Always cooking charlotte, I didn’t have enough acid, although I usually took sour apples, but still I wanted something else and yesterday I decided to add tangerines to the charlotte - I really liked the result, now I’ll tell you the recipe.

We take 5 eggs
pour a glass of sugar


and start beating. My blender broke and I had to do it manually, but I think this made the dough even tastier, because manual labor was invested in it)

This process is the longest and most difficult. Ideally, the eggs and sugar should be white and very thick, but I usually don’t bring it to this state, because I don’t have enough patience, but nevertheless, even in the form I whip the dough to, it rises superbly, very airy and melts in my mouth)

By the end of whipping, pour out the vanillin and the result should be the most airy and light mass.


While the eggs and sugar are being beaten, take out the middle of the apples and cut into slices.


We divide the tangerine into slices and if large slices come across, cut them in half


Grease a baking sheet well with butter.


And randomly lay out apples and tangerines


All this time, the dough is constantly whipping.

Now you need to pay off the soda. Pour baking soda into a tablespoon


Pour a little 9% vinegar


And wait until everything stops hissing


Slaked soda helps the dough to be more airy, porous and actively rise.

Turn on the oven at 170 degrees to warm up.

When the eggs and sugar are beaten, pour in the slaked soda and gradually add the sifted flour


And very carefully whisk the flour into the dough with a whisk, so that you get a thick dough, similar to thick sour cream

You need to mix as carefully as possible so as not to knock down all the bubbles from whipping and so that the dough remains just as tender and airy.
Now pour the dough into the mold with fruit


Place immediately in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. The cake should rise by about 2-2.5 times. In this photo, I took a picture too early when I checked the degree of readiness with a toothpick, but the cake should have this color or a little darker, in fact, my dough was much higher than the form


After there is no raw dough left on the toothpick, it means it is ready, we immediately turn the hot dough over onto a dish and this is what happened


Mandarin did not give excess fluid, and the cake rose well and became airy, the tangerine also gave sourness and an interesting aftertaste. This is my quite successful experience, which my men liked)

Most likely, we got it from the classic English charlotte, which was prepared by layering white bread soaked in an egg mixture with apples boiled in sugar syrup.

Let's prepare the usual biscuit dough: beat the eggs with sugar with a blender, add flour and baking powder, vanillin. Mix until smooth. Recently I have been brewing biscuit dough with a mixture of 3 tablespoons of boiling water mixed with 3 tablespoons vegetable oil. It turns out a very elastic dough.

Pour the dough into a baking dish lined with baking paper, lay out the tangerine slices evenly. I also cut them in half.

Hello, friends! In the morning I have a very pleasant ritual that I never change.

This is the morning breakfast. I always eat a bowl of oatmeal in the morning. Sometimes I alternate with rice porridge, which she learned to cook with glutinous rice.

But I really love oatmeal made with traditional oatmeal flakes. And I try to add various fruits and berries to oatmeal. It can be simple raisins, cinnamon apples, mangoes or a spoonful of jam.

But oatmeal with a banana is especially good. Banana, once in hot porridge, begins to melt and gives it an extra creamy-sweet taste. Therefore, why change what brings me pleasure in the morning? It might be boring as hell for some people to have porridge for breakfast, but for me it's damn delicious. And I never get tired of this healthy breakfast!

Oatmeal rich in fiber, fats and protein compounds, while it is an easily digestible product. In the morning, this is a wonderful hearty breakfast, while you won’t gain extra kilos from it. Porridge helps to normalize the motor function of the intestine - and this is the most important thing in the morning meal. I won’t even write about the vitamins and minerals of oatmeal, it is really very useful.

I buy regular oat flakes that take a long time to boil. I think porridge fast food in the process of processing, many vitamins and usefulness are lost. Well, this is my opinion.

Don't know what English oatmeal tastes like? Yes, and whether they eat oatmeal at all, I already strongly doubt it. But having visited a local cafe in Hua Hin where English breakfasts are prepared, I realized that the British eat not at all what I thought.

The cafe is clean and tidy. Powerful wooden tables and chairs, waving the English flag at the entrance. And the regulars of the establishment.

On this day, I tried an English breakfast for the first time:

  • thin meat sausage like sausage, but quite tasty.
  • fried bacon - 2 large pieces. Oh my stomach!

And they gave us:

  • large pot of freshly brewed tea
  • milk
  • jam for toast
  • sugar

I am writing myself in shock, how could we manage such huge portions? 😯 Then I realized how Winnie the Pooh felt stuck in the door of the Rabbit's house. It suited me more as a lunch and dinner, if you divide the portion into 2 times. Everything was delicious, but it was too greasy and hard for me to eat in the morning.

Then I realized that I had to look for my favorite oatmeal and cook myself delicious and healthy breakfast. And as soon as we moved to live in where there is a kitchen, I immediately bought oatmeal.

Imagine, here oatmeal is brought directly from Australia. 🙂 I like the McGarrett brand. Clean flakes and boil well.

How to cook oatmeal

I cook oatmeal in a rice cooker, in our opinion, a slow cooker. I put all the ingredients - oatmeal, milk, water and turn on the cooking.

I like a little thin porridge, so for 1.5 cups of oatmeal I take 3 cups of water and 3 cups of milk.

I cook porridge for about 10 minutes. I do not close the rice cooker yet and occasionally stir the porridge. As soon as the porridge boils, cook for another 5 minutes, close the lid and turn off the rice cooker. Let the porridge itself sweat for another 10 minutes. In the meantime, you can do a light exercise 😉

I add salt to taste in ready-made portions to my taste. And of course my favorite bananas. I use them instead of sugar. Banana in oatmeal gives it some softness and such a delicate creamy taste that adding something else is unnecessary.

Cooking time: 25 minutes

Ingredients(for 2 servings):

  • 1.5 st. oatmeal
  • 3 art. water
  • 3 art. milk
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • sea ​​salt and some sugar

Note: 1 measuring cup = 140 ml.

Cooking scheme:

  1. Pour all the ingredients into the multicooker
  2. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally with a spoon to prevent burning.
  3. As soon as it boils, cook for another 5 minutes, then cover with a lid and turn off the slow cooker.
  4. 10 minutes oatmeal will sweat itself and reach
  5. Slice a ripe banana and add to your serving
  6. Salt and sugar to taste

Yes, in the video I decided not to repeat myself with a banana and cooked oatmeal with raisins and jackfruit. It turned out amazingly delicious. She didn't expect that. In hot porridge, sunny jackfruit slices soften a little and you get something like sweet jam with pieces of fresh fruit.
