Regular readers of the magazine "Consumer. Household Appliances" probably know that we have such a column - "With Your Own Eyes". In it, we talk about trips to factories where equipment is produced.

In the last decade there have been many such trips, after all, many new industries have been launched in Russia.

In 2000, the Indesit Company bought the Stinol plant in Lipetsk. On April 1, 2010, the 20 millionth product rolled off the assembly line of the plant. Indesit and Hotpoint-Ariston refrigerators are made here.

In March 2004, TekhPromInvest LLC, a plant producing Snaige refrigerators, was opened in the Kaliningrad region. However, it did not survive the crisis and was closed in February 2009.

The year 2006 became the most "productive" year for the factories. In September, a plant was opened in the Ruzsky district of the Moscow region. The owner is LG Electronics. In October, the Beko plant in the city of Kirzhach, Vladimir Region, was launched. At the same time, the official opening of the Vestel plant took place, where up to 550,000 refrigerators are produced per year.

In June 2007, in Strelna, near St. Petersburg, a plant of the company BSH Household Appliances LLC was opened. In the summer of 2010, it launched the second production line for Bosch and Siemens refrigerators. Every year, 500,000 units are produced here.

In addition, refrigerators of foreign brands are also assembled at some Russian factories: for example, in Ussuriysk, at the Okean plant, some Daewoo models are produced, and even Side-by-Side refrigerators are assembled. At the factories "Biryusa" and Federal State Unitary Enterprise "PO" Plant im. Sergo produces Akai models.
