Undoubtedly, the bed is the main compositional center of the room, placing it correctly means doing half the battle. It can be located across or along a long wall. The first option is preferable for wider rooms, since then there may not be room for movement. But such a layout will save the area for other items.

The second option is practically the only solution for small bedrooms. But it must be remembered that at least 70 cm should remain between the bed and the partition on both sides. The presence of one resident will simplify the situation, since then you can leave the passage only on one side, and put the bed close to the wall.
