We all remember the famous UFO crash in Roswell in 1947, the mystery of which has not yet been solved. Here we will talk about a no less mysterious event - a UFO crash in the Baltic Sea, and the object is still there, at the bottom, but first things first.
On June 19, 2011, a group of Swedish treasure hunters led by Peter Lindberg searched for sunken ships at the bottom of the Baltic Sea in the Gulf of Bothnia between Sweden and Finland (Fig. 1). While scanning the seabed with an echo sounder, she discovered a mysterious disk-shaped object at a depth of 92 m. Its diameter was 18 m, its height was about 3-4 m (Fig. 2).
As soon as this became known to the public, many inquisitive minds came to the conclusion that this object was a UFO crash, shaped like the well-known Millennium Falcon starship from the Star Wars movie (Fig. 3). Peter Lindberg himself, who had been an ardent skeptic all his life, was very surprised by his find, but he still denied the version of its extraterrestrial origin.
Scientists, bloggers, ufologists and other thinkers put forward completely different hypotheses about the origin of the object, but in general four can be distinguished: a natural formation that arose as a result of volcanic activity, a ship or submarine from the Cold War, some kind of structure built by our distant ancestors, the so-called " New Stonehenge”, and the most interesting one is the crashed UFO.
The well-known researcher of anomalous phenomena, the head of the ONIO Kosmopoisk, Vadim Chernobrov, believes that “Several ships of a round shape sailed in the Baltic at one time, projects were carried out to create disk-shaped underwater antennas ... However, here it is necessary to take into account the size: for a ship, the detected object is small, and for the antennas are too big."
Version about natural origin he also denies, because "in the long years of echolocation, neither I nor other researchers have ever come across objects of such a regular round shape." In addition, as Peter Lindberg himself noted, there have never been volcanoes in the Baltic Sea, which excludes the volcanic origin of the object.
As for the version of the “New Stonehenge”, according to Vadim Chernobrov, “the great depth at which this “thing” is now located indicates that this piece of land should have sunk under water millions of years ago, when there was simply no one else on The earth had to create any artificial structures.

The Swedish military has repeatedly tried to sink "enemy" underwater vehicles with depth charges. Vadim Chernobov suggests that the military managed to shoot down one object, and the underwater UFO damaged by the explosion of depth charges, having plowed a 300-meter furrow, remained lying in the depths.
Versions by versions, but it's better to see once. In early June 2012, the Ocean X research team from Sweden made a second expedition to the mysterious object. Initially, many of its participants were skeptical, suggesting that this was an ordinary stone. However, the results of the expedition gave more questions than answers. Professional divers, who have twenty years of experience in exploring the depths of the seas and oceans, for the first time encountered the inexplicable: when approaching an object, satellite phones and some cameras stop working, and when the divers returned, the devices again worked normally.
Despite all the difficulties, in particular the terrible weather conditions and the murky waters of the Baltic Sea, where visibility was only a few feet, experienced divers still managed to film the object, as well as collect samples.
The surface of the object visually resembled concrete as on the foundation of underwater structures. Such divers have seen more than once. The radiation exposure of samples from the facility was 20 times higher than normal, but still not dangerous.
In shape, it resembles a large mushroom with rounded sides and edges, which rises three to four meters above the seabed (Fig. 6). Above there is an egg-shaped hole and strange formations - stone rings, similar to the hearths of people of the Stone Age, covered with "soot" (Fig. 7).

The object itself is located on top of a stone column of smaller diameter, thus the whole "construction" resembles a mushroom or a champagne cork. Whether the stone, the column below it, and the stone ring is a monolith or whether they are genetically different remains to be seen in the future.
While sailing over the surface of the object, the radio-controlled submersibles discovered an incomprehensible round hole approximately 10 inches in diameter from which water was streaming outward (Fig. 8).

To the question "what is it?" and "where did he come from?" the expedition members could not give a definite answer. Peter Lindbergh stated in an interview that he and his team had never seen such a huge object with such straight lines, shapes and smooth surfaces. In any case, it looks like man-made.
In the next expedition, it is planned to collect data, according to which a 3-D model of the object will be made, but for now, according to detailed descriptions and sketches by Peter Lindbergh, the artist Waghauk depicted the second version of the alleged shape of the object (Fig. 9).

According to members of the research team of the Swedish company Ocean X Team, which studied the find, electronic chronometers, cameras and satellite phones stop working near the object. “Only when we sailed 200 meters away from the object did they start functioning again. As soon as they swam closer again, the devices turned off again, ”the words of one of the expedition members.
Continuing to investigate the mysterious object and examining the data obtained from the scanning sonar, some researchers have concluded that it may be a top-secret Nazi base that has anti-submarine weapons.
Anders AUTELLUS, a former Swedish naval officer, suggested that the 200 by 25-foot structure could serve to block the signals of Russian and British submarines moving in the area during World War II. After examining rock samples collected at the site of the discovery of a mysterious object, Bruchert claims that the samples handed over to him turned out to be pieces of ordinary basalt, a rock of volcanic origin. The scientist suggests that basalt was once brought to this place by a glacier, and after the ice melted, it ended up at the bottom of a new sea. According to the professor, it was the northern part of the Baltic floor that was affected by these processes. So both these rock samples and the object itself most likely ended up at the bottom as a result of the melting of glaciers. And the fact that the basalt acquired an unusual shape is explained by the fact that “... huge ice massifs contained fragments of rocks. These stones traveled thousands of kilometers with glaciers and settled where they found the end of the Ice Age. Quite often, as a result, bizarre formations were formed from these debris, even similar to “flying saucers”.
True, the geologist could not explain why the “rock fragments” also jammed the electronics.
During the following expeditions, scuba divers managed to break off a particle from a strange object, on which traces of burnt material were found. Research on this specimen was carried out at the Weizmann Institute and the Institute of Archeology at Tel Aviv University. In the report, the scientists indicated that they were puzzled when they discovered materials that are "most likely to be found in modern construction, or, for example, in a shipwreck."
According to the latest news appearing in the press and on the Web, American experts have studied an underwater 60-meter object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Based on the fact that the sample presented by him, of which the anomaly consists, contains a metal that nature cannot produce, they came to the conclusion that it is of alien origin and may well be a UFO.

So, although over the years more and more information about an unidentified object appears and despite many versions and studies, the “Baltic anomaly” still remains a mystery, its origin is still unknown. What the object actually is is still not clear.

When this find was first announced, it was immediately given the color of some kind of fantastic story made up by conspiracy theorists. However, this is not fiction, the object really exists, but, unfortunately, the governments of this planet do not want us to know more about what is really happening.
Two divers, Denis Asberg and Peter Lindbergh descended into the dark sea depths to study an unknown object. The data they found was incredible. They not only saw the long trail left by the huge object, but also its incredibly straight and smooth walls, as well as what appeared to be a staircase leading to an upper level landing. They also discovered an entrance that had a perfectly symmetrical oval shape.
“The surface is cracked and you can see the black material that fills the cracks, but we don't know what kind of material it is,” said Peter Lindbergh.
Two divers in 20 years of underwater exploration have never seen such an incredible sight. They reported that the size of this object can be compared to the length of a passenger plane. The researchers noted that the trail leading to an unknown object suggests that some kind of catastrophe occurred here, and the object slid along the seabed.
The age of dark deposits collected from the surface of an unknown object was about 14 thousand years. This discovery has led historians to suggest that the object is related to some advanced ancient civilization, such as the Sumerians or the Incas.
