Warm insoles for shoes. How to make your own orthopedic insoles How to make homemade insoles for shoes

Here's what I needed:

  • felt insoles - 2 pcs.,
  • nichrome wire - 60 cm,
  • MGTF wire (not important) 0.2 (mm. sq.) about - 3m.,
  • battery compartment for 4 batteries - 2 pcs.,
  • three-position switch - 2 pcs.,
  • mini jack connector - 2 sets (socket + plug),
  • crimp sleeve 0.2 (mm sq.) - 4 pcs.,
  • heat shrink tube - 1m.,
  • Velcro strips of fabric
  • hot glue.

How heated insoles work

I will explain the principle of operation of the whole scheme. As a heater, I took a nichrome thread with a diameter of 0.2 mm and a length of 25.5 cm. The resistance of such a segment was 8.9 ohms. The scheme provides for two modes of operation: from two or from three batteries. In the dual battery mode, the insoles will be constantly warm.

When working from three - nichrome will be hot, but do not be afraid, there will be no discomfort from this. Before installation, I advise you to do a test run in both modes. It is done simply: you need to take a nichrome thread connected to a power source and put it in a light fabric (a handkerchief folded in half). Hold this fabric between your hands for a minute.

If it is hot, then the heater should be taken longer, and if it heats poorly, we shorten it. This way you will be sure that your heated insoles will not become toasted insoles. The estimated current when working from two batteries or batteries will be approximately 270 mA, and from three - 400 mA. Knowing the capacity of your batteries, you can approximately calculate the operating time of home-made heated insoles.

I attached a 0.2 mm MGTF wire to nichrome. sq. using crimp sleeves. It is necessary to put the sleeve on nichrome, then its end is inserted into the stripped stranded MGTF. A sleeve is stretched at the place of their junction and crimped. I used a special crimping tool, but you can do it with pliers. I took the wires so long that their length from the insole was 50 cm .. Just under my shoes.

Regarding how to lay the heater on the insole. I decided that since I don’t get cold in the heels, the main task is to keep warm in the forefoot. The photo shows the shape of the styling that I use. Experience has shown that the decision was correct.

With neat stitches, I fixed the heater in the desired pattern on the insole.

I sewed the MGTF wires to the insole on the side, pulled heat shrink over the rest, and soldered the ends to the plug. The insole is ready.

The battery compartment had to be redone to fit its scheme. I allocated one cell for a switch and a mini jack socket. Soldered everything according to the scheme. After, all this was filled with hot glue.

The remaining cells should be signed, because, as can be seen from the diagram, there is a difference in which cell will be empty - the first or third. Batteries are protected from falling out with a simple rubber band. This is not a deep idea, but the absence of battery compartments with a lid in the store.

In general, I decided to break this vicious circle and end the torment. Especially since he just accumulated suitable material. So, I decided to make insoles with my own hands from denim. I know that orthopedic insoles are made with their own hands, but my version is very simple, without any frills. I chose jeans not by chance, since it is a fairly durable fabric, although another, similarly wear-resistant fabric is also suitable.

So, first you need to put your foot on the paper and circle the foot along the contour. The lines need to be “corrected” into smoother ones, and then cut out. This will be our pattern. You can try another option, just take the old insole, if its condition allows, and just circle it as well.

Then, with our paper pattern, we proceed to the choice of fabric by size. Having picked up the desired piece, you need to glue it with interlining, or other adhesive cloth.

This stage is done for strength and to prevent stretching of the jeans. You can also use regular cotton fabric.

The direction of the thread should run along the pattern (partial thread). It is easy to determine this: you need to pull the fabric a little, the side that stretches the least and will be shared.

So, we apply our pattern to the fabric and circle with soap (chalk) along the contour, with front side.

Then turn the pattern over and circle again. Before cutting, check the correctness of the outline. Leave a seam allowance of 1 cm. You should get 4 parts for one pair of insoles.

Then we fold parts 1 and 2 with the right sides inward and grind, leaving 5 cm on a flat area. We also grind parts 3 and 4.

The allowances can be cut a little (so that there are no thickenings), and on the turns - we make small notches (in order to turn it out better) and turn it inside out.

We sew our opening on the front side and iron it.

The final touch is the stitching of the insoles. This can be done by hand or with a machine.
So, our insoles are ready!

One of the important elements in shoes are insoles. Their main purpose is to close the seams and create comfortable conditions when worn. They can also perform various functions:

  • ensure walking comfort;
  • correct the arch of the foot;
  • evenly distribute the load on the legs;
  • provide an additional layer to prevent moisture ingress and retain heat.

You can choose any models of insoles depending on the purpose and the main purpose for which you want to buy them. But it is best to create them yourself. So you can choose the right material and adjust all the necessary sizes and shapes of the product.

Consider the simplest option for creating thin insoles.

Materials and tools

To do this, you will need the following tools and materials.

  • Denim or any durable fabric to create a reliable and durable product.
  • Sewing machine or a set of threads and needles for sewing.
  • Pencils, ruler, bar of soap to mark the material.
  • You can also use graph paper to build a pattern.

Manufacturing

After preparing everything you need, you can start creating the product. To do this, do everything according to the presented plan.

  • Put your feet on the paper, circle the foot along the contour.
  • Transfer the resulting silhouette to denim with a bar of soap or crayon. Leave a margin of approximately 0.5-1 cm for stitching the material.
  • Cut out 2 pieces for each foot. In total, you should get 4 blanks.
  • After that, lay 2 parts on top of each other, sew the edges with sewing machine or manually. Iron all seams.
  • After that, insert the product inside the shoe, if necessary, process the edges.

IMPORTANT! The choice of denim is based on its durability and ease of use. This material is easy to wash and reuse.

How to make thick insoles

To make warm insoles, you will need to apply the plan described above. But as a material, take a denser fabric or add wool to the base of the workpiece. The set of tools will not differ from the way the thin version is made.

The most important difference is the use of wool inside the product.

Advice! Before sewing the upper and lower parts together, place the insulated material.

With long wear inside the shoe, the insole may wear out. It is best to wear leather insoles, the foot will not rot in them, but will breathe. The girl will be comfortable.

The shoe store sells leather insoles, the price is about 300 rubles for one pair. Shoe repair offers a service such as replacement of insoles. But why pay money when you can make an insole with your own hands ..

Materials and tools:

Transparent glue "Moment";
- Genuine Leather;
- scissors;
- a piece of chalk;

How to make insoles in leather shoes with your own hands?

Note: you can circle the insole around your foot, or you can do it over the old insole. You can buy a leather product in a second-hand store, use an old bag, boots or jacket. It is better to use transparent glue "Moment". It is less toxic, with surpluses it is not so excreted. In this example, the insoles are 38 foot sizes, and the shoes are 37, so the insole from the sketch is a little larger.

1. We make insoles in classic black women's shoes. The photo shows that the insoles are in very poor condition.

2. We take out the old insoles from the shoes. In our case, they pulled out easily.

3. In this embodiment, a piece of leather from a vest. We place the insoles in such a way that the 2nd fit on the segment. We circle with small.

4. It turns out such a sketch.

5. Cut out the sketch with scissors.

6. Insert into the shoe. The insole turned out to be more than a shoe.

7. Cut off the edges and try on. We cut until the insole is exactly on the old insole in the shoe.

On one shoe, a part under the insole came off. Cut out a small piece of leather in the form of leather and glue. Next, we apply glue inside the shoe and it is possible on the insole itself.

8. Glue leather insoles. And that's it!

In order to make the shoes look better, we take black shoe polish and a soft sponge. We put a little shoe polish on the shoes, rub it with a sponge. If there are flaws, scuffs on the shoes, then they are hidden. Gutalin covers them up a bit. If the shoes have lost their color a little, then the color becomes more saturated.

We do what we can do with our own hands! After our description, you know how to make a shoe insole with your own hands. We put the money that could be spent on insoles in a piggy bank.

On the site, the site is an assistant in many everyday matters. We know the answers to all questions.

Bad weather, damp ... We make INSOLES OURSELVES!

We make INSOLES ourselves from ... GASKETS !!!

It has long been no secret - the use of gaskets for warming winter shoes. Only now, for myself, I recently discovered how conveniently and without problems to install them in boots or shoes.
For me, this was a problem - they, the pads, were always crumpled, wrinkled and not evenly located in the shoes. Oddly enough, the problem is solved with the help of insoles

INSOLES WITH A HEAT SHIELD?!

On the winter fishing frost is the worst. I can tell you how to keep your feet warm, even if you are not wearing expensive modern shoes, but ordinary shoe covers.
It's all about the insoles inside your shoe. A double felt insole is not yet a guarantee of warmth on severe frost. But if a foil heat shield is inserted between two layers of felt, this is a completely different matter.
First, we take out the insole and mark the foil on it, as if on a pattern. Not any foil will do: too thin will tear. I have successfully used the material from the baby food package "Malyutka". Foiled flower wrap material is also suitable.
Cut out the foil insert. Now it is necessary to cut the double insole on one side, insert the foil inside and sew it up (see fig.).

It is important that the foil is facing the mirror side of the foot. In order not to confuse the removed insoles during drying, it is advisable to mark them with appropriate inscriptions made with a marker. In the process of fishing, the heat will be reflected from the foil and return back to the foot, as a result, the legs will be much more comfortable and warmer.

You probably noticed that in frosty weather the feet freeze first. In the cold, blood circulation slows down, blood does not flow well to the limbs. Our feet get cold quickly. And then the consequences come ... Colds, cystitis, kidney disease - this is a small list of what hypothermia threatens the feet.

But how do you keep warm? After all, sometimes in the evening after work you have to wait a long time for transport, and even walks on fresh air no one canceled in the winter. Then even boots with thick soles and woolen socks do not help to keep warm. Your fingers begin to go numb and you feel the cold spreading throughout your body. That's why I prepared for you effective way warm your feet in winter.
YOU WILL NEED
winter shoes
scissors
marker heat reflector
A foil heat reflector for installation behind the battery can be purchased at any hardware store.

PROCEDURE
Remove the insole from your boot and apply it to the heat reflector sheet. Mark the edges of the insole with a marker. Cut out the insole from the heat reflector with scissors and place it in the boot. Place a regular insole on top.
And one more important detail: advice from an experienced tourist! In order for the foot to “breathe” better, it is necessary to punch several holes in the insole with a diameter of 3-4 mm. Thus, the reflector will return heat to the body and prevent the ingress of cold from the ground. May you be warm and cozy this winter!

THE WARMEST JUICE BAG BOOTS INSOLE

The warmest insoles for boots. Amazing close by.

I will recommend what I myself have been using for a long time and am very satisfied. Such insoles do not require any expenses, they are made from what we usually throw away.

Buy a large paper bag of juice.

Drink the juice, cut the package so that you get a canvas. Wipe well, removing stickiness from sugar. After that, we cut the insoles to size from the resulting canvas and place them in the shoes in such a way that inner part package (where the foil is) was turned towards the foot. You can put a felt insole on top. Thus, we get a permanent foot warmer, which works by reflecting the heat of the foot.
