Biography

Born September 23, 1942 in the village. Dergachi (currently an urban-type settlement) in the Saratov region in a military hospital, where his mother worked as a nurse. Mathematics fascinated him in the 1st grade, the first teacher Natalya Grigorievna. After graduation, he studied at the Saratov Pedagogical Institute, after which he served in the army. Yuri Vasilievich has been teaching mathematics and computer science for more than 40 years, mainly at secondary school No. 78 in Volgograd (since 1965). He has the highest qualification category for the position of "Teacher", for the last 15 years Yu. V. Lepekhin has been working in classes with in-depth study of mathematics.

Methodology

In his work, Lepekhin uses the method he improved by V. F. Shatalov, an innovative teacher from Donetsk, a people's teacher of the USSR. The method of Yu. V. Lepekhin is, first of all, a concise manner of presenting and teaching the material, as well as an informal understanding of the essence of the subject, interest in innovation and faith in the student. Yu. V. Lepekhin's graphic notes distinguish different colors, selectively influencing the perception of students and the lapidary style of presentation. According to Yu. V. Lepekhin, “the value of mathematics is that it gives unique opportunity cultivate ingenuity, ingenuity, resourcefulness, perseverance in the search original solution, in that it awakens thought and calls for the accuracy and validity of reasoning.

Lepekhin Yury Vasilievich - teacher of the municipal educational institution"Secondary school No. 78" of the city of Volgograd.

Born on September 23, 1942 in the village of Dergachi (now - an urban-type settlement of the Dergachevsky district of the Saratov region) in an evacuation hospital, where his mother worked as a nurse. Even in the first grade of school, he became interested in mathematics. After graduating from high school, he entered the Saratov Pedagogical Institute, after graduating from which he served in the Soviet Army.

In 1964, having retired from the army to the reserve, he came to work at a school as a mathematics teacher. Since 1965 - a teacher of mathematics at the secondary school No. 78 in the city of Volgograd. His teaching experience in the education system is 50 years, and 49 of them he worked at school No. 78. He has the highest qualification category for the position of "teacher", for the last 15 years he has been working in classes with in-depth study of mathematics. He has high professional qualities, is distinguished by the broadest outlook, has a clear civic position based on the awareness of the importance of pedagogical work.

Working in mathematical classes, he achieves great success in teaching mathematics and computer science. Especially successful is the combination of mathematics and computer science. These two subjects mutually enrich each other, which gives a great effect in teaching. Separate topics that are studied in the lessons of algebra and geometry (“Divisibility of natural numbers”, “Geometric transformations”, “Combinatorics”, “Graph theory”) find their logical application in programs implemented in computer science lessons.

The successful study of informatics is greatly helped by the classes of students in the correspondence school of physics and technology at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. In each mathematical class, more than half of the students combine school lessons with lessons in correspondence school. At the same time, the emphasis is on the search for non-standard and original solutions to problems.

It has a high theoretical and methodological level, ensures the effectiveness of each lesson, rationally uses the richest arsenal of pedagogical tools: a differentiated and individual approach to learning, the creation of problem situations, an atmosphere of creative search, technical means training, programmed aids. Each of his lessons contributes to the formation of personality, provides in unity and interconnection the teaching, developing and educating functions of the lesson, forms positive motives for learning, the need to acquire knowledge.

In his work, he uses the method he improved by V. Yu. V. Lepekhin's graphic notes are distinguished by different colors that selectively affect the perception of students and the lapidary style of presentation. According to him, the value of mathematics is that it "provides a unique opportunity to cultivate ingenuity, ingenuity, resourcefulness, perseverance in the search for an original solution", that it "awakens thought and calls for the accuracy and validity of reasoning."

Among its graduates are dozens of winners of All-Union and All-Russian mathematical Olympiads and competitions. Only in 2013, 16 of its graduates at once scored from 90 to 99 points on a single state exam(USE) in mathematics and computer science, and 4 more students received the highest score of 100 points.

Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 20, 2014 for special labor services to the state and people Lepekhin Yuri Vasilievich was awarded the title of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation with the award of a special distinction - the gold medal "Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation".

Lives and works in Volgograd.

People's Teacher of the Russian Federation (11.05.2009), Honored School Teacher of the RSFSR. He was awarded the Order of Honor (12/06/1996), the Soviet Orders of Lenin (08/20/1986), the Red Banner of Labor, and Russian medals.

An excerpt characterizing Lepekhin, Yuri Vasilyevich

Inside it turned out to be so stunning that Stella and I literally froze in a stupor, opening our mouths like starved one-day-old chicks, unable to utter a word ...
There was no, as they say, "floor" in the palace... Everything that was there floated in the sparkling silvery air, creating the impression of sparkling infinity. Some fantastic "seats", similar to groups of sparkling dense clouds accumulated in heaps, swaying smoothly, hung in the air, then, condensing, then almost disappearing, as if attracting attention and inviting them to sit down ... Silvery "ice" flowers, glittering and shimmering, they decorated everything around, striking with a variety of shapes and patterns of the finest, almost jewelry-like petals. And somewhere very high in the “ceiling”, blinding with sky-blue light, huge ice “icicles” of incredible beauty hung, turning this fabulous “cave” into a fantastic “ice world”, which seemed to have no end ...
- Come on, my guests, grandfather will be incredibly glad to see you! - smoothly sliding past us, the girl said warmly.
And then I finally understood why she seemed unusual to us - as the stranger moved, a sparkling “tail” of some special blue matter stretched behind her all the time, which shone and twisted like tornadoes around her fragile figure, crumbling behind her. her silver dust...
We did not have time to be surprised at this, when we immediately saw a very tall, gray-haired old man, proudly sitting on a strange, very beautiful chair, as if emphasizing his importance for those who did not understand. He quite calmly watched our approach, not at all surprised and not yet expressing any emotions, except for a warm, friendly smile.
The white, iridescent silver, flowing clothes of the old man merged with the same, completely white, long hair, making him look like a good spirit. And only the eyes, as mysterious as those of our beautiful stranger, shocked us with boundless patience, wisdom and depth, making us shudder from the infinity through them...
- You will be healthy, guests! the old man greeted kindly. - What brought you to us?
- And hello to you, grandfather! Stella greeted happily.
And then, for the first time in the entire time of our already rather long acquaintance, I was surprised to hear that she finally addressed someone as “you” ...
Stella had a very funny way of addressing everyone as “you”, as if emphasizing that all the people she met, whether they were adults or completely still kids, were her good old friends, and that for each of them she had a “wide open” the soul is open ... Which, of course, instantly and completely disposed to it even the most closed and the most lonely people, and only very callous souls did not find a way to it.
“Why is it so cold here?” - Immediately, out of habit, questions rained down. – I mean, why do you have such an “icy” color everywhere?
The girl looked at Stella in surprise.
“I never thought about it…” she said thoughtfully. - Probably because we had enough heat for the rest of our lives? We were burned on Earth, you see...
- How - burned ?!. Stella stared at her dumbfounded. - Really burned? .. - Well, yes. It's just that I was a Witch there - I knew a lot ... Like my whole family. Here is grandfather - he is Vedun, and mother, she was the strongest Vidunya at that time. This means that she saw what others could not see. She saw the future just as we see the present. And the past, too... And in general, she could and knew a lot - no one knew so much. And ordinary people apparently hated this - they did not like too many "knowers" ... Although, when they needed help, they turned to us. And we helped... And then those whom we helped betrayed us...
The girl-witch with darkened eyes looked somewhere into the distance, for a moment not seeing or hearing anything around, leaving in some distant world known to her alone. Then, shivering, she twitched her fragile shoulders, as if remembering something very terrible, and quietly continued:
“So many centuries have passed, and I still feel how the flames are consuming me... That’s probably why it’s “cold” here, as you say, dear,” the girl finished, already addressing Stella.
“But you can’t be a Witch in any way!” Stella stated confidently. - Witches are old and scary, and very bad. So it is written in our fairy tales that my grandmother read to me. And you are good! And so beautiful!..
“Well, fairy tales are different…” the girl-witch smiled sadly. - After all, it is people who compose them ... And the fact that they show us old and terrible - it’s more convenient for someone, probably ... It’s easier to explain the inexplicable, and it’s easier to arouse hostility ... You, too, will cause more sympathy if they burn the young and beautiful rather than the old and terrible, right?
“Well, I’m also very sorry for the old women ... but not the evil ones, of course,” Stella said with her eyes downcast. – It’s a pity for any person when such a terrible end – and, twitching her shoulders, as if imitating a witch girl, she continued: – Did they really, really burn you?! Quite, completely alive? .. How must it hurt you ?!. What is your name?
Words habitually poured out of the baby in a machine-gun burst and, not having time to stop her, I was afraid that the owners would be offended in the end, and from welcome guests we would turn into a burden that they would try to get rid of as soon as possible.
But for some reason no one was offended. Both of them, both the elder and his beautiful granddaughter, answered any questions with a friendly smile, and it seemed that for some reason our presence really gave them sincere pleasure ...
My name is Anna, honey. And “really, really” I was completely burned once ... But that was a very, very long time ago. Almost five hundred Earth years have already passed...
I looked in complete shock at this amazing girl, unable to take my eyes off her, and tried to imagine what a nightmare this amazingly beautiful and gentle soul had to endure! ..
They were burned for their Gift!!! Just because they could see and do more than others! But how could people do this? And, although I had long understood that no animal was able to do what a person sometimes did, it was still so wild that for a moment I completely lost the desire to be called this same “man” .. ..
It was the first time in my life when I really heard about the real Veduns and Witches, in the existence of which I always believed ... And now, having finally seen the real Witch in reality, I, of course, terribly wanted "immediately and that's it - everything” to ask her !!! My restless curiosity "fidgeted" inside, literally squealing with impatience and begged to ask now and be sure "about everything"!..
And then, apparently without noticing it myself, I plunged so deeply into the alien world that suddenly opened up to me that I did not have time to correctly react to the suddenly mentally opened picture ... and a fire flared up around my body, terribly real in its terrible sensations. !..

Nearly half a century - that's how much Yuri Vasilievich Lepekhin gave to Russian education. For 48 years of them, the mathematician Lepekhin "served" at school No. 78 of the Krasnooktyabrsky district.

Lepekhin phenomenon

“He is our pride, our symbol,” Galina Yegorkina, director of school No. 78, says about Yuri Lepekhin, “Yuri Vasilyevich is fanatically devoted to mathematics and knows how to infect his students with his love. It is thanks to him that we have such wonderful results at school. In its last release in 2013, four of the graduates received 100 points on the exam: two in mathematics and two more in computer science, the rest of the students scored 90 points or more in exams.

Yuri Vasilyevich himself is surprised at the high results. Despite the fact that his students regularly become winners and prize-winners of various competitions and olympiads, such a high level of their results at the Unified State Exam for Yuri Lepekhin was a real gift.

As soon as a teacher stops learning, he ceases to be a teacher, says Yuri Lepekhin. Photo: AiF / Nadezhda Kuzmina

“This is a colossal, huge work,” says Yuri Lepekhin about his profession, “it’s all just not given. But I really love my job and work with great interest. The teacher must know the subject perfectly. In Soviet times, there were plans for self-education, everyone wrote them. I don't know if it's worth formalizing this case, but the idea itself is really sound. A person must learn all the time. As soon as a teacher stops learning, he stops being a teacher. He can move forward only when he himself discovers something new. This forward movement is passed on to the students. The creative spirit of the teacher is very important for the construction of all lessons. You need to think all the time about how and by what means to activate the mental activity of students, to force them to be discoverers, so that they create, think.

And Lepekhin succeeds in this. His students have no doubt that after studying with Yuri Vasilievich, they can do any university.

“I am very proud that I got into his class,” says ninth-grader Igor Nechiporov, “I have been studying with him since the fifth grade and have no regrets. Further, I have a lot of opportunities. After Yuri Vasilyevich teaches us, we can enter any university. I personally want to enter the Volga State University in Physics and Mathematics.

USE as training

Yuri Lepekhin manages to teach children in such a way that they are not at all afraid of exams.

“It must be difficult for a person,” Yuri Lepekhin is sure. It is hardship that builds character. After all, according to Yuri Vasilievich, only an empty cart rolls easily, and yesterday's schoolchildren have a difficult and not always calm life ahead, and the school should prepare for these difficulties. And one of the methods of such training, the teacher believes, is the exam.

Yuri Vasilyevich has been teaching mathematics for half a century and computer science for 25 years. Photo: AiF / Nadezhda Kuzmina

“Of course, excitement is an invariable companion of any exam, and the more often a person takes exams, the more he works, the more confident he will be in passing all subsequent exams. A habit appears,” says the teacher.

And oddly enough, according to Yuri Lepekhin, there should be more such exams for a quality education. For example, a Volgograd mathematician supports the idea of introducing mandatory exams in subjects such as physics and chemistry. Without them, the honored teacher believes, it is simply impossible for our country to move forward. Especially in conditions when here and there Russia is threatened with all sorts of sanctions: “We just need to pull ourselves together and set up our production, restore agriculture, industry, so that our departments do not need anything, including highly qualified specialists."

To captivate the child, to make him create and think - this is the main task of the teacher, - the teacher is sure. Photo: AiF / Nadezhda Kuzmina

First in the country

The merits of Yuri Vasilievich Lepekhin were repeatedly appreciated at the highest level, including by the head of state. So in 2009 he was awarded the title of "People's Teacher of Russia" and received an award from the then President Dmitry Medvedev. The Volgograd mathematician was also awarded three orders - the Order of Honor, the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor; has the title of People's Teacher of Russia and, as one of the best teachers in the country, received a presidential grant. On May 1, 2014, on the eve of the 50th anniversary of his teaching career, Yuri Lepekhin, the first teacher in the country, was awarded the Star of the Hero of Labor for special services to the state and people.

“This meeting made an indelible impression on me,” Yuri Lepekhin talks about the presentation of awards in the Kremlin. - It was extremely exciting and very pleasant to receive such the highest award of our Motherland from the hands of the head of state Vladimir Putin. This meeting will remain in my soul and heart for the rest of my life, without a doubt.”

Yuri Lepekhin is not going to end his career, having received the Star of the Hero of Labor. This year, he took class leadership of the fifth graders, and will work at the school for at least another seven years.

Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation LEPEKHIN Yury Vasilyevich

At the time of awarding the title of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation - a teacher at the municipal educational institution "Secondary School No. 78" in the city of Volgograd.

From the speech of Yu.V. Lepekhina at the ceremony of awarding gold medals "Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation", May 1, 2014, Moscow, Kremlin:

“Let me sincerely thank you for such a high assessment of the teacher's work.

Now, when modernization will inevitably begin in our country, work is very important for us - hard, intense, science-intensive work. And the school should now educate such a person.

I live in a city where the ancient, heroic Mamaev Kurgan looks at us demandingly, sternly and wisely. We, the people of Volgograd, remember very well your words, Vladimir Vladimirovich, which you said a year ago at the opening of the Popular Front. How without Stalingrad? Where Stalingrad is, there is victory. We are ready to make every effort to bring up fiery, sincere patriots of our Motherland, they are so necessary for our Motherland! We will now try to work in such a way that every student, leaving school, can say:

Teachers taught us, disheveled and frivolous,

To the way the Earth spins and the stars fall to the Earth,

How apples ripen in orchards and how poems give birth to tears,

And how white birch trees yearn for something in the cities.

The Earth is stubbornly spinning, and we are making earthly ones.

The teachers taught us, and they taught us very correctly.”
