The first mention of a new musical group dates back to January 2011. And in March, Lee Soo-man, the producer of SM Entertainment, announced the debut of the musical group, which later became known by its own name: EXO. Under their name, which later became widely known to the world community, the young musicians first appeared on SBS Gayo Daejun in its traditional annual show, which aired on TV screens on January 29.
Not more than a month later, at the end of January 2012, the EXO Navtov double team performed the song What Is Love, released in Korean and Chinese versions. Subsequently, this manner of bilingual performance of their songs will become a permanent feature of the band, one of its peculiar markers.
In March, the band's second musical composition, History, was released under the authorship and production of Thomas Troelsen.
Already on March 31, the group presented their first concert at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. The next day, the big hall of the Beijing University of International Business and Economics awaited the musicians.
But the true threshold of success, the start of the "promotion" of the group was their composition Mama. XOXO EXO announced their first joint studio album in May 2013. In June, the album was released in two versions, the Korean Kiss and the Chinese Hug.

Exo in Russia
Of course, I really wanted such a popular team to visit Russia. When the rumor spread that EXO would visit Russia, fans could hardly believe it. But the guys did it and visited Kazan and the closing of the 2013 Universiade.
Moscow was the first to meet the performers, eyewitnesses said that despite the many hours of flight, the guys were tired, but still smiling. As soon as the group took off from Moscow, fans of their work were already gathering at the Kazan airport. But the flight was delayed. The fans were more worried and upset not for themselves, but for the guys who were tired on the road.
When the guys arrived, the fans behaved very calmly, did not shout, did not push. And for such an adequate attitude, we got the opportunity to walk next to the idols along the main street of Kazan and take a few photos. The show itself was so good that even its hosts, far from such music, highly appreciated it.
