which limits their use in heating systems operating under high pressure.

Purmo controls the quality of products at all stages of production and is constantly looking for ways to improve products. All Purmo products are standardized and certified.

PURMO Compact C 22

Panel steel radiators PURMO PURMO Compact C 22, equipped with convection elements, the side surfaces are securely closed with protective elements, top part radiators is closed with a grill-type bar. The steel radiator has four side connection holes in each corner of the radiator with internal thread G1/2". This arrangement of holes allows connecting a panel radiator with three possible ways- lateral connection, diagonal and saddle. So we can choose the most suitable option connections.

Side connection

This is the most popular solution, allowing half-connection of radiators both on the right and on the left. The feed pipe must be connected to the upper radiator fitting, and the return pipe to the lower one. Connecting the other way around will reduce the heat output of the radiator by more than 30%.

Cross connection.

Recommended for radiators longer than 2,000 mm, and also for those whose length is four times the height. The supply pipe must be connected to the right or left top connection, and the return pipe to the opposite bottom connection. Connecting the other way around will reduce the heat output of the radiator by more than 30%.

Saddle connection.

Most often used in radiators type "C", when the central heating system is located in the floor. It can also be used in H type radiators, and after the thermostatic valve has been removed, also in CV and HV type radiators. With this type of connection, the heat transfer of the radiator will be approximately 10% lower than the nominal one.

Hydraulic data Purmo Compact C 22

The resistance to the flow of water through a radiator depends on the flow of its mass.

For single-panel radiators type C11 and H10, the pressure drop in the radiator is described by the formula:

Δp = 0.0160 * q2
Kv = 2.5 m3/h

For multi-panel radiators such as C21s, C22 and C33, as well as H20 and H30, the pressure drop in the radiator is described by the formula:

Δp= 0.0105 * q2
Kv = 3.1 m3/h
where:
Δp is the resistance to the flow of water through the radiator, expressed in pascals
q is the mass flow of water passing through the radiator, expressed in kilograms per hour

Type V and PV radiators are equipped with a built-in thermostatic cock, and therefore their hydraulic characteristics are determined for the set of radiator with cock.

Well-known not only in Finland, but also in Russia, the manufacturer of heating devices of the Purmo brand (Purmo) manufactures panel steel radiators in accordance with international and European standards, including ISO 9001. Varieties of manufactured products make it possible to equip heating in any residential and non-residential type, regardless of the type of wiring.

Steel Finnish radiators Purmo Compact are in high demand among Russian consumers due to their reliability and convenience.

  • Purmo Compact C (with side connection).
  • Purmo Ventil Compact VKO (with side and bottom connection; with built-in thermostatic valve).
  • Purmo Hygiene P (with lateral connection). There are no convection elements in the model.
  • Purmo Ventil Hygiene PV (side and bottom connection, thermostat). There are no elements of convection.
  • Purmo Planora Plan DF (with side and bottom connection).

Purmo Planora differs from other models, first of all, externally. The "Purmo Planora" radiator is painted with a special structural paint, thanks to which the smooth surface of the radiator acquires an effective texture, reminiscent of orange peel. Snow-white radiators RAL-9016 are especially beautiful.

Basic specifications and features

The side surfaces are protected by special safety elements, the upper surface is closed with a bar. Two bottom holes for connection at floor level and four side holes. All holes are threaded G 1/2″. The battery looks modern and even somewhere stylish.

Purmo Hygiene radiators are panel radiators without convection and safety elements, mainly intended for use in medical facilities, as well as the food industry, and at other facilities with increased hygiene requirements. Side holes in each corner of the radiator threaded inside G1/2

All heating elements of the Purmo brand are made of 1.25 mm cold-rolled steel, and only the Planora series has wall thicknesses up to 2 mm.

The metal parts of the device are painted with high technology second generation cataphoresis, electrostatic spraying.

This greatly improves corrosion resistance. At the final stage, the products are covered with snow-white epoxy enamel (according to the RAL-9016 scale), but on an individual order, a batch of goods can be painted in any shade.

During the manufacturing process, radiators are specially tested for tightness by creating strong pressure in the system, up to 12 atmospheres. It is important that the complete drain of the coolant from the battery is excluded. During operation of radiators, its losses should not exceed 10%. So, if it is necessary to repair some limited section of the heating system, you should drain the water only from the repaired segment, but not empty the entire system.

For device effective system for heating both private houses and apartments in multi-storey buildings, Purmo radiators are used to distribute heat at the final stage of the heating process. They are the ideal solution for systems district heating in terms of technical, economic and hygienic solution. Auto-adjustment devices, which are equipped with all modern house heating systems, work very fruitfully with the devices of this company, due to their low inertia and small volumes of liquid.

The advantage of Purmo radiators is that they respond very quickly and efficiently to signals. automatic control, differ rapid heating and cooling after work. The only rejection for the installation of flat appliances are rooms with indicators high humidity air, but such a limitation is considered for models with no special anti-corrosion surface protection.

Today determines the popularity of Purmo radiators as the highest quality and most reliable devices for installation in heating systems. They are equally relevant for heating domestic and industrial premises. Flat batteries have such a variety of designs and specifications that it is very easy to pick it up in accordance with any design decision. For ease of installation, models are available with side and bottom connection, different depths, lengths and heights.

Radiators are perfect, since they allow a working pressure of up to 10 atmospheres, while flat devices are tested at a pressure of 12 atmospheres, they receive a margin of safety. For heating small and large areas, respectively, flat heaters of the required power can be selected.

The name of Purmo radiators comes from the name of a small town where the production of radiators began at the first factory. Further cooperation between manufacturers was continued with the Rettig concern, which paved the way for the sale of radiators abroad. Since then, large production facilities for the production of flat batteries have been opened in Germany, Poland and Finland. Whole modern world appreciated the quality of the batteries, and they enter the markets of about 20 countries. In Russia, flat radiators have also gained popularity due to their well-proven reliability and efficiency at a very reasonable price, respectively.

Purmo radiators are made from modern cold rolled steel alloys with low carbon content. To give the outer surface beauty and shine, as well as to protect against corrosion, two layers of varnish are applied to flat products, which is very durable in operation. For coating, the cataphoresis method is used, which is a guarantee of the invariance of the color and integrity of the film. In flat radiators, the convection system is very well thought out, which allows them to be used in different rooms at no extra cost.

Design features of Purmo radiators

For the manufacture of batteries, steel is suitable in many ways, it is a flexible and malleable material, with high strength it is easily connected by welding, its manufacturability has long been tested in various products of the heating system. Steel Panel Batteries are made in two types:

  • tubular radiators;
  • panel varieties of flat batteries.

panel type

First, blanks are made for the manufacture of the device. Two flat steel girders are connected by contact welding along the contour for a strong bond. Two or three of these resulting panels are stamped together when making the device. Inside, oval cavities-passages are obtained for moving the heating fluid. The finished parts are attached to each other using nozzles.

To improve heat dissipation from the inside, U-shaped ribs are placed on the panels, which are made of thinner steel than plates. This design successfully increases convection. The complex connection of several plates is covered from the outside with a special casing.

Varieties of Purmo panel heating radiators depend on the number of connected converter and heating plates inside the flat device. Owners of private houses most prefer to install Purmo flat radiators with only air heating function, without converter communication. Such panel radiators are small in thickness, which makes it possible to mount them without reducing the usable area of the room.

Purmo tubular radiators

These models are classified as tubular products if the core of the heating panel device is pipes welded together and is also a body. In the manufacture of such a radiator is more complex than the panel type, but there are a large variety of models. Consumers most often prefer the choice of the classic common option, when the radiator looks like old cast-iron models, but there are many more passages inside to move the heating fluid.

Radiator price Purmo is quite significant, this type can be classified as an elite model and cannot be called a budget one. Designers working on a grand scale of creative thought in tandem with a flight of fancy can afford original design, where the panel radiator will be the highlight of an expensive interior.

Technical characteristics of Purmo radiators

The process of heat transfer can occur in this brand of batteries in two ways:

  • heat radiation directly into the room;
  • use of convection for heat transfer.

If we talk about the heat transfer index, then it varies over a fairly wide range, but even the worst of the representatives are quite effective in work. The heat capacity can be displayed in the range from 1100 to 1900 watts. This data is produced by the type of panel instrument used, its overall dimensions and brand. A special valuable quality of panel appliances is the ability to heat up very quickly and begin to give off heat.

If we talk about the pressure that Purmo radiator models can withstand, then the indicators will also differ. Panel models do not withstand high pressure in the network, its limit is expressed in the ability to withstand the pressure in 8 atmospheres. This figure is reduced due to insufficient ductility of steel alloys.

As for tubular panel radiators, their ability to withstand high pressures, up to 15 atmospheres, makes them suitable for use in the centralized urban heating system, which is famous for its high operating pressure.

An indicator for the use of Purmo radiators is the ability to resist internal corrosion, depending on the type of coolant. Steel cannot withstand prolonged impact with water and air.

It is not recommended to install radiators made of steel alloys in centralized system city heating. In these conditions there is a constant drain water heating resource in summer. After such a procedure, when the air collides with the moisture remaining inside, the process of rusting begins very quickly.

However, manufacturers do not give up and try to cover the internal cavities with special protective compounds. Naturally, the price of such models will be slightly higher than standard internal processing. The durability of Purmo radiators is also affected by the temperature of the coolant, which, according to technological parameters, cannot exceed 120ºС.

Distance between connection axes and dimensions

This indicator includes distance between upper and lower collectors. This indicator is especially important for panel radiators with the possibility of lateral connection. For models with a bottom connection, this parameter is not defined.

Steel flat radiators, depending on the model, can be connected in compliance with the center distance in the range from 55 to 75 cm. As for tubular-type radiators, this indicator ranges from 12 to 30 cm.

  • for flat radiators, the height is 20–90 cm, and the length can be up to three meters;
  • tubular models are unlimited in length, height from 20 to 30 cm, thickness does not exceed 23 cm.

In the manufacture of flat and tubular radiators, steel of various thicknesses. Naturally, devices with a larger wall thickness will have a longer service life, and others technical indicators will be raised. For production, steels with a thickness of 1.15 to 1.3 mm can be used. Increasing the strength of the radiator by using a thicker wall will entail an increase in price.

Positive aspects of Purmo radiators

disadvantages

  • the main omission of technologists is the susceptibility of the steel alloy to corrosion and rust, which most quickly begins to spread under conditions of internal air exposure;
  • looking at the technical indicators of steel flat radiators, we can say that they cannot withstand hydraulic shocks due to the large number of welds. This limits the use of Purmo radiators only for small autonomous heating systems.

Radiator connection options

After choosing the model, class and type of radiator, you should determine how the devices are connected to heating system private house. Connection system subdivided into one-pipe and two-pipe:

  • lateral connection in a two-pipe system;
  • bottom connection in a two-pipe system;
  • lateral connection in a one-pipe system;
  • bottom connection in a single-pipe system;
  • thermostatic valve or valve application.

Briefly about the one-pipe system

The single-pipe system refers to the type of system when water is pumped up under pressure to the last floors, and then through other pipes it enters the lower floors. At the same time, it simultaneously passes through all the heating registers installed on the way. On the lower floors there is temperature difference towards decreasing.

If you try to adjust the water supply, it will not bring significant changes. It is not recommended to install pipes of a larger cross section, as this will lead to a decrease in the coolant flow in the riser.

Two-pipe system

The principle of such a system is that in it water enters through one pipe, and its output is carried out through another. Parallel connected heating appliances to the stands. With such a system, there is no difference in water temperature on different floors, heating is the same. The system was most often used in buildings of the old formation, in those housing constructions with a low number of storeys.

Currently, such a two-pipe system is used when installing heating in elite cottages and individual modern housing construction. Such a system is quite acceptable in industrial premises and commercial buildings.

The use of Purmo panel and tubular radiators in the heating system is justified by quality and reliability, the price of such devices is affordable for all segments of the population.

How to choose the power of the radiator to the area of \u200b\u200bthe room?

For single-family houses, we offer one- and two-panel PURMO radiators. If the network is laid in the walls of the building, it is necessary to use side-fed radiators - typ C. If the network is laid in the floor, radiators with a supply from below - typ CV can be used. The height of the radiators depends on the distance from the window sill to the floor - the lower edge of the radiator must be at least 10 cm from the floor, the upper edge - at least 10 cm from the window sill. The length of the radiator is determined by the heat demand for space heating. The heat demand must be calculated by the plumbing designer.

These calculations are attached to most finished projects, and as a rule, they are absent in individual projects. If we do not have calculations, we can use a very simplified method of selecting radiators based on the footage of the premises. This method is fraught with significant errors. In general, the heat requirement is between 60 and 200 W/m2. In houses with good thermal insulation k = 0.3 W/m2K (10 cm polystyrene foam in multi-layer walls or single-layer walls like YTONG type 400 with a thickness of 36.5 cm), the need will be 60 W/m2 for two-storey houses or houses with a residential attic and 70 W / m2 - for one-story houses. In houses without insulation, k = 1.2-1.5 W / m2K, the need will be 130-140 W / m2 for two-story houses or houses with a residential attic and 150-200 W / m2 for one-story houses.

When selecting radiators from the table, it is necessary to take into account the design parameters of the water in the system central heating and related correction factors. If the system is powered by an outboard gas boiler, then it will work at 80/60°C or 75/65°C - we select radiators directly from the table.
For parameters other than the standard ones, for example 90/70°C, we take a correction factor of 0.8 from the factor table and multiply it by the heat demand.
Below we present a scheme for selecting a radiator in a system operating at 90/70°C:
Room 15 m2 in a house with a residential attic
Wall insulation - polystyrene foam 5 cm thick.
The source of heat is a suspended gas boiler.
The distance from the floor to the window sill is 85 cm.
Window width - 90 cm.
Q = m2 x 90 W/m2 x 0.8 = 1080 W.

We can choose the C11 6011 radiator - a single-panel radiator 60 cm high and 110 cm long, or C21s 6009 - a two-panel slim-type radiator with one convector, 60 cm high and 80 cm long, or C22 6007 - a two-panel radiator with two convectors 60 cm high cm and 70 cm long.
The length of the selected radiator must not exceed the width of the window, so it is necessary to choose between C21s 6009 and C22 6007 - the choice may be determined by aesthetic considerations.

More detailed calculation can be obtained from managers-consultants.
