In a nutshell - these are two types of luminous paints, different in properties. These are luminescent and fluorescent paints (I constantly confuse which one is which)). Some gain light, such as phosphor ones, and after that they glow in the dark for a short time, depending on the charge. Others appear to be pure fluorescent - white paint (pigment itself, powder) and glow different colors when exposed to ultraviolet light. As for the UV lamp, it is not necessary to buy it in a special company store, I found exactly the same one 2-3 times cheaper in the construction market in electrical goods.

As for the colors themselves glowing in the dark (they are also called fluorescent paint, phosphor, luminous, self-luminous paint), then I advise you to take only green (blue or yellowish-greenish glow) and only transparent in daylight. All other colors practically do not glow in the dark - this luminous pigment is mixed with different colors to create a large selection for sale, in fact they are of no use. Also, for this paint, it is better to install a UV lamp for charging in advance. Otherwise, in my opinion, the point in using them also disappears, tk. having gained light during the day from the window, they gradually dim and by the time the night falls and the light in the room turns off, they barely glow.

As for fluorescent paints, those that actively glow when exposed to UV light. Then it also makes sense to buy them and use only colorless transparent ones. All colored people have a vigorous bright color which is suitable only for clubs and discos.
Both of these paints consist of a pigment (white or greenish powder) that is mixed with an adhesive base - these are most often acrylic or acrylate varnishes, etc. With large volumes, it makes sense to buy the powder in its pure form and use the necessary varnishes as a binder.
