  6. The bottom of the grooves is covered with rubble, which will become like a pillow for the supports. Then the entire structure is concreted with a mixture of cement, crushed stone and sand in a ratio of 1: 4: 2. It takes two days for the solution to harden.
  7. Next, you need to do the welding with your own hands of the frame of the gate from the profile pipe as accurately as possible. This must be done in such a way that the design has all the available angles and diagonals of the same size.
  8. After that, you need to weld the hinges to the support posts, and then to the gate frame.
  9. When the cleaning of the consequences of welding is completed, they begin to grind the surface, after which it is treated with a primer and wait for it to dry.
  10. Apply paint to metal.
  11. Professional sheets are attached to the finished frame with self-tapping screws. They can be placed from the outside or from the inside of the frame - it depends on the personal preferences of the owners of the site. If it is planned to decorate the gate using forged elements, then the sheets are fixed exclusively from the inside of the gate frame. When wooden boards are used for finishing, they are pre-varnished. Forged products are welded to the frame of the gate.

Construction of sliding gates equipped with a gate

Before welding a gate from a profile pipe, a drawing of the designed structure is made. In the process of its development, it must be taken into account that a gap equal to half the size of the gate is left on the side. In order for the structure to last long enough, it is necessary to correctly calculate its mass and determine what the material of manufacture will be.

First, the supporting elements are concreted in a vertical position, after which the foundation is poured. The depth of the foundation and immersion of the pillars in the ground must be at least one meter. In this case, the length of the foundation should be ½ of the width of the gate.


The work on the manufacture of the frame involves welding in a checkerboard pattern of metal corners with a 30-centimeter gap. The guide is fixed on the lower edge of the frame, after which profiled sheets are attached to it. At the end, a roller platform is installed on the foundation, and its top is fixed to the pillars. The verticality of the installation of the gate is checked by a level.
