The locksmith profession is predominantly male. You don't need to have it to get it. higher education, it will be enough secondary-special. Few enterprises, whose work depends on the serviceability of production equipment, can do without technical specialists, in particular, a mechanic to repair it.

This determines the advantages of this specialty: the availability of stable wages at the average level, or above it, the constant demand in the labor market. In addition, by improving his qualifications, a locksmith can achieve a better position, increasing the ranks at the beginning, and then becoming the head of the link.

List of duties performed

The nature of the tasks solved in the work process depends on the category of the employee and his specialization. So in plumbing, the level of qualification is indicated by the assigned category. It depends on the level of practical knowledge and experience. There are six of them in total, where the easiest tasks are performed by repairmen of the first category. In some workshops that use experimental and experimental equipment, it is possible to assign the 7th and 8th category.

Special attention deserves such a qualification as a rolling stock repairman. These specialists work not just with production equipment, machine tools and machines. A rolling stock repairman is engaged in the repair of wagons and locomotives, as well as troubleshooting their parts and eliminating the detected malfunctions.

The tasks that repairmen of industrial equipment, machine tools and other things perform in the course of their professional activities are somewhat different. Their activity is more narrowly focused, focused on the maintenance of machines and mechanisms of a certain type.

  • It requires skills to restore parts that have undergone mechanical and physical wear.
  • The specialist must have knowledge of the purpose and characteristics of liquids intended for flushing and lubricating components and assemblies.

Based on the required knowledge, it is possible to determine the nature of the work and the operations performed by the repairman of the rolling stock.

It is important that a worker involved in the maintenance, repair of locomotives and wagons, their elements must have good eyesight and hearing. And also have flexible hands. Such requirements are formed from the specifics of the work processes performed.

Just like industrial equipment fitters, rolling stock repairers have a degree of qualification, indicated by the corresponding categories.

Tasks solved by mechanics of industrial equipment and requirements for them

Job Responsibilities I mean the performance of such functions as assembly and dismantling, maintenance and repair of parts of mechanisms, their components and assemblies, the selection of spare parts required for this. In the course of their professional activities, the specialists of this link also perform the processing and sharpening of the necessary parts, and carry out preventive work.

Based on this list of operations performed in the workflow, a list of requirements for candidates for the position of a repairman is formed.

Repairman 2nd discharge performs the functions of repair and maintenance of simple mechanisms, assemblies and mechanisms. If it is necessary to carry out work with parts of medium complexity, they are carried out under the supervision of a more qualified employee. It is allowed to perform work with the use of electrical and pneumatic equipment.

The requirements for the workers of this link include knowledge of the basic principles of assembly and disassembly operations of units and assemblies, the purpose and methods of using precision measuring instruments, physical properties materials used in the course of work.

Workers of the 3rd category perform operations on locksmith processing of parts, prefabricated and dismantled work of units and assemblies of medium complexity. As well as repair and test work with various mechanisms and elements.

Due to the nature of the tasks performed, such requirements apply to workers in this category as knowledge of the principles of the device and operation of the equipment being repaired. Also technologies for assembly and disassembly operations. The employee must know the physical properties of the materials being processed.

Responsibilities of a 4th category repairman equipment. It implies carrying out installation and dismantling work in the units and assemblies of these mechanisms, commissioning. A repairman of this qualification must draw up defective sheets for equipment. Also, professional duties include the manufacture of devices for repair and installation work.

And also have the skills to conduct tests for balancing a static and dynamic nature. It is important that the employee can determine the presence of premature wear of equipment elements and eliminate it using reinforcements and protective coatings.

Professional responsibilities mechanic-repairmen of the 6th and higher categories. At the same time, they apply to complex large-sized and experimental equipment. For example, a repairman of this skill level should be able to work with supercentrifuges, CNC machines, hydraulic and steam-hydraulic presses, and others.

seventh and eighth qualifying category is assigned only when working in those shops that use unique and experimental equipment in their work.

According to the principle described above, as the complexity of the operations performed, qualifications are assigned to rolling stock repairmen.
